Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. This week was slightly better, with my back slowly on the mend. But it also involved going back to an acting technique which for me personally is like marmite (you either love it or hate it), preparation for my performance in my hometown, and loosing a valuable item but managed to fix it.

Actors Pro Expo:

This week I watched the final two actors pro expo sessions. The first one included a session from Yvonne Lawlor, where I learnt about how to get my first tv credit with her and also get some tips and tricks. The second one was about getting your first gig in independent film. This one was a lot to take in, but I’m glad I got through it, as I learnt about how to approach it the right way and also learn about the hosts business they have got too.

Acting Classes:

This week was a new month which meant a new thing. This was in the form of the Meisner technique. Now this is abit of a controversial one for any actors reading this, as for me personally I struggled with it the first time and it was only at the very end where I can see why many actors use this technique. But the session we had was quite different. A lot to take in yes but the sooner I can get to why the technique is used in the first place, I think the more enjoyment I can get out of it. That’s just my opinion anyway, but this month I’m going to approach it with a beginners mind.

Content Filming:

This week I started to film some of my content for my socials. I didn’t get all of it done this week (as I was hoping to film it all this week and then use Monday and Tuesday next week to edit it), but I got 90% of it filmed, which was okay I guess. But hopefully with one sketch left to film following the workshop with Selina Mosinski aka charity Shop Sue, I can get it done as quickly and as fluently as I can.

Performance Rehearsal & Meeting:

At the end of the week, I had a brief zoom with the organisers of the event in my hometown. And it was really nice to see faces to names and also the people behind the company. Everyone was lovely, I got plenty of information of the night itself, and I can’t wait to see what magic we can bring to the performances themselves!

Act On This Podcast:

This week I listened to Leon Lopez on this weeks act on this podcast. I definitely learnt alot, including his journey from an actor to director, how he plans a shoot and some tips for actors who like myself are looking for their first or next tv role. It may have been the simplest things he gave out, but it’s those simplest things that are the most important. As you know what they say, less is more. But I'm glad I listened to it, and he also explained some of the setbacks during filming his short “Softlad”, which made me feel better knowing I was in a similar situation with my film!

 Coronation Street:

