Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. With it being a week off from my non acting job as I entered the 4th and final quarter of 2025, so much has still happened. These include filming some more content, going back to my film after some positive information came about a festival it was submitted for, and watching a film that was the sequel to a popular remake. As you can see below, it certainly made Margo tired lol! So without further ado, here is what I got up to from the week commencing 29th September 2025:

Professional:

Acting Class:

This week in my acting class we looked at a variety of things. These included AI, and the scary but impressive stuff it can do to help enhance my career if using it the right way. My teacher also talked about the next open house event, with one idea including making our own mini films which he said we’d focus on throughout the next few weeks, to then hopefully show on the day. He then talked about improv, and after looking at snippets from a previous improv show a couple of years ago, we mainly focused on The Harold, which is essentially a longer form of improv. Now I may have studied it before, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m an expert in it. And to sum it up, let’s just say that there are certain elements that I need working on!

Content Filming:

This week I filmed some content for my social media. As I’m posting this, I’m currently in the editing stage, but I’ve drafted my posts for them and by next week (if not the week after), they’ll be online. These include a comedy sketch about the types of people I see in my non acting job, my thoughts on an award show I watched a few weeks ago, and why perfection in autistic people can have negative implications. Keep an eye out on my social media (mainly Instagram @theautisticactress), where you can check out these videos.

Acting Jobs:

This week I applied for more acting jobs as always. I even got one for a performance in November. My next step now is to see if I can actually get there to perform it, and if I can if I can get someone to pick me up and if they can an hour before the event finishes. I’ll admit, the reason why is because of my non acting job, but in any scenario if I need to leave early for a job the next day, acting or not acting, I need to think about my body in the process. So hopefully I should give you all an update in the next weekly highlights on if I’ve managed to successfully get everything organised.

Other Skills:

Whilst I didn’t do much with regards to looking at some of my other skills other than some of the impressions for the next upcoming Open House Event, my teacher did reply back with what I’m wanting to do. Whilst I had an incline, I wanted to go with at least 2 if not 3 of the ideas to work on and develop. But it’s also ways good to have a few options so then if in the event I don’t do one of them, I at least have something to perform rather than nothing.

Film Festival Submission:

It’s been a while since I lasted went to my short film to send it to festivals (due to life outside of it, other acting jobs as well as my back injury back in May). But a few days ago from posting this I got a notification of a festival it’s been selected for with the name as stated below. Whether I can get there I don’t know but the fact that another festival recognised my project I worked really hard on was an achievement!

Act On This:

This week I caught up on another brilliant act on this session with casting director Amy Jackson. Life has definitely evolved since she was last on, especially that she is now a mother. But she still managed to give some words of wisdom, seeing trailers of shows she’s co-casted and what she looks for in actors reaching out to her. I also learnt depending on the show she’s working on how many people she sees for the day player role, and what Stephen Merchant is really like to work with. Overall a brilliant session, and I definitely need to watch We Might Regret This now, as after the reception it’s got, it sounds amazing!

Coronation Street:

This week I watched the show from 21st and 23rd September, with the 23rd directed by Dom Stephenson. Theo had a lot of making up to Todd following his agressive encounter in the last episode, but I’m not sure if I’m convinced about it. At court, Dee Dee uofatwd them that Todd can come in, but him being questioned resulted in Todd getting kicked out for lashing out. But somehow Theo got the result he wanted but Todd expecting him to be mad. I think that’s his way of gaslighting him. But the celebrations didn’t last long when Noah came in to tell them that Danielle is appealing, followed by with Danielle herself then revealing Noah is dead from a heart attack. Theo then  expressed his grief and snapping off of the wristband with encouragement from Todd. This then prompted Theo in wanting to help Danielle, asking Todd for advice. Todd then confided in Maria about Theo’s upset over Noah, but things may get more nasty when Theo overheard everything. Carla I think is getting abit of the green eyed monster, as Becky requesting a hand from Lisa to move some stuff resulted in her car broken down, which then gave Ryan a chance to ask Carla if she’s okay with it. During this though, Becky and Lisa had an honest chat about the past, revealing that Becky still has feelings for Lisa. Even though Lisa assures Carla that it’s all okay, something tells me it’s going to get alot more sticky. As Betsy refused to go to college, wanting ti spend time with Becky, but it didn’t last very long when her parental instincts got Betsy reminding her of the absence she’s had, with Carla making it clear of her presence in the most brutal way possible. Whilst Lisa agreed with Betsy, she decided to let her in, annoying Carla in the process. Fiz managed to update Tyrone on what’s been happening, and was also surprised when Evelyn decided to leave university claiming it’s not for her, when in fact it’s for Tyrone. But during Roy's birthday (where Mary gave everyone a brilliant description based off of their star signs), convinced her to go back to university. But Tyrone was more worried about Fiz, and he was right to do so. As the pressure soon started to show, opening up to Maria, who then reports to Cassie, reminding her that she doesn’t need to ask for help in situations like this. It seemed to have done the trick, with Fiz revealing that she didn’t ask because she didn’t want to think she couldn’t cope. It also impacted Kirk and Chesney, realising that it’ll take more than a Cornish pasty to help Fiz. It was also a delight to see Bernie coming home, with Asha bowing out of a family meal due to her experience at the hospital. This prompted her to asking about Asha, resulting in getting her to help out as a careers fair Ryan is organising, which she accepts. And after unwillingly accepting devs offer for lunch, Asha comes face to face with the lady who spat at her, reminding her of the day, confiding in Bernie about it. But it’s clear that Asha didn’t like Bernie sorting her out, bit good on her for making the decision to report her with Kit reassuring her she did the right thing. And dev came to an understanding whilst discussing the situation as a whole. Abi is also continuing to live a lie, especially about her whereabouts, but it didn’t take long for Tracy to tell Abi about what Carl did, which he then “reassured her of”. But Kevin then revealed that the text was about a follow up appointment for his cancer, where even though Jack couldn’t go to, it was a relief to know he’s still cancer free. But it didn’t take long until abit admitted that she wants a divorce, soon interrupted by Jack who said that Debbie had an emergency, when really it was a good news celebration. But Kevin was far from celebrating when he confronts Carl, who still denies his affair with abi, whilst keeping James a secret (who he had to turn him down later on). Soon the pair made a decision to keep things a secret for abit longer, but Kevin isn’t giving up to uncover the truth whilst confiding in Debbie. I also watched the show from 26th (also directed by Dom Stephenson, and 29th September. This saw Kevin and Abi still on edge following Abi's decision to break up with Kevin, with Kevin confiding in Tyrone about it, but at least he got some good news when Tyrone is going to go home soon, with Tyrone then opening up to Kevin on wanting to know who did it to him. But I do think Tracy was being genuine this time when she tells abit that Carla is bad news. But none the less she doesn’t listen, and wants to start a new life with him, but even though I would be wary if someone I loved is suffering from dementia, that’s not Carl's full excuse on why he doesn’t want to run away. You would think that they had a close call when Debbie spotted Abi in Carl's room, Abi was right to suggest they are bad people. As her birthday had friction despite a lovely present from jack, and Debbie finding Abi on the CCTV was enough to confront the pair. She knew that the dementia was not an excuse this time, and Carl eventually revealed the truth, leading to an intense argument and confronting Kevin, who bless him was being a proper grown up about it. Abi then made the suggestion to go public, which once again Carl bailed out of it, with him later telling Debbie on what their mum said which I think made him the way he is today. But one things for sure, Debbie is not going down without a fight. It’s also been a tough few days for Asha, and even Deb telling a story about her grandma didn’t perk her spirits up. Bernie also reported Dev on Naomi’s interview and even though Devs not shoot with it, it was sensible for him to leave it. But Bernie, thinking it’s not enough, cooks up a plan. And after Ryan refused to cancel the careers fair which Naomi was it, Bernie exposing her was the last straw for Asha, who understandably was not being happy about it, but Dev could see both sides to the story. But Naomi suing Bernie unless Asha cancels her complaint only caused more stress for Dev, with Asha dropping the case against Naomi, who then dropped the case against Bernie. But I know this is the start of Asha’s mental health going downhill, as after confiding in Nina about Naomi, a drink in the bistro saw Asha consuming her guilt in alcohol revealing she may want to quit, pushing Nina away in the process. After seeing spoilers, she still has a long way to go. Theo’s controlling behaviour is slowly progressing, with him telling Todd to lighten up for Millie’s and miles’ visit, and a comment on his eating habits was also something that is part of his behaviour but not always obvious. But Miles and Millie coming to the flat created an awkward atmosphere, and ending with Millie being frustrated and wanting to go home, followed by Theo m lashing out at Todd when he made a suggestion, but manipulated into staying with him when he suggested to go out. And for once, Christina also being suspicious about Theo was the only decent thing she said, as Theo wanting Todd to stay but ended up coming into the soup kitchen to help Billy and Mary was just another way to gain control. But Billy spotting him with Danielle was mainly an innocent observation. But it was obvious that Theo didn’t take it very well, lashing out at Billy and also using his injury as a way to control Todd again. It was a good job that Mary didn’t take Theo’s anger lightly bless her, but him then Theo manipulating Todd and arguing over Billy again was another straw. And after Todd said claimed that he is over sensitive, Theo guilty tripped Todd again when Billy asks them about going to the rovers. Classic coercive control. Elsewhere, it was quite funny to see Shona being disgusted by the PDA from Ollie and Dee Dee and Alya and Adam, but Ollie criticising Toyah caused Dee Dee to be suspicious.  But thankfully Alya and Adam were on her side, stating that she’s overthinking it following her ordeal with Joel, but a suspicious phone call Ollie got with a glimpse of Toyah got me intrigued. This then led to Ronnie convincing Dee Dee to give Ollie a chance, with Ollie wanting to go anyway with Laila after James couldn’t babysit her. And it turns out that Ollie is quite good with kids, as he opened up about his stepsister, with James joining following some afternoon delight with Carl, and being the big brother he is, he mad E it clear to Ollie not to mess her around. But I wonder how long that’ll last when Ollie’s true motives are revealed? Jenny is also trying to make an effort to tell George how she really feels. With her asking him out but he couldn’t due to work in the office. But Jenny stepping in to be a cleaner for George failed when Christina got in first. And whilst she convinced Glenda that she’s been friendzoned, she has a plan to change it, although it did have a few doubts from Rita and Jenny when she plans to rig it. But it may all change when George and Christina realised they met before after talking about two friends, but when George decided to help Jenny, who left earlier when Rita had a fall, whilst also revealing that she’s relieved to get out of it, I wonder if her being more upset was a way to real in George whilst Christina watching on?

