Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. This addition saw me getting through my list of creatives to email, getting back in the kitchen as I make a classic dish, and finishing the sketch show based on the NBC hit in American. So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 11th May 2026:
Professional:
Emailing Creatives:
This week I finally managed to email and send off my check ins to casting directors, directors and other creatives. It was a lot I’ll tell you that, and I still have three more to email (which I need to alter due to it being on instagram), but I managed to get the main ones in. So all in all I’m glad I got what I wanted to say sent, meaning that I now have another three months to do other things and then write to them again in August.
Job Applying:
This week I continued to nudge my agent for jobs on spotlight, whilst also applying on Mandy. There were some I had to delete due to not having the time to get the requirements needed, and there were some which clashed with other commitments (which was a shame as it was good money). But I’m glad I managed to be up to date with the ones I did apply, so that going into next week I won’t be overwhelmed by the reminding jobs I need to apply for.
Content Posting:
This week I posted more content for my social media. These included a comedy monologue I was going to perform at an acting event, but didn’t, and a scene I did in my acting class, which turned out nicely. See the links below so you can watch the full videos, and make sure you give them a like and a comment!

Acting Class:
This week I had my acting class online, where we learnt about how to make a good story to hook an audience in. I’ll be honest, this was something I wasn’t expecting, and I had to use my improvisation skills to the test. But you know what? I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I definitely felt as though I was in my stretch zone, which is something I need to do more often.

Act On This Podcast:
This weeks podcast was the quarterly answers session, where Ross Grant and Producer Petch basically hold a BIG Q&A session (which I had to split into two parts so I don’t get overwhelmed). There was a lot to take in, which included Ross’ thoughts on American companies selling me courses, the “proper jobs” actors could have whilst they’re not acting, and a deep dive into an AI model that’s coming to the website. So overall it was a very intense but informative session.

Coronation Street:
This week I caught up on more drama set in the fictional street of Weatherfield. 4th saw Todd and co finding Theo dead and getting interviewed by Kit, with George letting him know another funeral company will take care of the body and reminded him to grieve. Todd soon revealed of his whereabouts on the night and asked about if Theo mentioned about taking his own life, with George losing his temper. Summer was then then saying her piece with Mary making a suggestion, which was followed by Sarah coming back from hospital, with Gary updating her about Theo, with Kit asking him about his whereabouts. Sarah was then checking in on Todd, with George offering to contact Millie and Miles about what’s happened, and a picture of the wedding photo got him confused on how he feels. Gary was then checking in on Todd with Eva wondering about him and everyone coming in. But they weren’t the only ones affected by this. Betsy woke up to find Carla and Lisa still there, who were concerned for her well-being, as I can imagine seeing a dead body is not the most pleasant thing to see. Kit was also checking in on Lisa, quickly going through the pathology report to sum up that this was turning into a murder investigation. But the question is, who killed him? Elsewhere, Ben found Debbie to reveal of Carl's accident, with Maggie being her usual self despite being in hospital, and Ben revealed that Will is not talking to anyone. Eva was also asking Toyah and Leanne about Will, following Maggie’s accident, with the sisters concerned about again. Will himself was still trying to contact Megan on a new phone, with Ben finding him and revealing to Eva about Megan’s abortion, but Ben himself soon berated Eva for taking things too far. At the Platts, Shona and David were talking about Jodie, with his confession getting interrupted by a call from Sarah, who was checking in one David and asked about Jodie. For the Websters, Ronnie was checking in on Debbie who was uninterested about Theo. She then paid a visit to see Carl, who couldn’t remember what happened and wondered if Kevin was right, with Debbie finding the necklace proving he still loves her. 5th saw Christina finding blood on George’s jumper, making her suspicious, and it was shortly followed by Lisa coming in to revealed that Theo’s death is a murder investigation. This saw Todd going through the night of their murder, whilst George found Christina sterilising Shuttleworths. George revealed the jumper was Theo’s from when they locked him in the bathroom and explained his whereabouts his whereabouts, with Christina then revealing about how Theo’s death is now a murder investigation with Lisa walking in at the wrong time. Whilst that was happening, Gary and Sarah were checking in on Todd, who found George getting arrested and having a guilty look. George was then getting interviewed whilst Todd gave an update, with something he said got him suspicious. Pretty soon Adam was updating Todd and Christina on George, suspecting her unease and wondered why they didn’t let him go. Meanwhile, Ben found Will with Melanie, thinking him going away is a good idea. But the co parents were soon getting into an argument about his well-being, and soon revealed about Megan with Eva telling them to talk it through sensibly. Speaking of the two, they were then talking about Megan herself, with Eva reminding Melanie of the reality of the situation and not to take it out on Ben. And after trying to call him, Ben came back to Eva to reveal she may have got through to Melanie, not knowing she went to see Maggie about the death of her husband, and begged her to convince Ben to get Will to come with her in order to keep her secret. At the Platts, David was reflecting on work whilst he and Shona talked about the hospital and Jodie, wanting to find her with David not so keen. Shona was then wondering if there was something missing, but David revealed what happened on the night Theo was killed, with Shona convinced that’s the reason why Jodie left. Pretty soon, Kit came to reveal some samples from Sarah’s bang to the head For the Websters, Ronnie was convinced that Carl is lying when Debbie got a message saying he wants to turn over a new leaf, soon getting suspicious of him, and Ronnie eventually revealed his whereabouts, which caused friction for him and Debbie. 6th saw George still in an cell following his arrest, with Kit wanting some more questions. Summer was soon finding out about George, not believing it but was wondering about what would happen and Christina wondering if George actually did it. He was then getting interviewed again, wondering if it was to trip him up, getting frustrated. In Victoria Gardens, Gary and Maria found Summer, claiming she’s upset about George, and Maria was Gary on who killed him got her suspicious, which was interrupted by a call from Jake. Eventually George came back and mentioned about a brouch, with a joke about it soon followed a call from Lisa, getting Christina to come in to get interviewed, soon asking for a solicitor. Summer was then visiting Gary to thank him and Maria, but was wanting to keep it between the three of them, with Gary deleting the footage. At the Platts, Shona was berating David for his admission, and soon admitted to the voicemail with Shona thinking it’s evidence to the police. The couple sweet then arguing about Jodie, little knowing she’s spying on them, and David showed Kit the voice note, asking more questions. Eventually David came back to the hospital to report back to Shona, with awkward tension happening, leading her to ring her sister again, but not knowing she’s actually in the precinct. For the Driscoll family, Maggie came home from hospital with everyone looking aftering her, but Melanie was quick to remind her of the deal. It resulted in Melanie coming round to dinner, soon suggesting Will could go to Scotland, and Maggie was soon declining her offer to keep quiet. Melanie herself was giving more tension whilst talking about Scotland, with Will finally losing his temper, and when Maggie and Melanie alone, she made it clear she needed 24 hours to tell Ben the truth. 