Hello world! Welcome back to another blog! This week involved a visit from The Devil himself, celebrating Halloween & making it through the week despite being abit poorly. So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 27th October 2025!
Professional:
Acting Class:
This week in my class we looked at more stuff for the open house event. These included the game “Just a minute” where I felt at the last hurdle, and another improvisation game which involved dying the first thing that came to my head. The first version where we had to say the story one person at a time. The second version where we had to swap if we agree with the previous sentence. The third version in a similar formatting but acting it out, the fourth version where two people say the story and then one person acting it out. 5 AND 6. We then looked at more monologue material. Mine went really well, and I got some really good feedback after the notes given last week. Although with my comedy impressions, I would need to relook at it completely. I do trust my teacher’s feedback, so I can see why he said what he said (and quite frankly it’ll save me a lot of worrying as well), but how I’m going to do it I don’t know. But when there’s a Will, there’s a way. and I will find a way.

Acting Jobs:
This week I applied for more acting jobs. I did miss a few due to being poorly (which I'll mention in the Challenging times of this blog), but for the ones I did apply for I'm glad I did. There was even one being filmed in a country I always wanted to go, and as I'm writing this, I'm still in the draft phase of it. But I'll update you in the next weekly highlights the status of that job.
Animorsels Event:
This week was the week I performed at the event in Nottingham. Despite me only being in a small section of it I felt I did really well, despite someone shouting something in the audience (which I did see the funny side of later on). And despite missing one line, I got a good response from the audience, with one of them being a friend from my acting class. Keep an eye out for a blog all about the night and how I applied for it in the first place and also a YouTube video where I took you through the night itself.
Content Posting:
This week I did some more filming and eventually posted my Halloween sketch. Despite putting it on my social media at different times, it glad I posted something that’s linked to Halloween. Here is the full sketch below on my TikTok for you to watch.

Act On This Podcast:
Towards the end of the week I caught up on another amazing podcast with director Daniel O’Hara. I’ve definitely learnt a lot, particularly about how when you work with two different directors and how to manage two different relationships. But I thought the session was brilliant, and I definitely took away lots of tips and tricks needed to work with him. And after talking about how he filmed a chase scene in “Lazarus”, it’s definitely on my watchlist.
Coronation Street:
This wee I watched the show from 22nd and 24th October. This saw Theo getting an email from Danielle after Todd talks to him about Pete, with Kit getting suspicious about how Theo paid for the car. And following Theo’s mess in the last episode, Maria stated that Gary can change his mind, otherwise the business will be in ruins. But it looks like Todd may have done it for him after Gary hyped up Pete but, Todd discovering that Pete was the one who slept with Theo and revealed the truth to Gary. This then led Todd to confront Theo about Pete, with Theo flipping the situation and giving George their voucher back which he gave them earlier (where he provoked him into an answer as to why George gave it to them, linking to a pay rise whilst Theo for the crocodile tears going and putting the blame on Pete). Gary then revealed he’ll going to replace him soon if he’s not careful, but a notification got him suspicious of Todd again. Theo the next day then playfully mocked Todd about the car keys, all while Gary was not convinced about their supplier, calling it time on his working relationship with Theo. After Todd and George sorted out business stuff, and had a chat with Sarah about Theo and his new car (which she admired), her question about why he’s avoiding Billy was interrupted when she got a call from the school about Harry, using Todd’s car to pick him up. Theo being “fine” with the mess in Todd’s car after harry spills the milkshake I felt was all an act, with Todd being on edge of what will happen next; and my suspicions were right, as he blamed Todd, making him pay for the damage. And after Todd got the car cleaned, he damaged it again, all all woke George checked in on Theo, with him offering some jobs. Kevin told Todd he’ll do his best whilst having 2 mechanics down, whilst Gary made up with Theo and hearing about the car. During a tense moment at dinner, Theo berated Todd on Sarah and the car, leading to a moment that’s hard to watch and Sarah calling in to give them a drink, unbeknown to them in what’s going on. It then ended with Theo pouring milk on Todd, causing it to be another hard watch. But that wasn’t the only drama. Becky talked to Betsy about Spain and asking about Carla when she asks about Lisa coming, while Lisa thanked Roy for his wise words about Becky and Carla. But her peace and quiet didn’t last long, as Lisa berates Betsy for skiving work, with her storming off, but