Hollyoaks:

This week in the village revealed true culprits, secret meetings and one resident revealing a traumatic truth about their family relation. Mondays episode saw John Paul trying to convince liberty and Diane (who prepared to see Tony in court) that Jez was really the one that killed Bobby, but him drinking certainly didn’t help, even if he wasn’t drunk. But an encounter with Jez ended up with a bad head injury that’s potentially life threatening. Dodger and Cleo, who revealed that his feelings for her are genuine, seemed into the truth following Cleo’s admission last week. After a visit from Joel, after his flashback of the night Tommy was killed, the word of Jez was enough for dodger and Cleo to realise that there’s more to him than they thought. And Dodgers suspicions were right when they find John-Paul passed out, with a clue Dodger saw in Jez flowerbed prize summing it all up. And they weren’t the only one. Clare is also onto Jez to get her money back, and sometimes being the villain has its advantages, as a protective vest was enough to fool Jez and give her the money. There’s also tension in the Osborne household following Darren’s visit to the poker night, and there’s even more questions to answer when Darren and Frankie spot Charlie with Clare. Tuesdays episode saw Tony’s court case happening, with Jeremy and liberty coming in to show support. But when the news of John Paul getting attacked come to light, lib definitely started to cast her suspicions. And rightly so, as when Tony pleaded guilty, not wanting to put Mercedes through a trial, Dodger came just in time to reveal Jeremy’s true colours, wow that was suspenseful. But when threatening to take Tony’s life, I wonder what Mercedes will do? But there’s definitely drama outside of the court room. Clare leaving certainly broke a family, and even I was offended by some of the dogs she made to grace and Froggy. But her leaving is apparently the best thing for everyone, but not before she had one last job to do. After Charlie revealing that he needed to help Clare pay off her debt, Frankie, Dillon and Vicky (who is eager to find out what happened to Robbie), are each caught in the firing line. Finally, Wednesdays episode saw the dramatic conclusion, as Tony may have made a lucky escape, Jez on the other hand escaped from A&E and tried to escape. But Martha met a sad fate when Jeremy did quite possibly the worst thing he could do. Despite this, and with Jez still on the run, Sienna and Ste are safe, but I do wonder if the truth about Dodgers feelings for Cleo will be revealed? Outside of it, the three teens are still at the hands of Clare, playing a game of “Truth or Dare”, giving it proper Squid Game vibes. But Lucas going to Rex and Grace quake just in time, and after the teens escape (where Lucas told everyone to keep quiet after Dillon revealed it was him that shot banks), Rex decided to not be Mr nice guy. But going into next week, how will he take the news that he is actually Grace's son?