7th saw Maria finding Gary in the builders yard, concerned for his well-being and making out it’s a VAT. At the salon, Asha was giving her view off the accident to Maria and mentioning Summer needing as much support as possible. But soon Gary visited Maria, who sensed something was up with him, reminding him she got her back. If then got Gary revealing he smashed Theo’s van but reassured her it’s completely fine. At the bistro, George and Todd were meeting him, but Lisa interrupted them to bring Gary into the station to get interviewed, grilling him about the text and CCTV. Soon Maria was waiting got him, with Sarah joining her to ask about his well-being, thinking it’s linked with the cost of living crisis, only for Lisa to come and ask Maria some questions. This resulted in Kit letting Gary go as Maria gave him a false alibi, claiming the two were having “private time” as Ben gave Todd and George free drinks. This got Todd opening up about how he really feels, whilst Sarah knew that Kit took Gary in, wondering why. Kit was quick to remind her he can’t spill because of his job, whilst Maria and Gary were relieved that they bought it but it left him wary about if they find out. And whilst Sally and Tim looking through photos, one of them had a suspicious figure. For the Barlow clan, Bertie was spending time with Ken, with Daniel getting a call about having time off and Tyrone telling him about Hope’s poem, with Ken reassuring Daniel he’s a great teach. At the school, Daniel suspected Hopes poem being AI, losing his temper when she made a comment. It then resulted in Daniel confronting Hope, and her teasing pushed him to breaking point. At the Rovers, Daniel was confiding in Ken about what happened, with Ken reassuring him about it in preparation for his meeting with Mrs Crawshaw. But I can only imagine his confidence knowing when Tyrone was confronting Daniel, banning her mom from contacting Hope. For the Platt clan, Shona was discussing Jodie again in the salon, with David making out they were playfully teasing each other when Maria was curious. Little did they know that Jodie was still in hiding, but was soon sneaking into the house, nearly getting caught by Shona and David, with the snack thinking it’s Lily’s. Shona was discussing the situation, where Jodie overheard David stating a plan. Meanwhile, Tim and Sally were chatting to Ben about Theo, making a joke about Maggie, who was interrupted by Melanie about the deadline for telling Ben about Will or reveal the truth. But Ben was wary of Maggie, who stated about Melanie’s offer but only for a few months to let the dust with Megan settle, which he considered. Finally, 8th saw George gathering Todd’s loved ones for the next steps of the case, with Sean making a joke of it. This got George suggesting for one person to be with him, with Todd overhearing things, getting the wrong end of the stick. Some time later at the Rovers once he calmed down, Todd was confiding in Sarah about how he feels after Theo’s death, agreeing with Sean to some degree, only for Danielle to come in. She soon came back to Todd’s house, who opened his heart out and acknowledged that even if he lost in a court trial, he would’ve been heard, revealing his behaviour. Things took a surprising turn when Danielle also revealed her relationship with Theo, with the tel reflecting and seeing a link between the two, with each of them offering support. It wasn’t good news for Kit as he revealed to Sarah that there was nothing else new Theo’s murder linking to the beginning, with Kit thinking Todd’s the obvious suspect: and Sean saving a hotpot for Todd may seem a gesture of kindness, for for Gary it got him curious. Soon Todd was confronting Gary about the agreement, with Gary getting aggressive and agreeing to cut contact, noticed by Kit. For the Platts, Shona was looking David’s wallet and making a joke about it, only for Jodie to come in and made out she was kidnapped. Jodie was then fabricating the story to get into her good books, mentioning David, who walking in to see Shona’s sister, also buying her story and how Sarah got injured. But David and Shona were once again having different views on if she should go to the police or not, and Kit was asking her questions about the night itself, with him and Sarah talking about it. For the Barlow clan, it was revealed that Daniel got suspended, with Ken wondering if the time off is something that’s best and suggested to go away, with Daniel saying otherwise knowing the kids will make fun of him. He then reported it to Adam, trying to make a joke, with Daniel not taking it well, and Bertie witnessing it made him angry (and rightly so). This got Adam and Ken worried about him, soon coming back with Bertie to reveal he’s going away to a B&B by the lakes, pleased for him. But little did they know that he’s actually hiding away in the flat. And for the Driscolls, Ben was wondering if Will would want to stay with Melanie for abit, which he agreed and allowed him to have one more night to pack. They were then having a drink to celebrate Will going to Scotland (with Susie being the protective sister she was which was entertaining), with Ben checking in to make sure it was a good idea, and Will confirming it. But something tells me that Ben isn’t taking it as well as he makes out to be, as Sean was asking him about Will going is the right idea, respecting his wishes linking to Dylan, but Ben lost his temper over it. It was shortly afterwards where after the safe was left open, Susie spotted someone take the money
Hollyoaks:
This week saw a wedding, a confession being made and a sad goodbye to an iconic resident. Mondays episode saw Frankie ready to be discharged, but not before Vicky lays into her about the boy she’s been speaking to, and urging her to tell the truth who she really is. With Frankie admitting she likes him, she promised her to tell him, but soon declined after seeing Caleb struggle with the wheelchair, breaking down in front of Jonah. Vicky soon met Caleb himself whilst helping him get a drink, but also kept quiet about what really happened, but revealed about her leaving early, which prompted Caleb to message her on why she left. And it looks like the Keane's won’t back down when Beth is invited to the wedding, and speaking of weddings, preparations were in full swing for the rehearsal dinner. But Leela could sense that Rex might have known about Ste and James, with Ste trying to make out he doesn’t know. But it was about to come out sooner or later, as Diane was concerned about Ro bottling up his emotions again, and he then confided in Kathleen-Angel about his “friend”, offering him to go round to hers to relax. Although getting fired by Rex only made him spiral, drowning his sorrows in The Hutch, and Kathleen-Angel convinced him to stop. But it was too late, as whilst Darren (prompted by Frankie to go to the dinner) played some relaxing tunes, Ro turned up to reveal not only Ste’s infidelity, but also the amount of tickets Diane booked, realising she lied about how much time she has left. Tuesdays episode saw the fallout of Ro admitting to both Ste’s infidelity, and Diane lying about how much time she has left. Tony was understanding about why she kept it from the family, and he then soon reported it to Ro, who also discovered his feelings for Rex. But it was clearly all too much for Ro, and suggested not to say anything to Ant and Dee Dee because it’s a special day. Ste and Rex meanwhile had an honest chat about what happened, with Rex revealing he knew about it all, and wondered if getting married is the right idea. Soon he teamed up with Leela to make sure the wedding goes without a hitch, getting a suit that helped Rex present who he really was, and the wedding went off with no trouble. I think everyone was admired as well when Diane and Tony took the floor, knowing it was the last time they would dance together. I just hope they’ll be no more affairs between Ste and James, but after lying about Leah sending a message when in fact it was James, something tells me that marriage will get off to a bumpy start. And Leela could see how much Diane is really struggling, I know I’ll be needing tissues for that heartbreaking moment. Elsewhere, Charlie and Frankie were still feeling the pressure of keeping the secret of who caused the crash, whose the Keanes were trying to cheer up Caleb after his girl troubles, wondering if they’ll like him despite not being able to walk. But they soon took his mind off of things by sneaking to the wedding, and ended up bumping into the Osbornes. I know there’s going to be more drama happening when Caleb finds out who Frankie’s family are, which was not the time given the situation. Finally, Wednesdays episode saw a tearful goodbye, as Diane was reflecting on her life, but not before the Hutchinson’s decided to bring the party to Diane. There was abit of tension when Dee Dee spotted pictures of red on Ro’s phone, and made a comment which was the heat of the moment. Thankfully she understood, knowing she wants peace. The moment itself was hard to watch, but I just wanted to say a massive well done to Alex fletcher for entertaining the village for the past 16 years, and whatever you do next, I hope you have fun doing it! And if this storyline can save one woman’s life, then the show has done its job. But that’s not the only thing that happened. Following Caleb finding out that Frankie is an Osborne, it strained their relationship more than ever. Not only that, Charlie admitted everything to Darren after everything was too much, and Frankie begging hi to reconsider didn’t help. And Leela was quick to tell Beth to quit their feud after reminding them of Diane, which for Jonah thinking of coming Hollyoaks was a good idea after all?