This week I watched the start of a heartbreaking week, with episodes from 19th and 21st May (but Roy’s veggie lasagna to Bernie was probably the only thing that was positive out of all of it) directed by the godfather of serial drama Duncan Foster. Craig may have had a decent start to his day, with a date with a girl lined up and the start of his CID placement with Kit (and also getting him a birthday present) shadowing him. But let’s just say Kit wasn’t the best teacher to begin with, along with facing Tim, Kirk and Steve for turning him down at bowling, and after some advice from Lisa about showing him how he really feels, it only made things worse when Kit told him he won’t make it as a CID. But he’s got bigger things to worry about. Following the previous episode where Kit revealed his past, he tries to confront Lou on if Brody is his after he was caught shoplifting (but also liked Betsy's attitude when he bumped into her spilling drink), but her not denying it must’ve meant something, with him then revealing the truth to Bernie after she questioned him on why he was soft with him. But Brody was soon at the station again where after Betsy questioned Bernie on if they reveal who grassed someone up, Brody started to get abit cheeky again. And after overhearing a conversation, he revealed Lou’s loyalty, which resulted in him lashing out at her in the process. And whilst on a rampage, Craig, inspired by Lisa, decided to prove himself by chasing down mick himself after a disturbance at their house fiz made. This news also prompted Sean and Gemma to change their statements, and rightly so, as when Craig finally caught Mick, it looked like disaster was about to strike when mick lashed out again and hit him over the head. It’s a good job Maria got to him with Sarah as a witness, and Asha and her team (who before offered Bernie the rest of her tea), managed to get to Craig after getting the call. Lisa then ordered her to go to the station and make a statement once she’s calmed down, and she also praised Asha for her hard work. And after helping her out with an unhappy patient, she needed to convince her that they needed to be strong, but Asha seeing her with Lisa and how upset she is made her realise that behind the police and paramedics there are human beings. And let’s say that got don’t want to mess with Lisa Swain when one of her colleagues gets hurt. Gemma meanwhile started to wonder if she was right to change her statement, and hearing the news about Craig may have cemented her decision when she puts two and two together on who did it, whilst Bernie also told Kit the truth. Lou meanwhile convinced Tim to go to the hospital bailing on Steve and Kirk’s bowling game (little knowing what’s going on), and help her get to a safe place with her girls, where she also pointed out that Tim would make a great foster parent (even if he does tell some awful dad jokes). And good on him for convincing her to get checked out at the hospital doing so, where the nurse suspects about her domestic relationship with Mick. And speaking of the devil, she confronted him herself to tell him to hand himself in, but when that didn’t happen, he was looking for revenge. And it did leave Tim with looking after the girls, which I’m not sure sally will react to well about it. But she may have other things to focus on when Craig wakes up, but then a setback led him to his death. A sad moment yes, but well done to Colson Smith for being the brilliant Craig tinker, and I can’t wait to see what amazing opportunities come his way next. But the next step now is finding Mick, and David was thankfully there when he came threatening Sarah, and she herself is not the happiest when she can’t get the truth from Kit of his link to Mick. But I hope he does get to Bernie in time after mick kidnaps her. I also watched the show from 23rd May, which followed the aftermath of Craig’s attack, which broke Kirk, knowing he treated Craig like one of his own. He then had the hard time of telling his date and also Beth the news, and I think all the residents were in shock. Lou meanwhile was in a date of bother, and Tim convinced her to not leave her kids, but it only landed her in a cell. And Lisa gave her a proper talking to. First about the incident and then after the interview making it clear on her thoughts on Lou protecting mick who is clearly a nasty guy. But the biggest scene came from a showdown following Bernie being abducted by Mick. When Kit reveals that mick killed Craig, it really was a proper fight, like something from an action movie. And Bernie also had a secret of her own, saying she tried to get in contact with Kit but his foster mum pushed her away. But her finding out he knew this may not be what she wanted to hear, but it may have been a good distraction to put mick in his place. And during Lisa interviewing him, after reading his statement, his plan to use Brody as an alibi didn’t go to plan (and my dad in particular found it very funny ). Sarah meanwhile heard of the incident, tried to ask Kit what the link was between him and mick, but maybe it wasn’t the best time, and rightly so, as after also not saying anything to Gemma and Chesney, Bernie visited kit and it seems that him keeping the necklace and the incident made them closer. Sally also had her concerns about Lou staying for the night, but Tim being the kind person that he is didn’t want her sleeping rough with the girls. But Lisa had the biggest job of them all as she literally kept her cool this entire time and it was only when she got back where she let out all of the emotions she was feeling. But I wonder what the next steps are when she asks Carla to marry her? I also watched the show from 26th May. Everyone was mourning Craig, and I was quite touched when Bertie put a Teddy Bear on Craig’s memorial place. And Kirk was not happy with Chesney knowing he was friends with her. But thankfully some convincing from Maria and co managed to bring them back together, as arguing won’t help anything. And the main question on their mind was how to give him a send off knowing Norfolk was family only? But I liked the idea of a memorial which I’m sure I’ll watch in the coming weeks, and barring Lou was all that Glenda can do after not serving her, knowing what mick has done. It also affected Lisa, who after the proposal to Carla, she was trying to use work as a distraction. But thankfully they managed to come to an agreement, knowing that once they’ve properly processed the grief they can think about the future. Eileen was also the main topic, scowling George for showing a lack of empathy for Jason not coming, but quickly realised the error of her ways. She also got another grilling from the police, which did show traces of her medication in Julie’s system and thinking he still blames her, bans brain from the funeral. But it was soon quickly resolved with a piece of butchers ham, telling the story of Julie’s crush on the butcher. And the flyers for the funeral were officially out. And Brody's “stuff” he had to do instead of looking after his sisters included trashing kits flat, and he’s certainly brainwashed by Mick when like him he thinks all coppers are corrupt. But along with making it clear to mick that he’ll make sure he ever sees the light of day again after what he did to Craig, the revelation that Kit may be his real dad and wondering how Lou really got the bruise only caused him to lash out more. Gemma and Bernie think that Kit shouldn’t reported it, and a snide comment from what really happened between him and mick didn’t help things at all But Bernie came to him with the old fashioned approach, trying to sway him away from crime, telling the young lad about Paul and how he turned his life around. But it only led to Kit arresting him again, with Lou revealing the latter to Sarah, realising he lied to her. And Bernie giving him an alibi may once again make things worse. And Ryan was curious to hear about Debbie’s fitness queries, but a visit from Ronnie's old flame Fiona out more strained on it. But Ronnie himself was also questioning Debbie on someone called Ross, who in fact was someone from the dementia support group. She didn’t mention that the Webster clan don’t actually know about her dementia still. It’s moments like this where I wish she would tell them. But Ronnie is also getting into a heated argument with Carl, and even barring him from the hotel. And things got more tense between Debbie and Ronnie, leading him to make a dangerous decision with Fiona. I also watched the show from 28th May, where Lisa was suffering from a cold, but managed to have the energy to tell Kit of Bernie's alibi for Brody (who questioned her as to if she had any ulterior motives), therefore being released. This obviously riled Kit, and with Sarah overhearing, he eventually told her of his history with Lou, and managed to give him some words of wisdom with the current situation. But she still had doubts in her mind, confiding in Bernie on her relationship, and then telling Kit if she can trust him knowing she's been heartbroken before. It seemed to have worked, but Kit had a plan in place, starting with telling Brody that he'll withdraw his statement (which he also informed Lou of this too), if Brody will start being on good behaviour. This then led to an attack on Mick, where Lisa (who was supposed to be taking the day off advised by Carla), found out it was Kit who orchestrated it, and warning her to not say anything, which can only lead her into more trouble if she kept the secret and then it was exposed. And after questioning Lou on her feelings for Kit, he got another visit from Kit, who said that Mick's life will soon be in more danger, and the only thin to prevent it is to think about Brody's best interest. And Kit wasn't messing about, clearly stating why he attacked him. But there was more drama outside of this situation. Maria was in a good mood when finding out and telling David that they can have a memorial for Craig, but it soon turned sour, and she was furious with Gary on having a drink with Lou, and even fired her in the process. But David's words of wisdom made her realise that like herself, Lou has a family to think about too, so made things up with Gary and gave Lou her job back. And George and Ronnie each confiding in eachother about their relationships. George having doubts on his relationship, but with Todd telling him he needs to focus on what she really needs, and then telling Eileen this where she reveals that she was angry at Julie's death but taking it out on George, they managed to come to an understanding. Then when he revealed he booked a trip, it soon came as a shock, and couldn't help but notice Georges uneasiness. And Ronnie soon decided to take the job after being grilled by Fiona, but then turned it down after the man he was going to give the car too mentioned issues with family at home. But it wasn't unnoticed by Carl, who made a deal with him, then approached Fiona himself who then gave him a job the next day, which took him by surprise. I wonder what his game is there then?

