Hello world! Welcome back to another blog and my final weekly highlights before I take a break for December and the rest of the Christmas period. This week featured seeing my cousins baby, updating my Spotlight profile and continuing to rehearse for the Open House event this year. So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 24th November 2025:

Professional:

Acting Class:

This week I continued more work on material with now 4 weeks until the open house event. These included looking at a monologue which we did a few years ago, recreating a similar concept to celebrate 15 years of the workshop. And I loved the adapted version, and along with learning it for the performance, I’m definitely going to record it and upload it to my socials. We also did a quick improvisation game whilst going back to more monologues. Once again I did mine and the main feedback I got was to add in more business (doing stuff whilst performing). I can’t wait to see how I go with it, and with my teacher mentioning how the event might start properly later in the day I definitely feel a lot less pressure to get there on time, even if I do still have to go straight from my non acting job.

Spotlight Profile Update:

This week I made some tweaks to my Spotlight Profile. This was following the advice I got from a previous Act On This podcast, and even though I’ve still got a few adjustments to make, it’s a good start at least. I even took on board the device when it came to labelling clips, which made a lot of sense in the long run.

Content Making:

This week I continued editing some content which were mainly vlogs and YouTube shorts/social media shorts. As I’m writing this, I’ve posted my video of when I went to watch Here & Now, and also in the process of making my Surrender To It vlog. But given that I need to look at storage to edit it, it’s taking longer than expected to edit and upload. But I’m adamant that by Christmas it’ll be up on my YouTube channel, so keep an eye out for that!

Emailing Creatives:

This week I kept my document of people I’ve contacted up to date, and I’m on the right track. I even had a reply from one of them, which was very positive. Now all I need to do is email 2 creatives before Christmas and then along with a final email on the Open House event, that’ll be me done for the Christmas holidays!

Act On This:

This weeks Act On This podcast was with Coronation Street star Vicky Myers aka Lisa Swain. I can see why Ross put this one towards the end of the year, and it definitely got me empowered for 2026. And it was also great to have a lovely appearance from Director Jordan Hogg, who directed a big episode of the show and he gave some brilliant tips and tricks too.

Coronation Street:

This week I watched the show from 19th November. One moment was Theo making Todd breakfast, whilst also making remarks on his weight. And after Todd was chatting to Nina, Theo came in with Pete, whilst George was wondering on Todd. Pete and Theo then decided to have a clean slate and discussing work, and Summer was mad at Todd for forgetting their plans. In the rovers, Theo mentioned Todd’s plans and inviting him back to the flat even though Pete thought it was a joke, and Summer asked Billy about Todd and the discovery of quitting his job got them worried. Pete was then seen coming round with Todd having no choice but to accept. Despite his reservations not working, Theo claimed he “didn’t have a choice”, and was soon telling Todd to “charm him”. After he did just that, it made Theo angry, even though he told Todd to charm him. As after Pete left, Theo grilled him again and asked about his “performance” berating him on that scenario and also his portion sizes, going to the extreme on other stuff. Whilst that was happening, Billy was asking George and Christina about Todd, with George refusing to speak to him, not knowing how much he’s struggling. Elsewhere, David and Shona stopped at price slice and asked Gemma her food opinions, whilst asking her about Aled. The appointment then revealed a tumour, with the doctor informing Shona to have regular appointments, which it looks like it’s something she might do after she still refuses a termination. David and Shona were then reflecting in the bistro, but toyah, Bethany and Nick giving them a gift led to David revealing the truth, and upsetting Shona. We then saw David talking to Nick, with him suggesting to support Shona, and Toyah and Bethany giving advice based on their experience. We then saw David and Shona each apologising, ending with a lovely moment of their baby kicking, giving the hint that maybe they won’t go down the termination route. We also saw Abi grilling Carl after showing concerns on Alfie and asked if he’s happy, with Carl then suggesting some “alone time”. But their alone time was interrupted by Kevin, when Alfie fell ill again and got into a disagreement, resulting in Kevin applying for full custody, which then led to Abi wondering if Kevin was right about being a parent. Meanwhile, Ben got an update from Will and Mega,  with Christina mentioning her martial arts (which was a lie) and Will wanting to bunk off school. Gemma then encouraged Megan to let Will have some treats, followed by meeting Daniel who offered to help Megan out, making Will jealous. Will then did his running with Megan stating he’s only using Daniel to get closer to Will. After George and Christina talked about restaurants, Megan and Will returned with her giving him money and joining Daniel for a drink. And finally, Nina gave Roy a present and chatted to summer about Asha whilst also questioning Roy’s secrecy. And after Nina told summer to crack on with her essay, she then got onto asking Roy what’s really going on, which is revealed that he’s doing something to help those in prison. During a study break, Summer and Nina also found out about Roy’s job and Roy revealing why he went to the post office. I also watched the show from 21st November. In this we saw Theo offering Todd a peace offering whilst questioning his reference and his dreams, and it led to Theo emotionally abusing Todd about the treats and him “looking at other men”, suggesting a run, guilt tripping him in the process. Whilst he warm we up, he bumped into James, who mentioned different marathons, suggested to train and telling Todd not to come. And when Theo and James finished their run, he took a selfie to make Todd jealous, and it somehow worked as Todd noticed the picture and realising something in it, and Theo’s suggestion to run with Todd for him on edge. After Maggie got the wrong end of the stick when Ollie failed to tell a knock knock joke to Dee Dee, Theo and Todd came in the rovers and talked about the half marathon, but Todd was shocked about actually signing up. Elsewhere, Carla was spoiling Lisa with the help of Betsy and the plans for their day off, but Becky mentioning Lisa’s actual favourite flowers it threw Carla off. And it only got from bad to worse when Carla got a phone call from Sarah about a fraud incident, accusing Becky of making the report, but ended up getting arrested. We then saw Kit interviewing Carla and mentioned that PC Davies is busy, whilst Carla tells Kit about Becky’s possible intentions. Soon enough, Kit told Carla she can go after he saw Costello, but there was still no answer into the allegations. But Lisa then came to the station and found out that Carla left and revealed that the person who made the complaint was Eli Merton (who accused Sarah of harassment if I remember). After Carla got back in touch with Sarah about the fraud, she made her stance clear with Becky again, only to then out Eli made the complaint. We then saw Carla talking to Ryan about what happened, with Ryan suggesting Becky is taking advantage after Ryan talks about his experience, and covered it to Betsy, but Ryan tells her that Lisa loves her. Lisa meanwhile found Becky in the precinct and telling her to stop all of it, with Becky questioning Carla as a person. Lisa and Carla soon made up, but after seeing spoilers, I’m not ready for the heartbreak ahead. In other news on the street, Carl made a phone call and reassured Abi about Kevin’s custody battle, offering to take about out for dinner. Jack was also pushing Abi away, with Billy mentioning an inset day after she questioned why he wasn’t at school, and  Nina encouraged him to play nice with her. Kevin meanwhile was inviting billy and Dee Dee to a poker night with no success, and Ryan consoled Kevin about his situation with Abi, and invited him to the poker night that also had a success. Adam was also turning down Kevin’s poker night, and left further alone after Jack was going out. At the Rovers, Eva and Carl made a joke in the hospitality sector, with Eva berating Maggie for her way to get the customers. Abi was then wondering if Kevin was right after her disagreement with Jack and reassuring her of her love for Abi. Abi then apologised to Eva whilst Tracy mocks her again, and after mentioning to not giving up on Alfie, Tracy continuing to mock her led to a punch in the face, with Kevin witnessing it, barring Abi and Tracy and it led to Abi breaking down. She soon cleared the air with Tracy, and a the two ladies came back which led to a disagreement between Maggie and eva. After the factory gang were wondering on the drama, Abi confided in Tracy about the court case, who was then convincing Abi that it’s her kid. Tracy was soon coming round to Kevin’s, where he revealed he only said it to shock her, with Tracy telling him it’s the wrong way to do it, who then reported it back to Abi. Whilst abi was looking after Alfie, Carl makes a call from Germany stating that he’s flying solo. Something tells me that abi will regret she got with Carl once she finds out his plans. But throughout all of that, Maggie wanted to know who Tracy killed and took a liking to her. Meanwhile, Mary was talking to Ollie humourously whilst Brian praised Roy for his decision to send letters in prison and how his own experience helped him, which led to Brian telling the story of a pen pal. Roy was then asking Ed about making a library box for his idea which he accepts, and Summer was praising Roy for his work. But a slip of the tongue got Nina and Summer wanting to find out more, and after Ed got a free lunch for his work, Nina mentioned about Roy’s “lady friend” and with Brian adding on writing to the mother of one of the lads, they put 2 and 2 together. It then led Nina wondering why be never mentioned it to her. And Kirk randomly asked Ryan about setting up a podcast about dog training with Ollie told them one dog story, which was random but entertaining!