Eastenders:
This week saw someone’s crimes being exposed, a naming ceremony being interrupted by a family member who everyone had strong opinions about, and a father and son being more strained than ever. Mondays episode saw Patrick returning home from Trinidad, feeling fully refreshed following Anthony’s trail. He even proved to Denise that he can talk about Anthony after recalling a memory from his childhood, and was willing to talk to Jasmine again. It’s understandable about how he states he can’t trust him yet, but it’s clearly had an affect on her. Meanwhile, whilst Kathy was being spoilt by Harvey on her birthday, Ian was thriving following the win from his campaign, with Linda not happy about how it was going about, not knowing about the kids he and Elaine had. Bit Honey was wondering about Bea moving out, and I can only imagine her and Billy’s unease when Bea reveals that she’s decided not to find a flat and was hoping to move in with Ian. That all changed when Ian saw an article about how Ian and Bea were branded as husband and wife, and soon finding out about how she deliberately tampered with the voting system, making the decision to break up with her. She soon twisted it when confiding in Honey, but it all changed when Ian found statements from the card Bea was using as Honey… elsewhere, Sam found Mark battered and bruised, begging him to seek help from Grant. But after opening up about what he first thought when he found out Grant was his dad, it didn’t seem like he wanted to do that. Grant himself was having a nice time with Linda in the Vic, gossiping about Max and Cindy moving in together, but there was tension in the air when Johnny walked in. Despite Grant reminding him of how he only has one mother following Nigel’s death, there was an awkward conversation when he asked about their relationship. And Nicola was trying to cover up her tracks when Bruce came round in preparation for Eddie’s stay. Harry was then quick to grill her when he walked in on the meeting, knowing that Gina wouldn’t approve it it. Soon enough George eventually found out, and recalled a memory that was actually a good one, admitting he wouldn’t want to see Eddie die alone. But he made his boundaries clear on where he stays and his involvement, and soon went along with Nicolas lie about her relationship with him. Tuesdays episode saw the follow on from Ian’s discovery, with Honey having a serious talk with Bea about why she’s committing what is essentially fraud. Bea made out it was because she wanted to repay the kindness, and soon Ian blurted it out to Linda and Kathy. And after talking with Ross and Harvey in the den, Billy was soon hot on his tail when he discovered Beas secret, making it clear he wanted her out. Honey was mad about Billy kicking her out for the wrong reasons, and after making a dark post following seeing Vicki and Ross being all lovey dovey, Beas actions to tamper the ladder landed Honey in danger. Elsewhere, Mark was convinced by Lauren to spend some time with Grant, hoping to make amends and to also help him with the debt he has. But a distraction from Linda went back to square one, with Sam figuring out of his possible feelings for Lauren. So she used a car analogy to warn him to be careful, and it didn’t take long for him to lash out at Lauren. It was only when Vicki came to make him see he needs help. The question is, will he? Meanwhile, the Ghanaian naming ceremony for Ivy took place, and I have to say, Kojo is a natural when it comes to looking after kids, even if Cindy did make a joke about his exes being there (with Gina reminding her they’re supporting Ivy). But it was interrupted by the presence of Eddie coming early, and let’s just say that the Knight-Mitchell clan had strong opinions about it. Despite George once again making his boundaries clear, Eddie tried to worm his way into Nicolas good books by getting her to have him spend as much time with George as possible, otherwise the deal would be off. And Oscar was being the brilliant boyfriend he was by cheering up Jasmine following what Patrick said. But he soon came to Josh’s rescue when a woman tried to take his bag. And his frustration grew when they saw the same lady in the Albert, where she explained why she tried to take the bag. Whilst Josh acknowledged that it was wrong, he still offered that little bit of kindness, which Oscar admired. Something tells me the love triangle between Oscar, Josh and Jasmine will reignite again… Wednesdays episode saw the aftermath of Honeys fall, where Ian immediately pointed the blame on Bea. Thankfully Honey only had a concussion with no immediate damage, and somehow they believed Beas alibi when Will admitted to seeing her at work. Honey then convinced him to apologise to her, wanting to draw a line under everything, soon doing just that, and somehow managed to worm her way through the lies. Bea then promised her to be by her side, but something tells me that she’ll stir up more drama. Meanwhile, Eddie was still having a big impact on the whole family, with George making it clear he still wants him in the basement. It also affected harry and Gina’s relationship, questioning him on why he never said anything to her first. It then got Harry convincing Nicola to make Eddie leave, with her revealing that letting Eddie stay is the only way to keep the money for both the bar and restaurant. She quickly used the lie about asbestos in the basement to keep Eddie around for longer, and soon made it clear there will be consequences if he blackmails her again, and it’s moments like this where you don’t want to mess with Nicola Mitchell. Meanwhile, Oscar and Jasmine were enjoying a lovely date in the cafe, and talking about Josh’s heroism. But they soon spotted the same lady Josh confronted, telling Harvey a different story about her life and exposing her as a fraud. But Oscar seemed to have liked it, a lot shall we say… and Mark is still in some Tory or money wise, and Grant was questioned about why he went to Phil for help rather than him, although he was convinced he didn’t need him. Sam and Phil mentioned otherwise, and he soon found out the extent of Marks problems. And after she and Ross were talking to Alfie and Kat about the wedding drinks, Vicki also shared her concerns for Mark. I’m starting to see why Phil told Grant not to get involved, and a secret linking to dealer known Russell Delaney’s past soon landing him in trouble, with Phil intervening. But it only led for the debt to be doubled, with Phil berating Grant for not staying out of it. Finally, Thursdays episode saw Honey still in hospital, with Billy telling Bea that she’ll need to have surgery after finding a decompression of the disc. But her attempts to get into Billys good books were soon sent her packing, leading her to stay in McClunkys. Mark was also facing the pressure, with Sam noticing and Lauren seeing him working on a car could also sense his stress, and after finding him earlier in the garage sparked out earlier, wanting him to work on the car for a customer to test drive. But a chat with Vicki in the cafe got her confronting him on what’s really going on, but he still denied everything, probably either too proud to ask for help, not wanting to get Lauren in danger or because he likes her. Sam then made a suggestion linking to his friend Sonny, fixing both his and Lauren’s problems. And Nicola was still facing the wrath of Eddie, who tried to work his way into his good books by asking her about her family after listening to a song from his memory. Nicola in return made it clear about her side of the family, wondering if it’s his way to cause trouble. And Cindy was one of the very few people to make George see how Eddie being present is affecting everyone. But not knowing that Nicola made a deal with him, I wonder what he’ll do next?