Eastenders:

This week in Walford revealed a surprise wedding, truths being revealed and a fresh start for one of them. Mondays episode saw Ravi's drug plot still going ahead, and Harry ignored his warning to let okie know if somethings not right. And okie was genuinely injured by it, as found by Kojo (who ignored Harry’s advice to go straight to work after he needed to go out), making a situation a million times worse, and straining his relationship with Gina in the process. Peter meanwhile is a man on a mission for his surprise wedding to Lauren, and for once Cindy had a point on if it’s something she really wants. And Lauren hanging out with penny whilst he wrote it out made her realise that she doesn’t need a wedding to make things official, so I dread to think her reaction when Peter pops the question. Stacey is also adamant that she wants to go to Brazil, but lily and jean have made their feelings known. It was only a chat with both eve and Zoe that made her realise that she can’t leave her family behind after promising to never leave them again. And Callum is worried sick about Jonno's funeral, with Kathy insisting Johnny to help seeing how close they are. Whilst Johnny is wanting to tell the truth, Elaine reminded him that he lied to avoid him getting hurt further, classing it as an act of love. Tuesdays episode saw the follow on from Peter asking Lauren to marry him, where despite saying yes, she quickly had doubts. But a pep talk from Stacey did the trick, and the vows went really well (shoutout to Daniel Copland for being a brilliant officiant). But things may get interesting when Max branning returns. Stacey herself is also feeling confused, as even though she said no to Brazil, Lily could sense that she’s not happy. And with Lacey Turner due to go on an extended break from the show, I wonder what Stacey will decide to do next? Harry is also finding himself out of his depths, calling Nicola, realising he does need her help after all. That seemed to have worked too, as Ravi lets him go, and reuniting with Gina in the process. But for Ravi himself, there’s more trouble on the horizon. And Johnny revealed the truth to Callum about what Jonno really said, and Elaine made Callum see that Johnny only did it because of his feelings for him. I’m glad they made up, but with the funeral soon, and a short return from Ben Mitchell himself, I think things may get slightly awkward. Wednesdays episode saw the tense follow on from max returning, and there were not a lot of people that were happy about it. Lauren was so careful to not only be hurt by him, but to also hurt Oscar, and the comment Max made about Lauren and Peter certainly didn’t help. Stacey was more surprised to see him, given their history. And I reckon something wouldn’t happened if Zoe didn’t interrupt, with her and lily stating that maybe going to Brazil will be the best thing for her mentally. With Stacey witnessing max and Zoe getting close, maybe that will confirm her decision of going. But elsewhere, harry and Gina officially became boyfriend and girlfriend and decide to go on a trip. But Okie decides to use this to advantage on poor Kojo, and something tells me this is not going to end well. And Ravi and Priya are on the rocks again, and o think Priya going out is pet of a sneaky plan she’s setting up. Finally, Thursdays episode followed on from Stacey witnessing Zoe and Max kiss. This then led into a classic EastEnders scrap in the Vic, with Kat convincing Zoe that max is not right for her. This then led to Stacey definitely going, knowing that she needs a fresh start now more than ever, and it was a good job Kat and Alfie had their approval. But Jean was less than impressed, following a tube breaking down and suffering a panic attack, but she was lucky that Priya happened to be with her when it happened. This then led to a heartfelt conversation between the two, with Priya revealing she only went out to make Ravi jealous, and Jean mentioning how she’s been selfish for the way she spoke to Stacey after reminiscing all the times she helped her. But the aftermath of Stacey’s departure will no doubt leave an affect on the slater clan. All I can say is good luck to Lacey turner in whatever she does during her extended break. At the wedding, Oscar I was still hoping that max would stay, but him chatting to Lauren and convincing her that she and Peter will not work out, claiming she’s like him, says it all, and maybe that’s just projecting his insecurities on his own daughter. All I do hope is that Oscar won’t break his curfew following Max's departure.

