Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. In this blog, I will be taking you through some of the shows I saw during the summer holidays. This was a range of dance, musicals and puppets. So without further ado, here are the shows I saw during the summer of 2026:

Evolution:

One of the shows I saw this Summer was ā€œEvolutionā€, a show created by Strictly Come Dancing star Kai Widdrington. I’m normally not one for dance shows, but me and my Nan are huge fans of Strictly Come Dancing, and as he was coming to my hometown of Newark, this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on. It was energetic, funny, and I admired how he incorporated his life story into his dancing to make him the person we all know and love today. Jersey Boys:

Jersey Boys was one show I really wanted to see, and I’m glad I saw it! Telling the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, I was fully immersed in the highs and lows on how this famous quartet became the icons they were today. It was also the anniversary of when the dhow first started touring, so even more of a reason to see it. At Sea:

As part of Nottingham Puppet Festival, I went to watch a show called At Sea. This was a non verbal puppet show where it tells the story of a sailor going on a dangerous journey in search for his heart compass. If you’ve ever seen shows like Pingu, you’ll know that they use gibberish speech, but through visuals and gestures, you can still get the story. And other than some restless children, it was a brilliant show to watch. Operation Mincemeat:

At the Theatre Royal in Nottingham, I had the honour of seeing this incredible show based on a true story. I didn’t think I would like this show as it did take me a while to get my head around the original story, but I’m glad I saw it. ItĀ had humour, catchy songs, and some emotional moments. Click the link below to read a full review of the show and when you can catch it next (but the sooner you book the better I’d say).

And those were the shows I saw this summer! Let me know if you’ve seen any of them and what your thoughts on them were!Ā

See you soon for another blog. Until next time…

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