Small Prophets:
This week I watched the rest of the comedy set in the fictional world Marvin Gardens. The penultimate episode that was Episode 5 saw Michael having visions whilst Clive took the bins out, noticing something strange, and was soon asking Bev about Michael and Kacey. Clive was then reiterating about the BBQ coals, thinking it’s all a game, leading to him phoning the council, and was soon getting Bev on the job. After having a strange breakfast, Michael then got a call from Hilary about Brian, where he was overwhelmed by his mail, and mentioned a bird book someone was wanting to collect, with Michael offering to help out and got suspicious when he got a letter from a deceased friend. Back at Marvin Gardens, Bev was cleaning the coal whilst searching in Michael’s back garden, so potted by Eddie, and in a surprising turn of events at work, Brigham not teasing Michael this time. Michael then had an interesting question from a customer (which was amusing) and offered to find a solution, with Gordon catching him out, and Michael discovering he knew the customer, and made it clear that what he said was a threat with Michael correcting him about what he said. Eddie was then spotting people search Michael’s house, whilst Kacey meets Michael on her break, reading the letter and discovered a strange clue linking to how he died. Brigham was then chatting to them and was surprised to find out he wasn’t bothered, and showed how much he cared for him, which was surprising. Michael was then coming back to work, with Eddie signalling him on something whilst getting a call from Roy about coming to the house with Bea and Bob. Clive and as then coming round to ask about the hedge, with Michael asking about the bird book, followed by searching the house and finding something suspicious. It was then interrupted with Roy and Bea, claiming it’s the surveyor, finding a picture of Christmas in 1979. Things didn’t look good when Roy revealed the house would be on sale soon, with Michael revealing what’s on the boxes. After Roy noticed things happening behind the manure, Michael and Kacey were then setting the prophets free and spotting Bev and Clive, with Michael not being able to find them and ended up getting stuck and setting up a plan B. Clive was soon spying on them again, and they soon got them out and seeing how they’ve grown. It then got Michael testing if they were in the state of Divination, using a test question in the form of cards. It then ended Kacey asking a question linking to Brokeback Mountain, and a sports question with them watching the game as proof. And the final episode that is Episode 6 saw Michael having another vision of Clea, with Clive spying on him again, with Bev wondering if Clive doesn’t like him because he’s different, with Clive talking about how the Homunculi is “fish”. Michael was then going to the river with suspicion from the police, whilst Clive was sneaking into his back yard again, sneaking into the shed to spot the Homunculi, nearly getting caught by Kacey (who stayed in the shed for the night). After Clive made it out in time, Kacey takes a call from Michael which mysteriously ended. Kacey was then asking her question, which was linked with Neighbours followed by asking another question with numbers, whilst Clive contacting animal watch which my didn’t go well. Michael then came back to refill the jars, but noticed the Homunculi was not looking well, and Kacey lied about if she asked questions. Michael was adamant he’ll ask the questions about Clea tonight, with one of them trying to escape whilst the two got ready for work. Kacey also mentioned the phone call, which was from British Columbia in Canada, followed by Elliot noticing his top and hugging him (which was a lovely moment). Michael and Kacey were then going to work, whilst Roy was letting himself into the house. Gordon was soon asking Michael and Kacey about their whereabouts, with Brigham also being curious and asking for the bike, with Gordon not being able to fire him due to being short staffed. It was only then that Michael got another call from Hilary, frustrating Gordon, whilst Clive spots Roy and Bea. At the care home, Michael and Kacey were finding Brian in the garden with a bike he won, and introduced him to Kacey, who finds out there’s not enough time to wait for his question. Kacey was then urging Michael to go back to the house, whilst from the open university were mistaking Roy for Michael, mentioning an item. Soon afterwards Michael and Kacey coming back, with Kacey finding one of the prophets escaping and Michael finding out Roy’s intentions. The “ringing the police” trick to intimidate Roy didn’t exactly work, as Kacey ringing Michael about the prophets kind of scuppered things. Roy was also getting confused by the police with the “monkeys” after a call from Clive, with Michael and Kacey trying to catch one of them. The police then saw the surprise Michael made whilst Michael and Kacey resorted another plan to catch the Homunculus, which worked. The officers were then playing with the toys (which was humourous) whilst Michael was convinced it was over. But Kacey encouraged him to ask the question whilst Roy revealed of Michael’s whereabouts, but thankfully he got the answers that Clea is alive but won’t come back home but still loves him, soon coming out of the shed to find everyone. Michael then gave them the bird book, with people from The Open University getting what they wanted, then opening up to Kacey about how he felt he needs to go to Canada, with Kacey revealing her questions were asked and getting a voucher for the two to share, with the story clearly not over.