Becky did a good job at trying to get Betsy to come round, explaining that the factory is a huge part of some people’s life, telling her to go back to work until things are sorted. This then got Becky stating that she’ll show Lisa can trust her, which I know won’t end well. Meanwhile, Christina is hiding her guilt when George mentions about the award whilst she got evicted, and Todd persuaded him to forget about the stiffy, which caused suspicions Todd’s relationship with Theo. Christina then got talking to George about being homeless, with him offering a place to stay, upsetting Glenda whilst George talked about his stuffy again. But the mood soon turned when Christina revealed the truth, upsetting George. But after some time to calm down, he came to find Christina and apologising to her, and admitting their feelings for one another. Along with all that, Nina asked Asha on how she was, with Asha understandably wanting to not talk about it, but not before Nina stated that she needs to talk to someone. But unbeknownst to her, Gemma and Bernie were going over the plan to expose Naomi, covering it as mother and daughter time to Toyah, with Naomi getting annoyed of her client getting stuck in traffic being a signal of the plan kicking off. It wasn’t long before Bernie revealed the plan to Toyah when she gets suspicious, asking how it’ll help anything. Kit also asked Dev if he and Asha are okay, with dev revealing the truth, but got a call from Toyah to stop the mother and daughter, and just in time when things kicked off, arresting her, Gemma and Bernie. But not before dev told her the impact it’s had on Asha, with Nina showing Asha a video of it, shocked that Dev told her about her suicide attempt. Asha then made it clear she was not happy about it, with Dev insisting he’s trying. But he only went and blamed Bernie for the video, but Kit revealing that she’s charged with GBH, but Asha staying at a friends, mad as she wanted to get justice for herself, with Dev kicking out Bernie. This then got Bernie reflecting on the previous episode, thinking about Asha and asked if the quad’s birthday party will be a good distraction. It was clear that Dev was still mad at her after getting off the phone to Aadi about Asha, And Gemma showing Bernie Naomi’s hate didn’t help, fearing a divorce. It was a good job Cassie reassured Dev that Asha will be okay. And following that, we all need people like Roy, who offered his kindness whilst Abi and Carl go job hunting, with Abi adamant not to go dodgy and suggesting to branch out. Carl then pointing at dev for ideas, but Dev refusing to help, following her soon taking over after Dev rushed to the bistro which was linking to Asha’s situation. And whilst Jack understood how Kevin was feeling and his feelings towards Abi, Jack telling him to pull himself together as moping about was not helping, and even refusing to get a divorce from Abi, confronting her at the chippy. After that madness, Carl convinced Abi that Kevin will calm down following a bad shift at the kebab shop but saying she doesn’t want anything from him. Still, Abi asked Bernie to get Dev a good word, whilst Kevin walks out of the cafe after seeing Abi, and it seems like Carl is in Debbie’s hood books again after helping her with the invoice and telling Nick they’re booked out due to another event. But his good streak didn’t last long when Dylan turned down another job which carl was offering, with Abi catching him in the act. And Debbie caught Abi taking pictures of Carl's details, with Debbie searching his bag and Abi debating whether to go through with the job after seeing a picture of Jack and Alfie. Debbie then tried to catch her but mistook her for someone else, leading Debbie giving Carl a job at the hotel whilst Carl has a plan of his own, and Abi did admit that she wasn’t going to steal the car in fear of loosing Alfie, so at least that’s something. Elsewhere, Hope got more messages whilst Tyrone tried to tell Fiz to slow down, and convincing her to go on a lunch date with Cassie. Before that, Hope confided in Cassie about Tyrone and also going trick or treating, with Jake making a snide comment about it. And later on, Hope made it clear to jake to stop pestering her, with Gary telling him it’s not worth it, giving hints he’s the bully. And it’s a good job she wasn’t there during lunch, as after Nick promised Cassie about the accessibility, it went off to an awkward start, all while Tyrone snapped at her for it listening, causing her to leave. And after complimenting Ollie and Dee Dee, with Dee Dee checking in on Tyrone, Ollie was the hero of the hour after someone takes Fiz's bag. But it caused Tyrone to reveal his jealousy of Ollie, causing another argument about his independency. One moment of that episode saw Glenda getting advice from George about the new owners, and did didn’t have to wait long, as 27th October saw Eva Price (now Driscoll) coming back to coronation street, with her partner Ben surprising her with the rovers, giving the keys as proof. Whilst some were delighted like Sean, others like Maria were not so pleased. This led to her gossiping to Fiz about it whilst Fiz and Tyrone have different thoughts on Hope going to a Halloween party (with Tyrone going abit too far), but Gary convinced her that Eva being back may not be that bad. But amongst it, Ben stated that he used The flying horse