King and Conquerer:

This week I saw the final three episodes of the brilliant drama based on the battle of Hastings. Episode 6 “Damage” says it all really, as Harold made a plan to cover up the death of Edward following a warning from him. He also encouraged Edith to seek Tostig, not knowing his full circumstances. William was also notified of Edward and informing him of Harold’s plan, making it clear to the barons to stand United with each other, with Matilda wanting go support William and convincing him to let Harold worry about Edward. Meanwhile Harold making it clear to Edith that he needs tostigs support before seeing him, and Baldwin made an admission that Britannia can meet Williams in his own boundaries, with William in turn sharing his thoughts with Fitz it’s doubts. But when Morcar came to visit Harold, the plan to backup Edward's death seemed to have worked, Edith, Gunhild backing up his lie. But Morcar definitely showed his true colours, with him backing Harold in exchange for Northumbria and Margaret to marry Harold resulting in more tension on what they really want. This was then met with backlash from Gytha and Gunhild, asking if it’s worth rushing his and Edith’s marriage over this. Edith meanwhile, found out from Tostig about Judith’s death, whilst seeing his hatred for Harold and wondering what life is like without her. But Edith being the kind woman she is, gave him a pep talk and he made a move on her and revealed he always loved her, gave her a warning that Harold will betray her. And his rumour was right, as Harold went ahead with the marraige, whilst Morcar made it clear on what will happen to Margaret if she doesn’t do as she’s told. Matilda meanwhile, is starting to see her fathers true intentions whilst he picks stuff for an activity for Robert, and when William boosted the baron of Britannia, let’s just say that with Alain facing the disastrous consequences, he has a battle on his hands. So he wanted Normandy after William made a deal. Gunhild back in London confirmed Sweyns death whilst Edith confirming Judith’s dead, and also showing her fear of Harold’s idea of bringing Tostig home whilst she found out about the Margaret with and who really killed Sweyn, straining their relationship and putting their children in danger. And after Tostig was relieved if his duties, he is definitely on a mission. But she wasn’t the only one facing a strain in their relationship. Matilda revealed find truth to William about Harold’s plan and trying to make him see that Baldwin is not to be trusted, followed by her requesting him to give her power when he gets the ships needed from Brittany. And whilst Harold is the being honoured the next king of England, Tostig has started an invasion in Northumbria, which is what the scene at the beginning was. The penultimate episode “Cost of War” saw both the new king and duke refusing to give up. With Harold refusing to back down when advise to take a break, aiming to defeat William, and William decided to cut down rations, which for obvious reasons did not go down well. But there’s more drama when Matilda out that Harold being the successor was a lie, and I’m not surprised that Odo did a runner. Harold then confronted Morcar, who revealed that Tostig is an advisor of king Hardrada with Morcar then encouraging him to go out to him himself before things get messy. But Tostig being trained by Hardrada to attack Harold is another obstacle he’ll have to face, and the strain of Williams men is getting too much for them. This then led to a confrontation between Matilda and baron Richard,  Williams campaign revealing that Baldwin was behind all of it, and after reading the letters which were proof and finding out the truth with the other barons, she ordered Richard to tell the other barons of Baldwin a doubts for Williams sake. Meanwhile, Edith confided in Gunhild about leaving the country, with obstacles like Gytha in her way, but when she asked Gytha about Ireland, it seems to me that she was kind of encouraging her to go. Back on the battlefield. Harold questioned Hardrada's true intentions with Tostig, who had his shield destroyed whilst being given another one as a gift. But during both of their scenarios, both William and Harold lost people they needed the most. Williams losing Fitz after sacrificing himself to kill the baron of Britanny (where he informed the blacksmith who developed a close friendship with Fitz), and the battle of Wessex and Northumbria resulted in a gruesome death for Tostig (which was quite disgusting ). But they both have the biggest challenge of them all, with William yes having the barons ordered by Fitz to be by his side, but possibly saying goodbye to Matilda after he appoints her as ruler of Normandy and preparing for battle, whilst Harold saying goodbye to Tostig whilst noticing that William is close by. The final episode “The Hand of God”, was a brilliant finale. It all started with Harold requesting more horses and men whilst breaking the sad news to Tostig to Gytha. But Thane bending the truth, whilst Gytha made it clear she was not happy about it. Edith also made her feelings know when deciding to leave Harold for the safety of her children, making Harold see that he’s turning into a different person. William was willing to fight Harold, knowing how his mind works, and Matilda queried about the balance in Normandy. Gytha understandably was not happy with Harold about Tostig's safety and questioned his true intentions of the crown, which made him question everything, eventually revealing to Edith that he killed him but to be interrupted by Williams army coming. Harold then made the decision to go, despite Gunhild reminding him he doesn’t have the army yet. And William, whilst setting camp, asked Odo why he left Normandy and letting him know his true intentions of the crown. Baldwin also confronted Matilda about the letter about Williams return and persuaded her to sign the power over to him, followed by William being notified of Harold whilst Gunhild updates Edith on Harold and wanting his help before Morcar arrives. Odo’s making a proposition for Harold wasn’t enough, and the ladies confronted Morcar of his intentions for Harold, with Edith, with no problem at all, made it clear that he will die if he doesn’t help William. William meanwhile convinced Harold is waiting for something after news that he doesn’t want to fight, whilst Harold reassures thane of Morcar’s trust. Amongst all of this, Gytha told Edith of her admiration for her whilst warning her of not waiting too long to leave. Before they knew it, The battle of Hastings took place, with William discussing their tactics and Harold having no signs of Morcar. But when Morcar did arrive, all he did was watch from afar, with his gut instinct going wrong. Despite an injury, William battled on playing his part, whilst Harold witnessed Thanes getting killed. And the final face off resulted in Harold getting killed, therefore making William king of England, with Morcar watching on. But there was definitely lots happening outside of the battle. Edith was unable to leave under the kings warrant but Gytha assured her her that Morcar was coming (how wrong were they), and Matilda giving Baldwin nothing, making it clear that she believes in William. The aftermath of the battle saw Edith and Gunhild grieving for Harold with Gunhild revealing that some people will remain a loyal to him, and Matilda being informed of the victory. Edith confronts William whilst identifying Harold (which it was) and William ordering her to leave with her children, which they do, leaving William to officially becoming king of England.