A Woman of Substance:
This week I watched the rest of the drama of the iconic business woman. Episode 6 saw 70s Emma in hospital arranging appointments, making out it’s a business trip and making Jerry realise she wants to be out of the hospital. Emma was then asking Jerry for calls from the family, reminding her of contacting Paula, who’s getting it on with Jim and made her feelings on her clear. Emma was then convincing Jerry to go home, who tries to convince her to slow down. We then went back to the past again, seeing young Emma’s grocers now open with Christmas stuff being on sale. David was assisting Emma with a product for Mrs Easton and what to go with it, with David getting her a hamper with a specific product for Edwina, offering Emma to close up which was followed by her inviting him and his family for Christmas, but he made his boundaries clear (clearly still having feelings for her). Back at Fairley Hall, Olivia spotted Adam in Adele’s room, who opens up about her, and Olivia interrupting a passionate moment to meet the guests which were Edwin and Priya. Gerald was clearly feeling like the odd one out, with Adam wanting a report, and Gerald was pointing out the newspaper and trying to cause trouble, only for Edwin to try and stop Gerald from his gambling addiction, where he soon found out about his extent since Adele died, wanting him to keep quiet and Edwin reluctantly helping him. Back in Armley, Emma was then coming home to Joe and Edwina, who found the stockings already hung
Emma putting Edwina to bed, updating joe on her sales, soon asking him about if she can buy the shops in her name. Emma was prepping Christmas stuff, whilst at Fairley Hall, Edwin finds Gerald who needed more time whilst Emma’s family opens the presents. Joe was soon wondering about her workload, which caused tension within her planning, and Christmas at Fairley hall was being set up, whilst Olivia recalls a memory of her and Adele, praised by Adam for her effort and feelings for her, proposing with Adele’s ring, reluctantly accepting. We then saw Gerald making his way to Armley whilst Emma continues the Christmas Day, with Joe spotting Emma going out, urging her to stop as it’s Christmas Day, when it was clearly a distraction. Edwin was soon getting a present from Priya which was a picture of Adele, recalling how her first Christmas workout her mother, and Edwin giving her chocolate (who was clearly not keen). The family were then having dinner to talk about their friends wives, with Adam revealing his and Olivia’s engagement, and Edwin was definitely feeling uncomfortable and Olivia was soon leaving due to having a “headache” when really it was because she was uncomfortable. In Armley, Gerald visiting Emma, giving her a letter and finding out her business, and how she is the one Gerald needs help with. But he stopped her and asked about Edwina, leading to a moment that was hard to watch, claiming it was a final deposit. This soon got Emma riled up and made a threat, correcting the contract whilst traumatised by what happened. Emma was then coming home to find Shane, but was surprised to see him with another woman called Laura, masking her unease and making a present for her. Shane was then checking in on Emma, soon asking about Laura which was interrupted by Joe when it came to presents, with Joe getting a car. Back at Fairley Hall, Priya was showing Olivia Edwin’s present, soon asking about what Adele would want, and Priya mentioned that grief will settle and also encouraged her to follow her heart. This then resulted in Olivia calling off the engagement, with Adam twisting her words linking to Adele’s death to reluctantly change her mind, which worked. Back in Armley, Joe was giving Emma the deeds to the shop, with her secretly being happy, followed by Emma and Shane talking about their marriages, reminding her that having a purpose can be lonely. They then changed the subject about Laura, with Emma also revealing to Shane she’s now the owner of Fairley Mill. After Emma gave a cheque to Joe, he then surprised her with Frank coming to visit, and the episode ended with Edwin confronting Gerald, who revealed Emma took the Mill and offered him to take her down whilst Emma was happy at Christmas with Frank and her family. The penultimate episode that was Episode 7 saw 70s Emma coming back to work, complimenting Jerry’s outfit and he then revealed about Paula taking over her meeting and seeing her leisure wear. Paula then went onto revealing thy the board knew they were ill, and also how her business will be taken from her, but complimenting Paulas idea, suddenly feeling ill again from what she heard. Emma was then ringing someone called Henry about going ahead with her meeting. The past saw Emma celebrating her youngest sons Kits birthday with Joe, Paula and Shane. But secretly, Emma was worried about the war and felt guilty for celebrating, revealing to Shane that she took out loans for the business with Joe not knowing, wanting a plan. Joe was secretly worried after spotting their connection, but was soon calling in everyone for a family photograph. And she was right to be worried as Emma and Joe found an article to reveal that war is happening, with Emma reporting to Shane her plan to win the contract, and not selling the shops, wanting to take the risk. She was soo questioning hum on her risk, but he was quick to offer his help with Joe seeing how hard she’s working. At Fairley Hall, Adam was acting like everything is normal since Edwin lost his house, but he then soon revealed he’s signing up for the war, with Adam making it clear of his dislike, knowing how it’ll affect the papers they own. Edwin then bravely revealed how he got Emma pregnant, their relationship and how she’s punishing him, but he ash more shocked in finding out that Adam already knew and thought it was infatuation, Edwin not changing his mind about signing up. Back in Armley, Emma gathered everyone to announce the closure of the shops during the war, with Joe finding out. It then got Joe questioning Emma’s intentions and their relationship, with mentioning that Shane trusts him. That was interrupted when Laura came in to reveal that Shane is signing up for the war, with Emma thinking he should take the risk to fight for their country. There was more tension in the air when Adam visited Emma in her shop, and then revealed that Edwin told him the truth and how he’s signing up, with him getting her to write a letter to him, which she declined. Her rage was about to boil even more when Adam revealed her mother Elizabeth worked for the house and the affair they asked, questioning him on why he didn’t help him. Emma then made it clear of how she felt when both her parents died and vowed revenge. We then Emma going back to the caves at the top of the world, and a clue gave her a realisation he was telling the truth, going back to her mothers grave to release all her anger. Soon Joe found Emma looking at papers (who was up all night), with her suggesting Joe would take the presentation, knowing they can trust him. But I can imagine her horror when he revealed he signed up for the war due to jealousy of Shane and wanting to protect the kids, not realising she needed him. Back at Fairley Hall, Olivia, Gerald and Edwin were talking about the war, with Priya trying to find the positivity, which didn’t work. Olivia then found Adam in Adele’s room, telling him regrets are pointless, with Adam soon mocking her about Adele. Joe was then telling Edwina about the war, followed by Emma finding him writing cards incase the worse happens, soon turning into passion incase it’s the last time they see each other. Meanwhile Priya was wanting Edwin to find peace, with him wondering if he deserves it and convinced him not to wait for him. Priya then went onto revealing she knew about the letters, which was the real reason why she had her dress altered. Soon the day came for the soldiers to leave their homes, with Adam watching Edwin leave for the war, making it just in time for him to say goodbye but not in the way Edwin wanted (but it was something I guess). Emma was also waving off Joe, who reminds her that she doesn’t necessarily love her but doesn’t regret being with her, whilst also saying goodbye to Shane and stating how she needs him, with Edwin getting a glimpse of her. Back at home, Emma found some letters, with Laura coming round to read a letter from Joe and Laura encouraged her to carry on. It was then that