as a cover story to get the rovers, and Dee Dee got annoyed with him for getting in her space, only to find that Ben is actually Ollie’s dad, so o can imagine the awkward tension in the air after that revelation. But Leanne finally had the chance to meet Eva since her last appearance followed by Sarah and Nick, with Leanne getting annoyed with Toyah (who was upset about Eva coming back). And whilst she suggested that Toyah and Leanne sort things out, it only got more awkward when Leanne walked in on Nick proposing to Toyah, making her mad her. Oh dear… and whilst now toddler Susie got her sass on, Ben asks Ollie about something to do for him, and he made it clear he doesn’t want to do it. Back at the bistro, Toyah and Leanne finally came face to face, with Eva getting into a lock in until it’s sorted once and for all, whilst Brian and George tell Susie about what’s special about the rovers and everyone going to the bistro until the situation is sorted. And it seems that Eva convincing Leanne and Toyah that Nick is the problem seemed to have worked, but the mood sooner turned sour when Glenda revealed that the money from Carla’s solicitor hadn’t come through, with Eva berating her with Maria laughing on. Toyah later told Nick not to marry her as she wanted to focus on her relationship with Eva and also state she doesn’t need a ring to be happy. And after Susie was being cheeky with regards to siblings and her favourite aunties, Leanne leaving with her led go Ben sorting out the money situation, having a lock-in to celebrate, with Brian having one too many, and bens mum Maggie turning up reveal it was her money Ben got. It looks like things are about to get interesting on the cobbles. Outside of this though, a tense moment between Todd and Theo came following the last episode, with the milk situation being funny to Theo but not to Todd. Theo form helped out George whilst Sarah convinced Todd to sell the car for Theo’s sake, which didn’t go down well, with him being mad at Todd for selling the car, with Todd trying to state that he did it for Theo. At first I wasn’t convinced that the voice note form Carla was genuine, but Sarah revealing that she set up the job and Todd begging her to keep it a secret led me to change my mind. And finally, Hope told Cassie about the Halloween party, with Cassie convincing her to go, with Hope getting her hair done whilst Cassie tells a story. This only led her to find Jake being the one behind the text, and after Cassie tries to apologise, Hope finally told the truth. Jake then convinced that he didn’t send anything which Gary believes whilst throne comes back late. Now either he’s telling the truth or he’s just a really good liar. So I do wonder what’s going on? Finally 30th October saw Eva officially having her name on the door, which was then followed by a team meeting with ideas for Halloween. Ben stated rightly that Eva is the landlady whilst Maggie is the silent partner, and Maggie went on a trip down memory lane. and Ben listening to Eva when they decided on Betty. But for Ben, Glenda points out Kevin (who mocked Cark earlier) led to Kevin revealing the truth about Carl after Dee Dee told Ollie about his court case being dropped. Ben was soon grilling Ollie about it, with Ollie being adamant that it was at a different garage, and Ben was there thankfully to stop kevin from doing the unthinkable after cark didn’t get a job from Fiona and an argument pushed Kevin’s buttons. It then led to Ollie believing that Ben hit Carl, but soon learnt the truth, and Ben stated that he should've been there for him more. However I have a feeling that you do not want to mess with Ben when he made a threat to Carl. Meanwhile, Toyah admitted she doesn’t see herself getting married, with Leanne telling Nick to look after her. This then gave Nick the idea of doing a “non-proposal” with Leanne convinced she’s fine, which clearly she isn’t. Elsewhere, Lisa was on edge for Carla coming back, and after Carla surprised her and having some alone time, Becky was soon intimidating Carla of what they got up to whilst she was away. Lisa explaining to Carla that Becky was only there for Betsy and helping her didn’t make Carla so sure, so a visit to Roy and getting an update on what Lisa said ended with Roy asking Carla if she believes it. This then prompted Carla to draw a line, but after seeing spoilers, there’s more trouble to come. And after Roy helped Jake to spell whilst he offers Fiz on making a lasagna, Hope smashed his phone, still convinced that he was responsible for the messages. This prompted Gary and Izzy to report it to Tyrone, and not having an idea on it, with Fiz telling Roy on how he lost his confidence with his accident. But the couple had another argument on why she didn’t tell Tyrone, and I have a feeling it won’t be the last. Finally, Gemma was setting up the party for the quads, and at least Dev apologised to Bernie was a good thing. Asha soon went back out after coming, and Gemma trying go apologise and talk about her post natal depression didn’t do her any wonders. But it was only when Maggie found Asha after a panic attack where she got talking to her, stating how she felt sad since Craig died. Maggie then convinced her to get support like she did with patients, prompting her to get help and calling Maggie her friend which I thought was a real turning point for her.