Hollyoaks:

This week in the village we saw arrests, a brief visit from a former villager and one resident hiding a shocking secret. Mondays episode followed on from the aftermath of a dramatic week. I don’t know much about graces sister Clare, but finding out she faked her own death was quite traumatic, so grace could understand why she wanted answers. And finding out as well Clare was also Banks’ wife changed everything! And after finding out he’s dead, she confided in grace to talk to Rex, knowing he was working with the police to stop it, she knew he had to kill him. But instead of killing him, after trying to get through to Ste (who was worried about Lucas following a complication with his surgery), he decided to hand himself in. But it only caused more complications, as Dillon, Vicky and Frankie decided to make a beeline for it, but loosing the third gun would only cause more trouble. But with Rex’s arrest, it’ll be difficult for them to keep this a secret. And that’s not the only thing happening. Dodger was thankfully freed by Rex, but banks’ was his only chance to find Victoria, and finally revealed to Sienna of him having her. Tuesdays episode saw the gang still feeling traumatised from the previous episode and refusing to cooperate for the interview. Whilst I get Donny’s reason, what Dillon said about how he felt was also understandable, and Misbah also admitting that her trying to push Dillon for responsibility didn’t help. But after a chat, they all agreed that Frankie would take the fall given her previous traumatic experience, but they have one woman standing in her way… Grace Black. And speaking of grace, she and Clare are in motion to stop the three teens revealing all, and after Nancy came round to give her a piece of her mind (and you do not want to mess with her), it only pushed grace to make sure that the teens keep her name out of it. I wonder how that will go down? That and the fact that she also knows about Diane taking the money, after one of bank’s’ henchman thought it was Clare. But there was more drama outside of this, as dodger is still distraught on not seeing Victoria, and explaining why he never told Sienna about it due to the rules of his job. But a quick digging on some old stuff led to some files being found out with Victoria in it. And whilst supporting Freddie (who is worried about Robbie am when he’s put on dialysis after his kidneys are failing), Mercedes comes across a letter which leads her to Warren. Now there’s an ending there. Finally Wednesday's episode saw the teens being interviewed. I won’t say specifically what they said as it’s hard to watch. But a slip of the tongue from Frankie may be lead the police to start graces downfall. Dodger and Sienna were also shocked to hear that the grownup with Victoria in Tommy's videos was in fact Clare, thinking that she was dead. And speaking of Clare, she was hot on her tail when she tried to grill Diane on the money. But thankfully she used the mother route when she revealed she didn’t have it, but the real culprit turned out to be Vicky. I wonder how she got it though? We also saw the face of Warren returning, and wanted her back. But after revealing her cancer battle and how her relationship with Freddie blossomed, Warren was in one of those moods where “if I can’t have her, no one can”. And after seeing them kiss, you’d think that arresting him would be the end of it. However, it only made things worse, as Warren then convinced Freddie to write a fake suicide note, which seemed to do the trick, knowing that Robbie (who has improved massively health wise), made it clear he wants nothing to do with him. But it’s a shame that Warren had to go so soon, and I can see why Donny let him go, as I completely forgot about the battle with Blue before the time jump.