Emma offered Laura to stay until Shane and Joe come home, which she accepts and encouraged Emma to do the presentation. Back at Fairley Hall, Olivia found Adam wallowing, soon revealing about Emma and Edwin’s relationship, followed by Emma writing to joe, explaining how she didn’t realise what she had until she lost it and took them off the market taking the presentation, where she channeled her energy into doing it, which turned out well. Meanwhile, Priya mentioned the VAD to Olivia, reminding her of what she needs and how Adam doesn’t think of her needs, soon admitting that she overheard Adam talk to Adele the night she died when Olivia blamed herself. Things were about to get worse when despite Emma being successful, Adam came in which scuppered her chances. And what made it worse was that when Emma reported it back to Laura, she found a letter for emma to reveal that Joe died, breaking her heart. The episode ended with 70s Emma still on the phone, soon bringing in Paula and wanting no more secrets, requesting her to contact the family for her “birthday party” to confront them. The final episode that was Episode 8, saw 70s Emma coming back to her old home in Yorkshire admitting to Jerry it’s good to be home. She then arrived at Fairley Hall, overhearing their conversation and coming into the room to talk. The past saw Edwin bumping into Shane whilst coming home, recognising him. It was then that Edwin was recalling the war, coming home due to medical discharge whilst Shane was on leave to see Laura, who’s pregnant, and to also see Emma, grilling Edwin about his treatment of her, and soon revealed Joe’s death. Edwin then came home, shocked to see Adam in a state when he saw one of the rooms out of shape, reporting his concerns to Olivia, who revealed the house is up for sale for not paying the money for the uniform contract, with Edwin having to fix the problem. Edwin then revealed he wants to separate from Priya, only to find her pregnant. After Emma mentioned to Laura about possibly closing up for good, she was soon delighted to see Shane come home. Back at Fairley Hall, Gerald was mocking Edwin about Priya carrying his baby, but soon asking him about what he saw in the war, with Edwin reflecting on why he left and having a realisation. Edwin was then going to “the top of the world”, but reflected on his past relationship when he was unable to throw the ring away, soon wondering if Emma is also a solution rather than a problem. Back in Armley, Shane was recalling to Emma about how he saw Joe in France, with Emma revealing how she really felt when she got the telegram, confessing her feelings for him, feeling guilty at the same time. Shane was quick in assuring her, little knowing Laura overheard anything. In the shop, Emma was selling a customer, only for Edwin to come in, shocking her and making her think she broke her oath. Edwin was quick in sending her condolences for Joe, impressed by what she built and apologised for how he treated her and wanting to end the feud, soon asking for help with the contract for a partnership, not knowing it was a set up. Emma was then explaining to Shane about the deal and unsure of what to do, who was supportive whatever she does. Soon she was secretly going back to Fairley hall, reminding her old boss about coming for Saturday lunch and wondering if she could talk to Edwin. Her old boss was then congratulating her in his own way for her success, acknowledging that her father would be proud, which Emma was pleased about. But the mood soon changed when she also acknowledged that staff are people, eventually revealing that the partnership was a set up, enraging her even more. There was also more tension in the house when Olivia revealed she wants to leave him when the war is over following his lies with Adele, whilst Frank came to see Emma at “the top of the world”, updating her on the final exams. They had the mood lightened when Frank was making fun of her “thinking time” and recalling what their mum said about trusting her gut, with a golden fountain comment gave Emma an idea Encouraged by Shane and Laura, Emma confidently went back to Fairley Hall to havre lunch with the family. But she waswasting no time revealing Edwins true intentions, Adams interaction with Lord Acton and how she got the money from him, berating Adam for his treatment of her mother and her fathers death, berating Olivia taking the credit and Gerald’s horrific experience. To top it all off, Shane came in to reveal that Emma bought Fairley Hall, sending them packing and her old boss praising the staff. We then went back to the 70s, with Emma gathering her family to confront them about her betrayal they made, realising she doesn’t trust her. She then offered a choice to continue the rumours about her or give them £1 million cheques each in exchange to keep quiet with nothing in the will, leaving the businesses to Paula. This got Edwina wondering if its a trick, with Emma reminding her of the choice, soon revealing that Paula will own everything. Paula herself overheard Emma and Edwina revealing Edwin was her father, who was actually quite pleased, proving that a Fairley can’t be trusted Emma then revealed her secret to Jerry, whilst recalling her memory of her youth. The past briefly saw Emma and Shane walking hand in hand happy, with Edwin vowing revenge, and he was right, as back in the 70s, Paula confronted Emma about the feud, claiming she knew she would object. The biggest plot twist of them all was Jim surprising her to reveal he and Paula are married, claiming she was going to tell her, also revealed that she’s pregnant. If that wasn’t a strong ending to this brilliant show, I don’t know what was.
The Cage:
This week I watched the rest of the show set in Liverpool. The penultimate episode that is Episode 4 saw the pressure mounting on Matty, with Leanne trying to apologise whilst finding his keys which he threw, showing his upset. Matty, finding the money Gary tried to find, gave some to Leanne the rest going to The Swan Inn to spend his lot on his addiction with Leanne trying to call him whilst Ning does some spying, going in the police station to research Gary and finds a link with Michael. Ning then found Matty to confront him on the “car repairs”, who revealed about Gary and Leanne and how she betrayed him, with Ning bringing him back to hers to sober up. Meanwhile, Leanne was visiting her nanna in the hospital, reflecting on things and was pleased to see her remembering, despite some of her dementia still in place. She then got a call from Gary, trying to get back into her good books by apologising, wanting to meet in person, who reluctantly accepted. Meanwhile, Matty was settling in Ning's apartment, claiming his evidence was useless, where she revealed Gary’s true personality, with the offer to help her take it down being a good thing. Meanwhile shortly after his phone call to Leanne, fella coming in called NAME met Gary and co, who were watching “escape the country”, soon reminding Gary he needed to owe him money in two days, and Gary seemingly being okay with it. Soon afterwards Leanne was meeting Gary, who has a candle because of the “wiring not being finished”, but senses that he’s got alot on his mind, which soon turned into passion. Following that passionate moment, Leanne was partly joking about the house he promised, with Gary then suggesting Leanne and the family come to Tenerife with her after mentioning the facilities and making her have a dream. At first she declined the offer, but Gary revealed he’s scared to stay, reminding her of the house offer if she doesn’t like Tenerife, coming to a final decision to think about it. At Ning’s flat, Matty got a call from Gary to apologise, mentioning about a High Roller night and keeping Leanne’s name out of it , stating she’s worried about him. Gary was then wanting Matty to have just him to deal, burning the accounts and revealed to Ning what he said, soon kicking him out. Ning herself was going to work at the station, speaking to her boss Jane, who was concerned about her mental health. It turned out it all started following a breakdown she had 5 months prior to the series, and suggested help in order to keep her job. It looked as though that Ning wasn’t going to do that any time soon, reporting on the high roller night and wanting to catch Gary, with her boss reminding her she’s on sick and not to use the facilities in the station. At the casino, Leanne and Matty were