Hollyoaks:
This week saw the aftermath of the explosive 30th anniversary week. Mondays episode saw Donny and Warren coming back to the village following the tense encounter in Liverpool. Warren made it clear that after Lilly griff, Donny weren’t to say anything, therefore asked dodger to keep shut about what happened. Which was hard when Sienna asked him about what happened to him, and him getting flashbacks of what happened will no doubt start a long journey of healing and coming to terms with it. Donny also revealed the truth to misbah about his identity after Gemma comes to the house where it’s safe, and Vicky is equally upset after coming in to let misbah know about Dillon. When she gave the news to Leela (who was mourning peri) and Lucas about Ste’s health, Dillon made a cover story of why he was there. Warren was also gutted to hear about Mercedes miscarriage, but at least things didn’t get awkward between her and Gemma. But I wonder who she was on the phone to? After visiting tony, Diane got suspicious of Marie when Billy corkhill called her by the name of “Pauline”, leading to her revealing the truth of why she lied about being pregnant (but not the full truth after seeing spoilers). And Donny managed to catch Clare at the club, revealing the truth about how he killed Griff. Clare was also shocked to learn of Graces death, and how she caused it. But the big question is, what will Donny do when Clare asks him to run away with her? Tuesdays episode saw Dodger still having flashbacks about what happened, and Donny telling him to forget about it didn’t help. But thankfully, Cleo found him after he suffered a panic attack, where he revealed the truth to her. But he may have other things on his mind when Cleo fears that she may be going into labour, with Marie’s plan being set in motion. But one thing that may stop her is Diane, who threatens to report her for stealing money off of Tony, and also accuses her of shooting him. But Marie somehow flips the table when she questions Diane’s motives and if she shot him, stating how it’s revenge for him letting her down time and time again. Donny meanwhile plans to leave the village, but you can obviously understand Gemma and Vicky's frustration for abandoning them. But thankfully Gemma stating why he needs to stay seemed to have worked, with Misbah willing to give baby steps. But with Froggy suggesting that Gemma moves back to Liverpool, I wonder what her next move will be? And whilst the teens gave their condolences to grace despite what she did to them, Clare (still hiding in The Loft) was shocked to discover that Sully, who survived the crash in Hollyoaks: Later and explained the outcome of Griff, was actually Froggy's son. And after Frankie gave an update on Nancy and Darren’s state of mind, Lucas was also on edge with Dillon, who witnessed holding Ste’s hand in the last episode. And Dillon lied once again about why he stated he wanted to break up with Lucas (which he overheard). But I do wonder how long that will last? The final episode of the show saw Marie starting her journey to set off for her new life in Liverpool. Now Arlo stating questioning why he’s not enough after getting her plan to take Cleo’s baby in full motion. But despite some encouragement from Clare (who was on her one mission to run away) and a slip of the tongue Arlo made to Diane, Marie realised that this was the wrong thing to do, so was wise to give him back. And I’m glad Billy was understanding when she told him the truth, and all that’s left to say is well done Rita Simons for taking on this brilliant role. I can’t wait to see what you get up to next. Cleo meanwhile reassured sienna that she’s the one she wants after sienna told her I if she’s much prefer Dodger. Despite the baby being healthy, she son started to hemorrhage, but whilst she recovered from surgery, Cleo questioning if her baby is hers was the start of a new storyline after seeing spoilers. And after cell told him about the feeling abusers give you after going through it herself, Dodger finally managed to open up to one of his colleagues about what happened with him and Griff, with the forensic examination hoping that it’ll be enough evidence. But with Sully coming in as a detective, things are about to get more tricky. And Clare finally met her match and was finally arrested, revealing that she was the one that shot tony. But with Gemma LAST NAME making her exit, stating that there’s no ruling out of a return, Froggy had better watch out.
Eastenders:
This week saw the truth coming out, one couple taking a big step & a delve into the past leading to a stalking storyline. Mondays episode saw Vicki back from her travels, with Sharon and Kathy still away, which I assume is because Ross is still about. But she then tells Ian that Sharon has gone to see Jada in the hope to get some DNA to help Zoe find her son. Zoe meanwhile is trying to find the car that got stuck in the pip from the previous episode, all while Kat confided her troubles in Alfie after the revelation that Dennis wasn’t the father of Zoe’s son. But Alfie should be awarded a medal for his words of wisdom, stating that Zoe is an adult, and that she must suffer the consequences of her actions on her own. And after a positive start to the pub quiz, where Ian questioned Oscar on Louis going vegetarian and having a chat with the Carter clan on their table for the quiz, Kat revealing the truth to Vicki will no doubt cause so much drama. Elsewhere, George is abit on edge after not hearing from Kojo (who I’ll get onto in a moment) and Gina still in hospital, looking like he can’t move past what Nigel did. But Julie reminding him of Nigel’s court date, and a chat about the perks and setbacks of family, they were soon on the hunt for him, where he actually went it the hospital to see Gina. Sit was great that she forgave him, but also upsetting about how he can’t go to India due to being a flight risk, but made Julie promise that when he forgets her completely, she’ll go. And Kojo is still under the influence of okie, with the excuse of going to the shop not helping. I just hope he’s going to message someone soon for help. Tuesdays episode saw the follow on of Kats revelation to Vicki, and as you can imagine, she was not best pleased, along with Alfie having to cancel the pub quiz. And with Sharon definitely not coming back to the street, something tells me that Vicki is up to something after opening about how she shouldn’t used her voice louder for Joel, even though the situations were completely different. Kat meanwhile reassured Bert and Ernie that there will be no more shouting, but giving Zoe an ultimatum was the last straw, with Mo not being best pleased about it. But an