Hollyoaks:

This week saw one resident seeking help following a breakdown, one resident inviting their new partner to the family, and the start of a downward spiral for two residents for different reasons. This weeks episode saw Frankie opening up to Sully about her abuse from JJ, and even though she was joking about “sorting him out”, something tells me he’ll take it seriously. Elsewhere Mercedes is determined to tell the truth about shooting tony, but Warren only stopped her, explaining how it’ll impact the twins. So they decided to burn the clothes, hoping it’ll be enough, but Goldie clocks on and assumes something else, reporting it back to Gemma who then in turn tells Sully. And Sully has definitely got a hold of Donny and Dodger, and a comment Smithy made to Dodger certainly didn’t help. Misbah meanwhile is looking to forgive Donny, whilst Cleo is still continuing to struggle. Whilst Sophie and Sebastian visited her baby, Cleo is accepting Dodgers offer of running away with him, and Sienna overheard the conversation, which only caused Cleo to last out. But seeing her notebook may be the start to a long road of recovery ahead. Tuesdays episode saw Darren ask Frankie about her new date, and for obvious reasons he’s quite protective when he finds out it’s Sully. But soon he eventually convinced him to invite him over for dinner. And I’m glad Nancy is back, as not only will she help him with finding out more about Sully, but he was able to help him when everyone was starring at Darren following Tony’s shooting. And Mercedes was still on edge and avoiding Diane out of guilt. She had a lucky escape when Diane guessed it was querying about her liking Tony, but Gemma getting the gossip from Misbah about Mercedes is only going to get more suspense. Within the McQueen family, everyone sparked their concern for Cleo when her mental health reaches breaking point, with Sienna mentioning about it being post partumn psychosis after recalling her experience. And Ste begging Misbah to let him see James only increased it. After Sienna accused Dodger of taking advantage of Cleo, it became apparent that what Cleo heard was in her mind. But thankfully with some convincing, Cleo is finally getting the help she needs, but I can’t help and feel for Dodger still after his colleague makes another comment about him. Finally, Wednesdays episode saw the osbornes meet Frankie’s new Beau Sully. So far things were looking up, until Dodger coming round to inform them that JJ is dead soon turned the mood. And after seeing the winter trailer, I think I know who did it. Elsewhere, sienna was grilling Dodger about what Cleo said, but a visit to the hospital confirmed her suspicions, knowing that it was when Cleo was at her lowest. And it was nice of the McQueen to invite her for a drink afterwards, but she may have to get used to the drama, as earlier on, Warren was convinced that Goldie is the one behind the sinister messages. And after finding a burner phone, John Paul then confirmed it was a student phone he had to taken away. And Gemma giving Mercedes “Happy pills”, sue was soon joined by Ste, who was left horrified when he overheard Dillon talk to Frankie about the two of them. And after seeing the winter trailer, it looks like we’re going to see a relapse storyline happening.

Eastenders:

This week we saw one residents dangerous last come to light, one resident falling victim to a scam, and another who may be the real stalker in Zoe’s ordeal. Mondays episode saw Cindy being suspicious of Jasmine, and confiding them in Elaine, and Nigel telling them that Jasmine said something when he ran her over. With Lauren initially thinking that she’s a good influence, and that Cindy going through jasmines bag wasn’t the best idea, it soon changed when she told them about the break into the doctors, and how it could affect Oscar. It then led to Cindy and Lauren meeting jasmines mum, who revealed that she has abit of a dark side to her. But after Ian not believing her, Cindy goes to confront Jasmine herself, only to be pushed down the stairs by her. Oh dear… and whilst all that was happening, Lauren kept getting messages about a “miracle cure” for Jimmy. Peter reassured her that Jimmy is perfect, but I do understand why Lauren is thinking of the “What if?”. But that’s not all that’s happened on the street. Alfie and Kat had to keep the truth to Zoe about the earring, and telling Jean about her suspicions after claiming it last week only ended in an argument. And Vicki was in a state of struggle when she got handed back the clothes she wore when Joel attacked her. And I’m glad she had Kathy to talk to, who then proceeded to talk about her experience, so at least she has someone who will help her through it. And whilst Ross talked about his anniversary to Alfie, Vicki wondered why Chelsea is letting most men flirt with her. Chelsea then gave some good advice following her experience with her ex (and whilst I didn’t watch it, I do remember seeing it on social media), which seemed to have done the trick. I also liked how Vicki showed her the line dancing she used when she first met Ross, but the mood soon turned when she showed up. Something tells me he still has some making up to do. Tuesdays episode saw a follow on from what happened to Cindy, and rushed to tell the rest of the family whilst they all enjoyed their vegan dinners. Jasmine tried to spin the story and how it was an accident, but Oscar trying to convince the family wasn’t enough, and it soon led him to kick her out. But not before she saw Cindy first, who woke from the surgery. But outside of it, Kojo is working on Nigel’s script, and Anna and Gina are happy to see him smiling again. Anna then telling Freddie about her travelling plans prompted him to ask about going with her after Lauren talked about her experiences in New Zealand. Given that Bobby Brazier and Molly Rainford are leaving the show, let’s hope it is the happy ending that was stated on metro soaps. Elsewhere, Vicki gave Ross a chance after Chelsea told her to give him a break, and so far things seemed well. When Chelsea came in to check in on her, Vicki then talked about how her mum and Kat got abused by her dad, and how it was technically Ross’ idea to join her for a drink. But good on Chelsea for seeing him off, for now at least. And Kat and Alfie did everything they could to tell Zoe about jeans earrings, but it failed when jean came in and interrupted Zoe’s and Anthony’s drink. With Antony telling Zoe that she doesn’t need Kat and Alfie, I’m still abit suspicious about him, but Zoe was more bothered about Jean, even though Kat and Alfie think she’s telling the truth. Wednesdays episode saw Vicki telling Ross about why she didn’t want him round in the previous episode. And soon he heard from Zack about hitting a guy through self defence. But a drink at Harry’s barn (which was after Harvey questioned him on if it’s too soon) saw the pair take things nice and slow, with Chelsea stating that if ross is the one she wants, she has to go for it. But with feelings towards Zack pretty much still alive, something tells me it might get abit more complicated. Jean and Gina are also abit hesitant on Anna and Freddie going away. After Cindy encourages Anna to not cancel her trip following the secret about Jasmine, Gina is also showing her hatred towards it, with Cindy then stating that if it is a mistake, it’s one Anna has to make on her own. Jean is also showing signs of disappointment when Freddie told her about going away, where she broke Anna’s necklace, and blamed Zoe for it. I also hated how Jean once again blames Zoe for Freddie deciding to go away, despite Freddie making it clear he wants to do it. And speaking of Zoe, she’s still onto jean for thinking she’s out to get her, which started with 3am calls. But I think Anthony may be the one behind it after getting pictures of her on his laptop. And finally, Lauren was still debating over the experimental cure, with Cindy and Ian warning her on how it could be a scam. And despite Peter telling her he’s fine how he is, revealing some access needs to notify when dinner is happening, I also understood why Lauren was feeling the way she was feeling. But the pub quiz, where Ian and Elaine got into a heated debate on the lake districts, only pushed Lauren to make the decision to send the money after Ian caused the “dinner time signal” which resulted in Jimmy getting injured. Thankfully it was nothing serious, but I hated how Ian blamed Elaine for it. And Ian and Cindy's warnings on it being a scam we’re right when the number didn’t even exist now. Oh dear… Finally, Thursdays episode saw Elaine seeking Kim to help promote her boutique hotel. Now live-streaming it may have been the key, but Howie not turning the live button off caused her followers to overhear everything, including her bad mouthing others. Even her apology video didn’t help, and caused her to loose not only her followers but her sponsorships. Howie is now resorting to drastic measures to help keep the money together. And speaking of money, Lauren is also in a pickle when she tries to hide what she did. With the charity tagging her in the post, not going to the market with Peter, asking Anthony about the Doctor she sent the money to, and one charity member coming in, it was all getting too much for her. And after visiting Cindy for an update on Jasmine, Ian soon found out about what happened. I’m glad he won’t tell anyone, but he’s also right in saying that she needs to sort it out. But the question is… how? Meanwhile Zoe is feeling chirpy after her night with Anthony, but Kat was right to warn her on if she’s ready for a relationship. Anthony also got a grilling from Patrick and Yolande, but Zoe made her decision, and whilst Anthony is not happy, Kat soon backed her up. But another threat got her on edge again, and I’m surprised how she hasn’t put 2 and 2 together yet. But let’s just hope if it doesn’t come out next week, it’ll come out at Christmas.