pondering their thoughts, with Leanne’s colleague urging him to speak to her. They did just that and, after awkwardly mentioning peppermint tea, he mentioned about Gary and how he made her set him up, with Leanne denying it but having an incline of his personality. She then revealed her plan and how Gary has one, with Matty clapping back on his true job and soon revealed a high roller game with the two of them and suggesting it won’t be bad for business. Matty was shortly visiting Nancy who mentioned he needed to be perfect to deal, and with him having no choice Nancy offered to help him. The lesson was then taking place with Nancy giving tips which seemed to have worked (and actually trickier than I thought). Matty then accidentally let slip about Gary, with Nancy quickly thinking it’s a good idea and being reminded of her late husband, giving him the money he was promised. Leanne, Matty and Nancy were then getting ready the the event, only to find Gary, Alan, Neil and his fiancée with alot of money, ordering the two to sort the money and Leanne feeling betrayed. She was soon confronting Gary, realising slowly that Matty was right, convincing her that it’ll all be fine. Matty himself was then asking why Leanne is getting mixed up in it, where she revealed her plans to go away with him, begging her to make her see Gary is using her, with Leanne denying it. There was even more danger to come when Nancy arrived to find out what was really going on, with Matty adamant he didn’t know. She as then confronting her son, feeling betrayed by what they built, with Gary trying to convince her that what he does is the same after mentioning the past, soon roping her into it. The counting of the money was then happening happening whilst Matty got the door, which was Ning and convinced her to not to come in, with Gary soon finding out and losing his temper. And whilst Nancy was trying to step up, and with Leanne walking away, Ning was ringing Jane to beg her to call it in. I think everyone was also seeing Gary’s true colours after noticing Neil’s fiancée and losing his temper, with Alan and Neil stepping up to him and wanting paid, soon reaching breaking point. Michael, seeing how bad things are, made his escape whilst the police come in. It didn’t go unnoticed by Gary, and soon the police were coming in. The episode ended with Leanne and Matty making a getaway with some of the money. The final episode that was Episode 5 saw Leanne and Matty still on the run with £30k, with Ning catching Gary, who tried to work his way out by offering someone bigger and Leanne and Matty nearly got caught by the police, deciding to lie low. But before they continued, Leanne and Matty were going to his mums house to get some stuff, with his mum making a comment on his girlfriend (which was entertaining). There was more tension as Matty got a phone call from Paul about the drugs whilst they stopped at Leanne’s to get her stuff. I can only imagine his temper when leanne brought Thomas coming along, and was quick to suggesting Keswick (the place Paul instructed him to go to), with Thomas asking what’s going on, making out it’s the bailiffs. Matty was also adamant that Leanne’s nana was not coming, soon giving in when Leanne explains why it’s important, and Ning was trying to ring Matty herself, seeing Gary in a cell and refusing to move whilst Nancy was in a cell. Whilst Leanne’s nana was asking who Michael was, Leanne was worried to find Ruby gone, and a clue from her nana gave an incline as to where Ruby was which was the cemetery, soon finding her and asking why she played truant, in which she revealed was when everything broke down. After Matty got a text from Ning, he and Leanne’s family were on the way to Keswick. But the journey came to a halt due to a flat tire, resulting in waiting for repairs, but found a joke within the situation. Desperate knowing he needed to do an order, Matty was wanting to walk with Leanne, who blaming herself for messing the family up, with Matty reminding her they weren’t to know. Leanne was then apologising to Matty, declining Gary’s offer to Tenerife and the two talking about their dream life. It then got emotional when Leanne was talking about her deceased husband Chris and how Gary was a distraction, with everything that happened linking to Chris’ death, then apologising for not believing him about Gary, with Matty reassuring her the kids love her after blaming herself again, soon finding some humour out of it with Matty making a promise. As night fell, they see a vechile approaching them, only for it to be the police, fabricating the story as to why they’re in the middle of nowhere. Thomas thankfully took the money so they wouldn’t get into trouble, with the officer talking through his to change the tire, with Leanne making out it’s a holiday when asked. But she was about to face the ultimate betrayal when the officer found the drugs, making out it’s a Christmas present, but it was too late, exposing Matty’s drugs and the two of them getting arrested, going back to Liverpool. The two were then getting interviewed along with Gary and co, with everyone but Gary saying no comment. Fen Ning was soon grilling Gary, who revealed that he made her take the boy who died into a cell, with Gary flipping a question she asked him. Nancy was then getting interviewed, where she wasted no time exposing Gary’s true colours whilst Matty is requested to see Ning, and Leanne not talking to him following her getting bail. But Matty n was not able to get bail due to money and drugs, and Ning was berating him despite admitting he tried everything, with Gary also threatening him after he accused him of reporting in. But Gary was then shocked when after going through the bail conditions, found out that Nancy was the one to report him after she was named as a witness. 6 months later saw Matty still in prison, and his inmate Mo offered to call his daughter on a burner phone, but with no success. We also saw the wake of Leanne’s nana happening, where Nancy came to show her support, much to her shock to let her know she’s on her side and praising Thomas for being the good son he is. Nancy then revealed the casino missed them, apologising about Gary and being reminded of Gary’s upbringing, with Leanne reassuring her that it’s not their fault. Gary then suddenly turned up to send his condolences, with Leanne revealing her nana was in a home but was happy, and avoiding Nancy because of hating him. Gary then revealed they had nothing on them, but thought the police took some of the money not knowing it was Leanne and Matty. And good on Leanne for making it clear she doesn’t want him again after seeing his true colours. Before he left, she then revealed she’s in court in a fortnight, with Thomas checking in and Gary giving his details anyway. Before the trial commenced, Matty and Leanne were speaking to their solicitors about pleading not guilty, which was tough on them and Leanne was adamant she can’t be in a cell. The trial taking place with Thomas, Ruby and Kel showing support for leanne, and Emily showing support for him despite being strained, and Leanne made it clear on not talking to him. The prosecution were giving their statement, with Paul making an appearance, and the solicitor advised Matty to change to a guilty plea for a reduced sentence, despite Matty promising Emily he was not guilty. And speaking of Emily, Thomas met her, asking about music and his thoughts on Matty, with Emily adamant she was there because her mum made her come. The closing statements were then taking place, and it led to Matty suddenly taking the fall to save Leanne, and whilst Matty was having his sentence, a letter written from his mum was read out, which revealed the death of his brother Daniel cases by by drowning, and how his addiction started from that moment and why he was scared of water, making everyone emotional. Sometime later, Emily was visiting Matty, who came with Leanne and got to talking about music, looking so much better. Before they went, Leanne revealed she got a place, with Matty happy for him, and Emily labelling Matty a hero, improving their relationship and secretly giving him something to listen to music, listening to it on Mo’s phone. A message from Emily before the music played, with Leanne and her family staying at Nancys. Ning was soon joining her family at the casino whilst Gary reflects for what he did, and the series ended with Leanne and Matty content with their lives.