even bigger question is who broke the picture of Kat and Zoe with blood all over it? Oscar was also concerned after Jasmine was hurting from her injuries, and her tactic to intoxicate him with alcohol was her way of keeping the truth. With some advice from Lauren about the situation and not having success, he and Elaine team up to figure out what’s going on after Jasmine mentioned about paying cash in hand. Elsewhere, eve and Suki we’re prepping for the arrival of some foster parents, but not before Ravi and co managed to come back. That along with vinnie coming in mid meeting, annoyed at her for not coming to the quiz with her. But somehow despite not liking the families ways of parenting a child, they decided to contact the agency and give things a proper go. And whilst George insisted to Elaine that he needs to give Kojo his space, Okie lying to Harry will no doubt only make things worse before it gets better. Wednesdays episode saw Alfie getting things ready for a Halloween party at the Vic, only to have a powerful taking place. With Ross making it clear that there’s nothing he can do, Alfie resorted to a classic movie night. But there was drama ahead when Jean refuses to let go of her grudge for Zoe, and Anthony offering his services to let her stay at his got declined after she suspected him of getting her into bed. A family meal which involved fish and chips still didn’t resolve things, with jean refusing to let go of her grudge (which is quite frankly starting to get on my nerves), but at least Kat id wanting to build bridges, which I guess is a start. But during the movie night itself, Vicki made it clear she didn’t want trouble. But a video showing Zoe and Kat's past caused a downward spiral, and Anthony is definitely looking abit suspicious when he’s defending Zoe. Hmmm. Meanwhile, Suki and eve prep for the meeting with the social worker, but Priya and Avani's Roleplay was not helping. But thankfully eve reassured her that nerves are fine, and the meeting went well. But eve's fears of getting a reference from her mum was the next step, with Suki stating that they will get the reference sorted. And Oscars and Elaine’s digging into Jasmine backfired when she caught them in the act. But she thankfully forgave Oscar and got a place to stay at Peter and Lauren’s whilst they’re on their honeymoon. But after stating the spare room after going to the toilet at theirs makes her even more suspicious. Finally, Thursdays episode saw the continuation of the video, with Zoe convinced that someone is out to get her, accusing Anthony in the process. Whilst he was convinced that she was having a psychotic breakdown, a video they watched brought up the past, with Tommy finding out who his uncle Harry really was. Kat then reassured him that he’s nothing like Harry after everything that happened with him hitting her and his friendship with Joel, but at least Alfie is glad she’s managed to open up, initially thinking that it wasn’t a good idea. But another trauma Zoe experienced whilst trying to find her cat led to blood on her hands (literally) so I do wonder who is behind all of it? Meanwhile, lily was working on coursework she had to catch up on, only for Charli to get ill and Jean making lily panic. Thankfully Anthony came to the rescue, stating that Charli only had a high temperature, but was right to get checked out. I understand Lilys frustration when she berated Jean for overreacting and also not let her see her, but soon slowly forgave her when looking through a scrapbook. But jeans past where Stacey looked after her during her bipolar flare ups made lily see why she wanted to do what she did with Charli. And after being being called “jumpy Jean” linking to what uncle Harry said, opening up about the past, little does she know of what Kat and Zoe went through. So I hope she doesn’t go and do anything stupid (as lily could sense that she is not in the right frame of mind, regardless of her opinion on Zoe).
We Might Regret This:
This week I started a new comedy which was on BBC iPlayer for a while, but I heard good things about it on a previous act on this podcast. I certainly wasn’t expecting the beginning to get steamy, with Freya’s carer Ty interrupted feud sexy moment with partner Abe, followed by asking them about how it functions. It soon came to a halt when Freya’s friend Jo came, but Abe had his reservations, whilst encouraging Freya to do well at her interview: before the interview, Jo and Freya caught up whilst gossiping about Tys efficiency whilst Abe visits his ex Jane, who wants a divorce, with his son Levi mocking him about his relationship with Freya. Joe and Freya then set off for the interview, stating why she wants the job and the two Olivia’s like her look, with Jo coming into the interview. After Ty found out that Jo caused Freya’s accident, followed by Jo having to help Freya’s toilet situation, she revealed she got the job. Before they went out to celebrate, Jo wondered upstairs and suspected a plan from Abe, whilst she helped Freya fire Ty. Whilst at the party, Jo meets Levi in a steamy moment, and also met Abes ex wife Jane. There was then tension brewing between abe and Jo, talking about Freya’s happiness and reporting to her on Abes proposal plan whilst getting high. After asking Jo why she returned after a year, a fire alarm going off blew Abes plan out of the water, and prompted Jo to take the job of the career. Episode 2 saw Freya teasing Abe on her love of seafood, with Jos interference annoying him in the process. We also saw carer teacher Susan teaching a class when Jo comes in late and student poppy (NYT member) shows her how it’s done. This led to Jo being put through her paces, whilst also asking Susan boundaries when showing how to wash someone. Meanwhile, Ty was convinced m that Freya wants her back whilst Abe takes on a case for a family he knew, but not before visiting Jane and Levi to get what he wants for it, also revealing that Freya has got a job for a campaign. Whilst at the shoot, Freya felt the pressure when she got informed about modelling golf, but soon settled in with Jo coming back, using a different tactic to get the shots needed when Frey started to get abit uncomfortable, whilst she got an unknown number. Meanwhile, Abe met old friend Brian and remembering important dates whilst talking about his bankruptcy, situation ending with giving Levi a good truck Brian was selling, to help with his investment in his passion for food. Jo then found out that Levi phoned her, with Freya reminding Jo she needs to be with her 24/7. The next day, the two Olivia’s told Freya of her success with Ty being on the shoot, with her questioning on the edits but still accepting the job anyway.