Daddy Issues:

This week I started the new series of the show starring Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrisey. I can honestly say that I do feel sorry for Gemma, as I could see that Davina wasn’t helping her, and a trip to see her sister didn’t do the trick either. That and Malcom moving into a bedsit that’s no so glamorous, and even fixing the front door didn’t help Derek. Although I’m glad her chats with Rita and Winnie did help, with Rita giving Gemma a cup of tea in a unique mug. I also felt sorry for Xander when he came round just as Gemma was about to sleep, but at least he got her something nice for her and baby Sadie. Soon she Malcom and Derek came with a plan to kick Davina out. But after that didn’t work, Gemma finally told her to leave, which did wonders surprisingly. Episode 2: “pine cones and litter” saw Gemma deciding to go for a night out on the town after Catherine asked for a favour which she declined and questioned her old self. And after querying about Xander, I’m gutted that he’s seeing someone else. But at least she has Cherry by her side to help move on. Although it didn’t go too well when she started pumping, causing her to leave the pub. But I’m glad that Cherry said that she liked the new Gemma, knowing that children are you whole world. Elsewhere, Malcom babysitting Sadie didn’t took an interesting turn when Derek roped him into getting revenge on his ex. And after multiple visits to numerous Red Lions, we got to see an emotional side to Derek and why he brought Malcom and Sadie. But just as Malcom thought he was giving the game away with a FaceTime and “Foz coming over to use his toilet”, he eventually couldn’t handle it. So I’m glad Gemma found out before it was too late. Derek's ex Debs also revealed she wanted him at the event, which was surprising but funny. But I’m just glad they left when they did when Derek went too far.

Trigger Point:

This week I started to watch the new series of the show starring Vicky McClure. And wow already it was off to a brilliant start. And it all started when Lana was helping Ned, who was trapped in a car with a sign “confess or die”, and also mentioned her bad day whilst a new threat spies on her. She then realised that his weight affected the bomb and thankfully got him out just in time. It then led to her team in the pub, whilst reflecting with new recruit rich talks about Afghanistan. But during a visit, therapist and good friend Sonya talking about the packers of co-codamol but Lana stating how they help her sleep. She then went onto explaining a PIR, which is what was used, and after mentioning they don’t have the resources to go further, Lana demanded of speaking to Ned when no one believed her of it being more than a one off. And after talking to Hassan about why they do what they do, Lana and her team getting called into a university due to a suspected bombing, and rich finding a PIR with lecturer Agnes’s trapped and having the same letter as Ned. Lana was soon going rogue after seeing the bomber in question, and rich was unable to save Agnes’s and mentioned the clue Coldmarsh, and also having the sign “confess or die”. Episode 2 saw Lana saving rich’s life whilst Helen interviews Ned about his plans in Thailand and also queries him about Agnes. Lana and her teams were then searching Ned’s flat whilst Helen made the decision to arrest him, only result in him escaping. This led to Helen and Neil searching for Ned, but Lana found an Irish passport whilst looking in his flat. Ned was then locked in by the bomber and Lana tried to help him, but a little error cost him his life. Batra was acknowledging Helen’s and Lana’s errors, also giving an update on Ned's phone, and seeing forensics on what caused the damage with Sonya mentioning that Lana is right. Lana was then stating a theme, with Helen then stating that Agnes and Declan used go work at a construction company and decided to send a warning the other workers whilst the bombers health is deteriorating. On the way home, Lana's mental health was still not great whilst her parents had become distant again, calling Lana (which interrupted her trauma breathing exercises), who went to her parents house where her dad revealed he’s been sacked, linking to a company problem gone wrong. When she returned to work, and after Rich made a joke, he asked if he was able to return to work with Lana stating about a return to work process. Helen then revealed that Declan sent a message to Ewan Knox who’s an ex soldier and also the bomber. This then prompted Lana and her team setting off to check the addresses to find Ewan and informing Helen about it, leading to searching the house, and finding the real Ewan Knox on his deathbed, with the real bomber still out there.