Eastenders:

This week we saw proposals, breakups and bad influences in the community of Walford. Mondays episode saw Peter being abit on edge after the news of Jimmy's visual impairment, and penny convinced Lauren that he needs to pull his weight. And whilst the residents seemed to be happy with Jimmy, Peter was still defensive. But Cindy managed to bring them along with Kathy both together to sort it out once and for all. And after Lauren mentioned her struggles, peters comment about her being on drugs whilst pregnant set her off to nearly relapse, which I don’t think has helped the situation. And after being turned down by Linda and Gina when she wants a drink, she was then stopped by Zack, who she opened up to about what’s been happening, along with Zack opening up about barneys true paternity, where one thing led to another with the pair out of pure emotion. And speaking of Barney, whilst the family may have approved of Avani being girlfriend material, he may have ruined his chances after he had a go at her asking why he’s being more quiet than usual. But meanwhile Harvey attempts to take on a new adventure with Kat berating him. And after some advice from Nicola, it seemed that they were on good terms for now, but I think Kat may have something else up her sleeve. Tuesday's episode saw Barney being shut out by Priya following him lashing out unintentionally, but the family then decided to leave the cafe especially after bumping into Zack again. We also saw the follow on from Lauren and Zack's kiss, and whilst she kept it quiet, it didn’t stop the tension growing between her and Peter. And when she confided in Honey, she used a really good language analogy to describe someone with a disability. And I quite liked it. Peter also met a lovely couple who gave him hope that there is life and hope, not matter what the setbacks are. But things are definitely about to turn sour when Lauren reveals her near relapse. And there’s also drama elsewhere when after helping Kojo with his house viewing, he somehow tried to avoid Cindy's relaunch of the Albert, and Freddie and Felix are not happy with the prices of the menu. And the video for the relaunch did not go to plan when Elaine swirled a drink all over Cindy, and then deciding to hold a karaoke night on the same day as the launch. All I can say is I can’t wait for this competition rival to happen. And speaking of competition, Kat was trying to do everything in her willpower to get what she wants, and even getting Harvey’s friend cheeky to get her on board. And Harvey meanwhile is still trying to help secure and start his business. But cheeks ides of Harvey becoming Kat's silent partner did not go to plan, and I think it’ll cause more friction as the week goes on. Wednesdays episode saw Peter still in a predicament, but Kathy persuaded him to try be civil with Lauren. And after that didn’t go to plan, honey then informed Lauren, signifying that their relationship is definitely over for good. We also saw Jean returning from her getaway, and Kat tried to tell her about the partnership with Harvey, but her whining about him is not helping, leading to Kat giving her a wake up call and that whilst she’s allowed to be sad, she can’t let her heartbreak take over her life. But she’ll have something to look forward to at least when Alfie (who was abit scared at first but had plenty of reassurance from Linda) asked her to marry him. At first she thought she was joking, but when she realised he was serious, they celebrated in true style, even if they did get cramps lol! And of course Kim had some big plans for the stag and hen party (or Hag-do as she likes to call it but also to help Kat get money out of Harvey and Kathy), but Jean finding out and also about the partnership with Harvey may cause another family feud. And that’s not the only family drama, Felix and Freddie decide to walk out after not being paid, and after Kojo finally gets his new flat, George decides to help Cindy, which doesn’t go down well with Gina. But abit of persuasion as to wanting to make a fresh start eventually got to her side, although I don’t think Elaine will be very happy about it. And we’ll done Avani for hitting Joel where it hurts (literally) as Denzel called him out for how Joel sees Avani after hearing about her and Barney, but I think that’ll make things worse than better in episodes to come. Finally, Thursday's episode the the relaunch of The Albert. And whilst the karaoke night at the Vic was low, Elaine was obviously upset when she found out from Cindy herself that George helped her. But George made it clear of his boundaries as well. Meanwhile it was all systems go for Kat and Alfie’s Hag, and Jean was still not happy, even when Mo and Freddie convinced her to go to the celebrations. But she was also not happy with Kat reminding her of when Jean reported Tommy to the social, and whilst some convincing to come to the celebrations seemed to initially work, a plan to ruin the event was spotted, which later on led to a heartfelt apology. But I think the Hag was a success, and I particularly loved the theme and what people came as (and I’ll let you watch the episode which was from 5th June 2025 to see for yourself), but there was also more drama within it. Denise and Ravi had a first proper chat since the choice she had to make, and it didn’t go unnoticed by Priya. I think we’re sensing abit of jealousy there I think… and after Joel got a kick in the head verbally by Nugget and Denzel when he badmouthed Avani again, he decided to influence Tommy on getting to use Alfie’s credit card for porn sites. But he may have landed Kat and Alfie's relationship in trouble when she finds it out for herself.