The Hack:
This week I started a new show that was based on two true stories. It all started with journalist Nick Davies opening the show with his views on what makes a good story and why. The year 2008 saw Nick Davies on a bbc radio 4 interview on why his view on journalism is sloppy and why it’s linking to the hacking cases. This then led to John mulin and Stuart kuttner stating their views and also his allegations of Nick, where things did escalate quickly. Nicks boss and friend Alan wanted him to do a story on Sadiq Khan whilst Nick wanting to expand his horizon. All that changed when he got a call on Stuart making a mistake, where during the 4th walk, he was talking about a case in 2006 linking to Glenn Mulcaire. I quite liked the multiple guesses on who Mr Apollo was, but it turned out to be a pseudynom for Nick's source of information, telling nick the extent of it and how it works, which was scarily easier than expected. He then mentioned Gordon Taylor and Simon Hughes, stating that Mr Apollo can confirm things, but Nick made it clear he was not interested, but then reconsidered after thinking about Andy Coulson and stopping him. During the 4th walk, he explained who Andy Coulson was from 2003-2007 and his involvement of “news of the world”. Afterwards, Nicks wife Jane stated her worry on his son, insuring her he wants to help. After Nick reported his source back to Alan, asking what to do next, Nick told his son a telling the story of a bully, with “beans” (his code word for his son) stating how he listened to him on the radio after denying that he was being bullied. Later on, Nick asked about Scotland Yard from multiple people but got the number from Elle MacPherson and Max Clifford, but nothing came of it. He then met “buzz aldrin” and trying to help, revealing one of them to be Gordon Taylor, with Charlotte Harris, his solicitor, not being able to reach to him, talking about the news operation, with her stating that there’s more to come. This then led to Nick telling Mr Apollo he’s interested in the case, with the financial situation taking place, and told Nick to be careful after he got evidence of what Glenn mulcaire did, asking for mr Apollo to come in. Nick then talked more about the case to help with his story which was shown to Alan with the evidence but not sure to publish it, but 9th July 2009 saw it posted, explaining the story about John Prescott and Fleet Street ignoring the story, with a statement being made from assistant commissioner John Prescott himself about the story. Soon afterwards, Alan stated he needed a statement from Mr Apollo himself asking if it was a set up, but sadly Nick couldn’t provide him with it. We then saw a flashback, seeing nicks horrific childhood and how he got into journalism. In the present, he got a reply from Alan all whilst “beans” got caught in the crossfire after taking on board his advice. After Alan hears about the guardians reputation, Nick mentioned to Sheridan on how he didn’t want beans to actually hit someone, and seeing an article bringing back memories of his mum got too much for him. But the tough stuff was yet to come, as Alan made it clear that unless he gets Mr Apollo, Nick has to read the statement otherwise the guardian is in trouble. Then a line which states “The best attainable version of the truth” prompted Nick to get the family’s help on something which Alan can’t know about. Alan stating what former editor Peter Preston told him before he took over, and how he liked Fleet Street, with Alan stating how Nick is doing great but still wants to keep the newspaper. It then ended in the courtroom with Nick still having things to say, despite not going with the statement. Episode 2 saw a separate story, but somehow it’s intertwined with nicks journey. It all started on 10th January 2012, where we saw Dave cook get arrested for misconduct. Rewind 10 years earlier, and we saw him fling into a case of Daniel Morgan from 1987, which Dave was unsure about due to the case being controversial, but some convincing made him take the job. This resulted in Dave recruiting a team and no one knowing about the covert operation, explaining the case and the likely suspects, which included one of their own and how his crime watch appearance will help. He then made an appearance on crime watch, stating how it’ll help, showing how the case being controversial and asked about if one of their own is fishy, with Dave admitting to a reward of £50k for those who have any cases, reassuring that the information is confidential. His wife jacqui liked what he did, but queried about the £50k. There was also a development about one of the bugs behind the boiler, but it revealed about a call where they wanted to “sort Dave out” and it also mentioned news of the world and Jacquis involvement in it. He later on got a call from Bruce about getting a strange call being flagged, also talking about jacquis former co presenter Jill Dando and asking about the officers per bug and surveillance team to his boss Lockhart. This resulted in Dave letting out his anger from panel, going behind Lockhart back whilst getting an update and informing his colleague Graham on how dangerous these people are, going to get those suspects with voice messages from each of them (which may have been their voices in real life). The Bugs proved to getting good evidence in the process, whilst Dave stepped up a gear and visited Liam fillery, asking about his brother Sid. But Dave could sense the extent of this crime, when he was getting followed by a van after noticing one the night before whilst reading a story to his daughter. Thankfully he avoided the car but remembering the number plate, with the name Bradley page, a photographer at news of the world owning the car, with colleague Dick mentioning about having an affair with his own wife (which is just obscure). This then got Dave meeting Nick, who’s trying to write a piece on tax avoidance, who asked about Alex Marunchak and asking about Jacqui whilst reminiscing about his training. But Dave m backed