Hostage:

This week I watched the finale of the Netflix thriller starring Surrane Jones. It started with a flashback, with Dalton making a decision an evacuation mission in Belize before she got elected as prime minister. In the present, she, Matheo, Anderson and Sylvie were sent to a safe house, still feeling traumatised by the recent events. Meanwhile Shagan was contacted by general Livingston, who revealed that Salton is alive and that Toussaint is dead, ordering him to leave the country, with Saskia being mad at Shagan for thinking otherwise. Dalton also assured Matheo that it’s not his fault that Toussaint is dead, and promised him that it will be stopped. She then had to witness Dan Olgivy on the news announcing a state of emergency, reporting back to Ayesha whilst Downing Street is being evacuated. She then convinced Sylvie and Anderson to go somewhere safe with Matheo, where thankfully he knew somewhere. This resulted in Dalton bringing Kofi coming back together with the team who showed the image of Shagan and his history which included a mission in Belize which then revealed a shocking discovery, which she found out that Livingston was behind it all after Kathy questioned him. Whilst Sylvie,  Anderson and Matheo made it to the house (with Alex asking Sylvie to distract Matheo), Saskia also found the house but hesitated on the plan Shagan set up. After begging begging the defence guard to let her in, Dalton ended up in a face off with Livingston until a slip of the tongue resulted in Dan having him arrested, with only one part of the job done. But it was not over yet, as Saskia and Shagan killed Daltons guards and holding Anderson, Matheo and Sylvie hostage. It was then that Ogilvy realised that Dalton should be the one to make a address after he updates her but is shocked when Shagan threatens to kill the three people at the safe house. During this traumatic ordeal, Matheo tried to convince Saskia to change her mind, but it didn’t help, resulting in her brainwashing Sylvie whilst Alex asks Shagan about his daughter, with Shagan realising the trick won’t work, followed by him asking if Anderson ever killed anyone. But the fight was really on as Sylvie made a run for it after revealing a 999 call whilst Saskia fought Matheo, who revealed he would still love her despite her job. I just hope that after this, both she and him can move on with their life. Thankfully, Dalton arrived just in time, and revealed she knew about Shagan, who then revealed that his daughter was never born as a result of his fiancé getting killed, which is the reason why he’s out for revenge on Dalton. But the final showdown resulted in Sylvie killing Shagan following the truth about grandad and her getting arrested. Three months later and I’m glad that Sylvie is out, with my guess being that what she did was out of Self defence. But I’m glad that Dalton, Anderson and Sylvie are slowly getting back to normality, with Dalton promising a change as her campaign as prime minister after recent events.