Changing Ends:

This week I started watching the new series of the show based on the early life of Alan Carr. Episode 1 saw him reach the puberty stage, more specifically pining for classmate Jake. It all started when he went to his place of work, which was also the reason why he didn’t attend his swimming lessons, which was soon found out. I’m just gutted that Jake didn’t back Alan up when they talked about each other during a rugby session, but the boys soon teased him about his crush, who he soon covered as Georgie. And whilst his actual swimming lesson, he’s also happy when Jake turns up after revealing he got the sack for giving away free stuff and also giving the week change to his mum. Gary (who decided to not go) managed to save him when Leslie thee his glasses and forced him to get them at the deep end. It looks like it was going to be a new journey for Alan as he navigates all things romance when Jake saves him. Elsewhere, following the cobblers success in the last season, Graham needed 19k for a midfielder, whilst Ron roped in joy into getting out of it due to budget. And Christine over exaggerated her fame, with Ange as always getting in her way. Episode 2 saw Alan and Gary going to stay with aunty Terri while Graham and Christine. It didn’t get off to the best of starts, with Terri thinking they’re still kids after initially thinking they’re going to London (as Alan wanted to go to the best part of London). But they soon stopped at Terri’s local and missing mousetrap. But it all soon turned when Alan got hooked onto a game of darts, finding his feet. And after Gary got Terri some champagne from “uncle mick”, Alan soon spotted mick cheating on Terri, distracting her with men chat, also telling the truth and praising her. Alan was soon coming to realise that he was being realistic about the west end, with present Alan talking about the future and how at this point he was heading in the right direction. And good on Alan for up Jo to mick, even though he did accidentally stab him. And I can’t imagine how proud Christine and Graham are seeing Alan play darts, with present Alan realising how the little things are important. Whilst he was at Terri’s, Graham and Christine had a meeting, where Christine wanted to find out about Diane being there, realising the place itself is more formal. But Christine being typical Christine got into wanting to know Raymond and Nicole whilst over exaggerating about her life. But a joke got Christine leaving whilst Graham gets an offer for the Cobblers, but before they picked up Alana, Graham turned the offer down for the sake of his club and players.

Personal:

Exercise:

This weeks timings on the bike along with my usual exercises, were 13mins 13secs on Monday when I got to 10k, but 14mins on the Saturday, and sadly not making it to the 15k mark on Saturday. In my defence, I was coming down with a little bit of a stomach bug at the end of the week along with feeling tired from my morning shift at my non acting job, but at least I did some exercise rather than none at all.

Survey:

This week I only did a couple of surveys. It wasn’t too bad, as my mind was abit all over the place at the time. But I’m glad I scheduled it in when I did, as I think I needed the productive rest then.

Darts:

This week I had two practices of the sport. As always I focused more on getting a double first, and I got some good grouping sections as well. With the world days championships starting next week as well, I can’t wait for it to help me get inspired by this incredible addictive sport!

Family Meal:

This week I went out for a meal with my family. These consisted of my grandad, auntie, my cousin, her partner and their locket baby Florence. This was the first time I’d seen her, and she was the cutest thing I saw. I’ll be honest, even though I’m 25 (well 6 if you go down the leap year route ) but I don’t think I’m ready for a family yet. But at the same one getting to hold her was a unique experience but was also lovely at the same time.

Strictly Come Dancing:

This week I watched the rest of the Blackpool Extravaganza. I loved Alex’s couple’s choice, and we all need a Jonathan in our lives, and his poem to Alex was beautiful. And George did a brilliant job at closing the show with a salsa, and he definitely made his stance as the underdog in the competition very clear! Following on from that, they each performed a new routine hoping for a space in the quarter finals. My favourite one had to be Marne and Carlo’s couples choice, and I officially hope that she wins the show, as that’s the definition of an underdog. There was also the first “Instant Dance”, where there was absolute chaos. It’s safe to day that it was definitely live tv, but they all did a really great job. And I can’t wait for musicals week.