Last On Laughing UK:
This week I started the second series of the show where comedians try not to laugh. Episode 1 saw Romesh telling dentist story, an ice breaker taking place, and David Mitchell’s joker was happening, which was entertaining. We then saw Romesh and Maisie doing a head to head with the topic of biggest regrets, and the first laugh of the series commenced. Episode 2 revealed that it was Bob Mortimer who was the first person to laugh, and the topic of the last meal was initiated by Alan. Bob and David were then arm wrestling to see who was the most “working class”, with Diane getting a yellow card for smiling without realising. Alan’s attempt at trying to get a laugh on helium failed, and Diane’s joker involved a story, which resulted in Gbemi getting a yellow card, along with Maisie getting one. Mel was then leading a yoga session, followed by doing her joker. There was also the vending machine, which linked to Alan’s “journey to coming out”, and it ended with the curtains opening and shocking the comedians.

Saturday Night Live UK:
This week I watched the final episode of the first season of the comedy sketch show inspired by the show originally created in America, with Ncuti Gatwa as the host with music from Holly Humberstone. The Cold Open invoked a “New Prime Minister”, and we had a “Birds of Praise” promotional video with a brilliant remake of “Come On Eileen”. “The Adventures of Thomas” literally saw a Thomas the tank engine parody, with the Fat Controller wondering why he was called that, and Louis Theroux was going to the travel lodge in “Looking Theroux The Mirror”, with the actual man himself making an appearance, followed by a Coal Miner video seeing the appearance of Mr Blobby. The final weekend Weekend Update (my favourite part) consisted of Wes Streeting & Angela Rayner, The Woman Who Can’t Be Ignored, Eurovision scoring and “advice” on the cost of living crisis, which saw Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert himself made a guest appearance. The final two sketches were Ncuti Gatwa being the “new James Bond”, and Two “girls” with their children ended up lost in a curse which was in the form of dance. So all in all a brilliant last episode before the second season begins in September.

Personal:
Exercise:
This week exercise wise was tough, as after getting run down over the weekend it took a while to get my body back to its usual self. But I still persevered, with a gym workout and yoga, and my usual two rounds of the exercise bike. These included getting to 10k at 14mins 20secs on the Monday, and 13mins 46secs on the Saturday. Whilst I didn’t get to the whole 15k on the Monday, I managed to do so on the Saturday despite going over the 20 minute mark. But the important part is I got it done, showing consistency in the process.
Cooking:
This weeks meal was lamb and aubergine noodles. This one was definitely a winner for me and the family, and despite missing out an ingredient it was delicious! And after not cooking for a few weeks, it was good to get back in the kitchen.
Survey:
This week I managed to do a few surveys. I could’ve done more I’ll admit, but the important part was I got to do it and kept up the consistency. Which is the most important thing I guess.
Darts:
This week I got my usual darts practice in. The scores this week included finishing on double 4 after 6 missed match darts and 1 bust score, and double 1 after 19 missed match darts and 8 bust scores. It’s moments like this where I realise how frustrating players must get when they just miss out on that finishing darts, and I was on the verge of giving up if I got to 10 bust scores. Bud that second session in particular taught me about consistency and perseverance, knowing that you will eventually get there. But along with the doubles to finish, I got some good scores as seen below, including my 98 which I’m very pleased about.
Premier League of Darts:
This week saw the tournament come to Birmingham. I only was able to watch two matches in total, but wow there was a lot to like, and I’m so glad that Mark Webster was back following his treatment for cancer. I was also glad that Luke Humphries finally got a nightly win on the big stage, and his win secured who would definitely be going into play offs week on 28th May (which is also my sisters birthday). I’m looking forward to next week and what the final week before London has to offer!
Britain’s Got Talent:
This week I watched the penultimate live semi-final of the iconic talent show, with Sam Ryder as a special guest with a spectacular performance of “Gethsemane” ahead of his West End debut in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. This one in particular was difficult and it’s safe to say that everyone did a brilliant job. You know when a piece is good, when it makes one of the judges cry, and the act that did get through I’m glad they did, as it was one of my predictions. With one live show to go, I have an idea on who I want the wildcard to be, because based off of that live show, I think it would be something special.

Gogglebox:
This week I watched another episode of the critics watching tv, with adventures of their own. Giles was showing Mary some vegetables, with his attempts to be funny frustrating her, but was entertaining, and Izzi was making a variety of crisp sandwiches. We also saw Georgia talking to Abbie about her boyfriend’s favourite present, which was linking to the summer. Anita was asking Teresa about football scores, only to lack interest, which was entertaining, and Jenny was speaking to Lee about her self care. Finally, Daniella revealed how she broke her her meal plan to Danielle following her night out, and Giles labelling out his steaks. They also saw some of the most iconic moments on TV. “Countdown” saw Simon’s friend take part, and “Scam Intercepters” saw a sky scam taking place. They also watched “David Attenborough’s 100 years on planet earth”, seeing a brilliant moment where he got the cards, with words from David himself got some of the Goggleboxers in tears. “ITV news” showed the aftermath of the election, and “Prisoner” saw a crime taking place. Finally, “First Dates” saw a mum and son on a date with different people, with the mum being honest of one of her incomes and he still said yes, and the “BBC News” revealed Kier Starmer’s statement.

Challenges I Faced & How I Overcame Them:
I guess you could say I’ve had a few hurdles this week. One of them was coming on my time of the month. Yes it’s bad like it always is, but I was also glad about it, as one of the signs I have before I come on was mood swings. So hopefully now that I came on this week, my mood swings will regulate. Another challenge I faced this week was accidentally missing a few does of my epilepsy medication (three to be specific). Yes I was abit wary, but I was informed by the specialist ages ago that if I accidentally miss a dose, ignore it and carry on as it’s already in my system and that I don’t want to have an overdose (which I’m sure it won’t but me being a hypochondriac, I should follow their advice really). But I’m fixing this by having reminders on my phone to take them, so touch wood, it works for next week. I was also gutted about not going to my acting class in person, but I reminded myself that yes even though I went online, I still had my acting exercise for the week, so at least it was better than not going at all.
What Have I Learnt This Week? If you look professional you’ll feel professional. I know it was from a TV show which was The Cage, but in some ways it's also true.
See you soon for another blog. Until next time…
This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