The Rumour:

This week I also watched the finale of the show based on the novel starring Rachel Shenton. This saw Joanna still thinking about Bea following her revelation in the previous episode, confiding in Michael about it but letting her know that Bea loves her and will tell Alfie bits of the truth at a time. Bea also confided in Liz, revealing she told her everything, and telling Liz they need to carry on as normal, which obviously makes her feel on edge. Whilst Joanna was getting flashbacks, Michael visited Bea, making it clear he’ll come for her if she hurts Joanna and Alfie. Things were also getting suspenseful when a camera revealing footage of the night Sonia died, and Stephen saying something whilst clearing Sonia’s house made him suspicious to Joanna, following the announcement that she’s leaving. I also got her frustration when she reveals that she still cares about her whilst Bea confided in Liz about moving away again, meaning it would involve erasing Liz’s career. But a call Bea received and forcing Liz to stay is only the first part. Kay updated Joanna on her health and having no idea on who did it and after struggling to find Rachel and Alfie in the hospital when Kay reveals that Rachel was visiting her mum Marie, Joanna found out that Marie was the mother of Robbie who Bea killed, and therefore Rachel’s sister. The search was then on for Alfie, updating Michael and asking the mums to find her, with Liz mentioning Bea getting a odd phone call. This then revealed Bea finding Rachel and Alfie in danger following a sedative that was installed in Alfie’s drink. But Fatima revealing rachels whereabouts may have helped Joanna, but it defintely upsetted Debbie. At the house, Rachel revealed that Marie was searching for who killed Robbie and why Rachel took a job as a prison guard, revealing she killed Sonia and ordering Bea to do as she says. Through it, Bea talked on camera on how she killed Robbie whilst Joanna tried to rescue Alfie, which saw an intense showdown between Rachel and Bea whilst Joanna conquered her fear of fire. The aftermath saw the mums being in shock with Rachel whilst Debbie is disowning Fatima and revealing she broke up with Stephen. Joanna and Michael are also moving away again to start a new life, whilst Alfie got a letter from Bea, revealing she’s still alive and started a new life with Liz. A brilliant way to end a thrilling series!

Mufasa: The Lion King

This week I managed to watch a film to end my week off of my non acting job. I’m putting this as both professional and personal as yes it’s my job as an actor to watch all the latest films and shows, it’s also good to have abit of self care. I absolutely loved it, the story, the villains song (which for some reason in the Lion King franchise was the best song out of them all), and rafiki gave some brilliant quotes throughout. Overall, it was definitely worth the watch, and keep an eye out for my review of it when I post about films I saw in 2025 and my honest thoughts on them.

Exercise:

Because I was off from my non acting job for most of the week, I had more time to exercise. These included an extra gym session, bringing the total of sessions to 4 this week, along with two bike rides. Whilst one of them I only did 10 minutes (but it felt good to get my body moving) the other bike session was once again an example of where my lowest moment became my best (which I’ll mention why in the challenges section in the blog). And somehow it seems to have worked yet again!

This week I cooked both a main and a dessert. Let’s just say it was abit chaotic in the kitchen, and let’s just say that if Gordon Ramsay was here, we would get abit of a telling off from him. But the important part was, everyone liked it, it was tasty and the traybake was also a smash hit.

Surveys:

This week I only did a small amount of surveys. I could've done more, given it was my week off of my non acting job, but a reminder from the past few weeks is that doing 2% is better than 0%. Next week it's a new week, so hopefully I can get that 2% into double figures.