I’m A Celebrity:

This week I watched more of the reality show set in Australia. Some of the highlights included Ginge showing his romantic, Ruby and Toms pool ritual,  Jacks impressive swimming skills during the trial, and Alex and Tom talking about diversity. We also saw a new challenge in the form of “Rivals”. This saw the camp mates go head to head with each other, which included the live trial, where it was a drinking challenge filled with drama and tension. Afterward as. Vogue Williams also had an intense trial, and I praised Aitch for talking about his sister and how Downs Syndrome is it something to be ashamed of. As a disabled woman myself, it’s great to see people like Aitch fighting for the right accommodation for with those with access needs. With also saw Shona being camp leader and Lisa being deputy, and we all need a Tom Read Wilson in our life. As not only is his different accent switch from his posh personality amazing, but he’s always there if anyone needed a shoulder to cry on, like Shona who talked about her ex fiancée before coming in the jungle. And he might end up being the dark horse in the show, and also one of my favourite camp mates so far.

Gogglebox:

This week, the armchair critics once again had more stories to tell. Mary told Giles about his interference in her work which I found amusing, Andrew showed Alice a picture from his trip to Mexico, startling even Perkins. Ellie was chatting to Izzi about her bra shopping trip, and we also saw Teresa surprising Anita with penguin lights which she didn’t like. Pete was talking to Sophie about which qualities his children take after him and Paige, and Annie complemented Ronnie on his choice of shirt. Finally. Jenny complimented Lee on his moustache, and Ellie and Izzi talked about auntie Margaret’s whereabouts after her holidays. They also once again reacted to more stuff on the telly. “Strictly Come Dancing” saw steps open the show and the Goggleboxers join in, and the “BBC news” got them wondering when it is too soon to add Christmas decorations. “Stranger Things” saw Holly talking to an imaginary friend which landed her in danger, and “Songs of Praise” seeing Aled Jones taking us through school songs that are well known in assemblies, with the Goggleboxers joining in. “Animals on Drugs” saw a bear who was once an alcoholic and the host talked to Stanton's about his experience whilst the bear was trying to eat him, and “Celebrity Scam Interceptors” saw Amanda Holden being a big I’m in for latest episode. Finally, “Malice” saw jack Whitehall in a different light when Jamie tanner was murderer and we took a trip in time to reveal what happened, and “CBeebies bedtime story ” seeing Jonathan Bailey tell the story “Room On The Broom” with the Goggleboxers getting flustered for obvious reasons.

Challenges & How I Overcame Them:

This weeks challenges mainly involved adapting to the house whilst the kitchen was being fixed. Everything was abit upside down, and it did get me a little bit wobbly. But I had to think that it’ll be worth it in the end, as stuff needed fixing anyway. Another thing I had to work around was rearranging my smear test. I know this is an important health check up for women 25 and over, but because I was due to go on my “female thing” this week, I didn’t want to risk it. And given how it felt the last time I did it, I felt abit stressed therefore it might’ve affected how it went. So I’m hoping that with a new date and after doing the exercises to help it feel less painful (as I’m aware it’ll be discomforting but hopefully not the sensation of burning and stinging) I’ll be able to get through the test (and that if there is anything they need to look at again they can treat it ASAP). I also had to face the blow that this year due to reasons beyond my control I won’t be doing any elf work this year. However I was debating it due to a friend (and head of actors at the time) leaving therefore wondering if things may change. But with every negative there’s a positive, as it’ll mean more time to gradually wind down for the Christmas period and with the Open House event coming up (which yes it’s not paid but it’s a celebration for a amazing milestone) at least I’m acting in something. Finally I didn’t go to my archery class this week due to a lack of sleep and hints of an upset tummy. It did make me feel down due to it being one of the rare sessions I could’ve gone to, but at the same time I didn’t want to do anything that was going to make me feel exhausted. But I turned that negative into a positive by keeping up to date with a mixture of rest and also looking at admin tasks, so at least I didn’t do nothing.

What have I learnt this week? Every cloud has a silver lining. In this case, not doing elf work this year and doing the Open House instead turned into a positive.

As mentioned before this is my last weekly highlights of the year, but keep an eye out for other posts to come. These include more films I saw in 2025, events I’ve been in and what I did during the festive season itself.

See you soon for another blog. Until next time..

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