out, and his colleague Mari revealed to Dave that Lockhart is stepping back due to family issues, but convinced him to take command despite people getting annoyed with the situation. This then led to Keith sharpe getting interviewed, but doing it off tape revealing he didn’t do it but took a vechile to store it and mentioned that Daniel gurgled with an axe in his head. Soon after that, Graham told Dave on leads linking the vechile, but getting targeted with a gun (which soon turned int to be a camera), traumatising Jacqui, and Jodi got Dave revealing about their story, but a passing comment on Jill dando didn’t Theo things. Dave then met Cynthia Edmonds, revealing he came into contact with news of the world, and she went on to talk about Alex Marunchak, saying that the company themselves paid for his fees, and southern investigations investigated on his surveillance jobs. The Vian bug then reported that they may have a gun, convincing his team to go all in, prompting Graham doing a search premises on the suspects whilst arresting the suspects themselves, with all of them getting interviewed. Afterwards, Dave found Jacqui in a bad way whilst Graham got an update on child pornography on fillerys laptop. But sadly relevant to the case. But Dave getting a meeting with news of the world editor Rebekah was the last chance, asking about Alex Marunchak and getting her to cease all contract. He then got Cynthia Edmonds statement and how it’s impacted his family, with Dave suspecting her relationship with the commissioner after the meeting. Sadly it was no good, Robert told Dave that the evidence is insufficient evidence as they talked on tape around the crime, not actually about it. This resulted in closing the case, but you could see that dave wasn’t ready to give up eg. A transcript then showed that the Jonathan rees, did fillery, Glenn vain, Garry vian and Jimmy cook all denying their involvement in the murder of Daniel Morgan. But with 5 more episodes to go, it was only the start of the story.
Film Club:
This week I started another new drama in the form of Film Club after seeing lots of positive reviews on social media. It all started with a fire alarm, and Evie’s friend Noa calling jsr and updating them on film club, asking about his colleague Carla. This was then followed by Evie giving iz a tampon whilst Susan tells them to keep it down as review boyfriend Josh is in the house. We also got to see that evie may be in her 20s but she’s suffered a lot, as Susan and Izzie wondering about going to the shop whilst getting tricked by the local kids Callum and Ziggy say it all really. But things got interesting when Noa gets a job, not telling anyone out if anxiousness, along with explaining what film club is to his colleague after declining her offer for the pub. During this, Josh comforted Evie whilst mentioning to help Suz out whilst having film club, with Suz wonder what they get up to during the films. Whilst Noa and Evie set up film club, they talk about his ex getting pregnant and then revealing to Evie he’ll be moving away, with her hiding her unease when she states she’s happy for him. Neighbour Kamran came over and revealed about his nephew, also finding out about Bristol, discussing where it is. But things did get awkward when Susan tried to be all cool for him and gossiping to Izzie about Bristol, sparking a plan whilst Kamran chats about life whilst Noa is secretly feeling down about the job. And a gathering in the garden with Susan wanting to say something during a toast on change being good got too overwhelming for evie, especially when she mentions her potential and reading out the poem she wrote. Callum and Ziggy then showed their questioning on her whilst she was fantasising, with Kamran having to rush off. But there was a lovely moment when Noa stated that he will think of Evie when he goes, even if it is 191 miles apart, whilst Izzie told Susan about how maybe talking to Evie will help see things in a different light. Episode 2 saw a flashback showing film club 7 years earlier, showing the wizard of Oz and discussing where Dorothy’s home really is. Fast forward to the present, and Evie sets up film club in the garden, concerning Susan and Izzie talking about her friend and neighbour Steph about it. We then saw Noa talking to Evie about his taster day in Bristol and what he should wear for it, asking if it’s normal to feel homesick whilst Evie also discusses an item of clothing for Susan’s night out. We then saw a scene of a twister (like in the wizard of Oz) to resemble Evie trying to get a delivery but couldn’t sue to her agoraphobia. So she asked Izzie, asking why the whole gang is back together, whilst evie makes something for Noa whilst he tries to fit in at the taster day in Bristol. On the way to Evie’s old flat, we saw Izzie gossiping to Josh on the next few weeks whilst collecting Evie’s pedals from Flo, with her stating of her breakdown, whilst Evie telling Susan not to get awkward on a friend date. During the day after an awkward start where someone talks about squash, Noa meets fellow taster worker Tia, stating she doesn’t like big groups, which soon settles him in using film references. But a train delay and a dead phone causes problems for him. Susan then met Steph where she also soon settles in, whilst Kam, Dominic and Sammy arriving, asking to break one rule about film club. Josh having to step in for Noa did not go well on the team games and him tucking into Noas cake I could tell made her uncomfortable. Thankfully he made it just in time for the film, but a message from Tia did sense her unease, and we’re coming to the moment where they realise they have that spark they can’t deny. Meanwhile, Susan told Steph about how kids are life, whilst also finding out about her hanging out with Izzie but a comment on the tough times referred to Evie as an animal and getting Josh to pick her up, only for him to reveal that Izzie set it up in the first place. So for different reasons, they both didn’t have a great time with their activities.