Archery:

This week I attended two archery sessions. This one was the last outdoor session and an indoor session. It was definitely so different setting up and how it would go, but you know what? I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don’t know when I’ll be able to go again considering they were both during my week off, but at least I did something to help me de stress and get me out of the house.

Darts:

This week I had 2 practices, with some good results on the doubles and trebles but also some near misses. I could've practiced more, given it was my week off of my non acting job, but as with the surveys, that 2% is better than 0%. Fingers crossed that next week, like with the surveys, hopefully I can get that 2% into double figures.

Short Stories:

This week I continued one of my short stories. As I’m posting this, it’s coming together very nicely, and I’m over half way through the first draft. It was definitely what I needed as well, as not only is it letting my creative outlet work, but it’s a great way to go away from the world.

Strictly Come Dancing:

This week I watched the rest of the first proper live show. To say that Amber and Nikita only had two days to prepare the waltz, they did a pretty good job. But Karen and Carlos’ jive was the surprise of the night. It did leave me with my predictions of who would at least made the final go another way, but I quite liked it. And with the year that the women won the euros in both the football and rugby, I think it’ll be quite nice to see a triple threat in the ballroom.

I also watched the start of the second week where people would vote for their favourites. So far they've had a massive improvement from week 1. Ellie had me in tears with her Waltz with Vito, Harry's Quickstep with Karen and the song that came with it is the reason why I like that type of dance so much, and for some reason, Nikita had never looked more attractive in his Samba costume lol! I also admired Karen's openness about her back condition, which in turn affects how she dances, but Carlos is so supportive, helping her adapt where she can. And Vicky is definitely in the running to make it to the final, and her partnership with Kai during the Foxtrot was brilliant, and somehow it also made him that slightly more attractive lol. As I'm writing this, I knew the result would be who I think it would be, but at the same their professional partner gave a heartwarming speech on how just being back on the show is a privilege and gratitude in itself (and some of you might guess who that might be). But I can't wait to watch the rest to start the new week with full of energy.

Gogglebox:

This week the television critics got up to more exciting adventures. It was funny to see Alison asking Helena about the gender reveal, with Helena's current child Erwin stating the interesting name of his sister to be, and Lee had an interesting conversation with Jenny about his home insurance. Jake and Calum talked about romance, and I don’t blame Andrew and Alfie for not wanting to go to social events after the ones they’ve been to. I also relate to Cheé who was adamant that she was coming back to her parents house for her birthday, and Giles ruining the bath mat and seeing Mary’s reaction was hilarious. Finally, Pete and Sophie’s conversation about fake takeaways was interesting, and Ellie gave Izzi some proper self care tips. They also reacted to some of the most brilliant shows on tv. Harry’s cha cha cha in “strictly come dancing” had everyone joining in, along with feeling for Falak in “educating Yorkshire”, which was followed by praising Mr Burton for helping her. Everyone also stated fun facts about themselves whilst watching “Only Connect”, answering questions that gave me and them headaches, and “Below deck” saw guest Kelly going too far with her alcohol consumption. “Dragons den” saw Phil having a rocky start but shared deal with Stephen and Peter, and not all the Goggleboxers were too pleased about Sit Kier Starmer announcing an ID card on “ITV news”. Finally “The Girlfriend” saw the mum being so cautious of his son and his girlfriend, and BBC news showed all things rats and how to tackle the infestation.

Challenges & How I Overcame Them:

This week my dad finally got answers as to how to manage his chronic balance disorder, but it does mean me having to find alternatives ways to get to my non acting job. However when there’s a Will there’s a way, and somehow we’ve managed to find that way. I also got abit overwhelmed during one of my archery sessions therefore had to go out for abit. But the thing I remembered was that I needed to do what was best for me, and once I had a break, I was shooting at my best again. It’s moments like this where having a step back can really help. And last but not least, I was on my time of the month again, which as always is not nice. But yet again it seemed to work at my advantage, because as mentioned before, on the exercise bike, not only did I get to 10k in a quick time, I also got to 15k within my 20 minutes of being on there. So sometimes it really is about how in my lowest moments I can actually do really well at.

What have I learnt this week? In the words of Rafiki from Mufasa: The Lion King: "Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything".

See you soon for another blog. Until next time…