Personal:
Exercise:
This week due to being poorly (which I’ll mention in the challenges section of this blog), exercise this week was tough. But I still managed to get through it, with me getting to the 10k mark in 13mins 33secs on the Monday and 13mins 30secs on the Saturday. That is definitely not my best, but I gave 100% into what I had and did it anyway, which for me is enough.
Cooking:
This week I went back to basics given that I had an acting job to go to, but I’m glad I did. As it was a suitable dish for someone who was abit under the weather (which I’ll explain more in the challenges section). And it was also really tasty, with my sister enjoying her dish as well.

Survey:
This week I only did one survey. As always as mentioned in previous blogs, 2% is better than 0%, and being ill definitely didn't help. But at least I can say that i did something rather than nothing.
Darts:
This week I only had 2 practice sessions, once again focusing on grouping. I'm quite proud of myself, and with the Grand Slam of Darts starting on 8th November, this definitely got me in the mood. I can't wait to develop my skills next week!
Halloween Celebrations:
It was that time of the year again where I celebrated the season in style. These included some more baking (where my second attempt at one thing went better), and my tradition of watching Tim Burtons Corpse Bride whilst having a domino’s. I’ll be doing a full blog on the season in the next few weeks, but all in all I would say that it was a Halloween well spent!
Strictly Come Dancing:
This week I finished the icons special. Even though I was initially shocked when Jimmy left despite doing a brilliant American Smooth, it got to the stage now where at this point anyone could leave. But he did a really good job in going tribute to the icon that is Prince. And La Voix did a fantastic performance to end the show, with it being much improvement to last week. It’s safe to say that it was truly an iconic episode. I also watched most of the Halloween special, and wow everyone stepped up their game. Ellie definitely kept her calm and composure before doing her brilliant tango, and I can see why Lewis is my Nans favourite, and how his couple’s choice got a 40. But my favourite had to be Karen’s Argentine tango to the Peaky blinders theme tune, putting her back in the running as the dark horse of the competition.

Gogglebox:
This week I watched more of the show where I watch people watch TV. And once again the telly critics got up to alot of crazy adventures. Giles showed Mary a “witches broom”, whilst Ellie queried Izzi about why she’s hasn't been invited to her and Toby’s Chinese plans. Pete talked to Sophie about a family photo with the in laws, Andrew and Alfie getting their dog a Halloween costume, and we saw Cheé cutting Andre’s eyebrows off, with Sarah finding it funny. Jane told Simon about how she slept for 3 hours (which is literally me to a tea), Jenny and Lee were bickering about the clocks, with Lee using a night club analogy that Jenny didn't really understand, and Pete mocked Sophie on her candle she got. They also watched more of some brilliant TV. “Michael McIntyres the wheel” saw a contestant answering a question on a cup of tea and how to make it, with the Goggleboxers having their own methods, and “The Great British Bake Off” saw the bakers do a technical challenge, with one not going well. “The Celebrity Traitors” also saw Cat and Alan betray Jonathan, but the Faithfuls were relieved that they finally got a traitor. “DIY SOS” showed Nick helping a family extend their home after losing their mother, and the BBC news stated how the clocks changing can affect sleep (and I was certainly one of those victims). Finally, “Love is blind” saw Edmond heartbroken when Kalybriah doesn’t want to marry him, and “Trigger Point” saw Lana help a man on a taxi who’s in danger.

Challenging Times & How I Got Through Them:
This week one of the main challenges was my time of the month again. This did affect my mood and my energy levels, and along with that I may be coming down with something (as a dry throat, achy muscles and something I call the “ill sweats” are a sign), I did struggle particularly with the exercise bike. But the way I saw it, I learnt to give 100% into what I had in that moment, which definitely helped. I was also coming down with a cold towards the end of the week, which did make me feel run down. But it’s moments like this where I need to look after myself and slow down, even if it meant not doing my stuff like rehearsals or refilming things do avoid overdoing anything.
What have I learnt this week? How you leave a place says everything about you. I know it's from the fictional show that is Coronation Street, but to a point she might be right! As the day I finally leave my day job to focus fully on my acting career would need to be ended on a good note!
See you soon for another blog. Until next time...