XO Kitty:

This week I watched the rest of season 2 of this thrilling show. Episode 6 “Kiss and Make Up”, saw Dae needing to visit his dad in the hospital and whilst he was convinced he needed a part time job, he was against the idea, and managed to make peace with Min ho at his dads gathering (which I’ll mention in a moment) after an honest chat. Kitty’s sisters boyfriend also came to visit, and is convinced whilst getting a gift for LJ that Min ho still likes her, and also managed to give him some advice on Stella. And speaking of Stella, during a visit to his dads place, a comment made by Madison about her nose and her refusal to do karaoke with Kitty made her realise she is not who she thought she was. And whilst trying to get Min ho to see her true colours, it was revealed that he broke her heart and it made her more guilty. But Peter reassured her that her matchmaking helped him and LJ, so convinced her that Min ho will also come round in time. And she also has other things to look forward to, as the letters her mum wrote revealed that Kitty was going to go to a family reunion but died just before the trip, and after a failed attempt to talk to Yuri, their friendship is now back on track after Yuri helps her get Kitty and Jiwon together. And Mr Moon also revealed the real reason as to why he didn’t come to the ski cabin, and that was that Min hos brother got a girl pregnant, and to help with the scandal he decided to make the programme into a competition putting more pressure on Dae. But Stella’s next plan was something I wasn’t expecting when she planted a mic in the present min ho brought. And meanwhile, Q did everything he can to help Jin with a distraction from his dad, but an injury and Q taking his place may make things more awkward. The penultimate episode “Kiss of Death” saw Kitty having a sex dream about Min ho, with Q stating that like with Yuri, it meant something. But Q has a lot of other stuff to do when Jin asks him out to the cherry blossom ball. But she also has other things on her mind, one of which include the contest, where Mr Moon stated that the winner will get a chance to perform with Min ho's brother, and Dae definitely got tested on some tough questions, one of which was his relationship status, where after Min ho encourages him to say he’s single given the uncertainty of his relationship with Eunice, and with Yuri’s warning after helping him with picking the right outfit for the competition, his comment put a strain on their relationship. And whilst prepping Jin some food, Q also questioned Min ho on his feelings for Kitty, where it seems to him and me that it’s still the case, but thankfully he managed to help her with a family situation, and following Kitty and Jiwon realising that there are more family secrets than they let on, Jiwons Halmoni decided to reunite with her sister, trying to put things right. Juliana also informed Kitty of the internet cafe Stella goes to, and after not finding the evidence needed to expose her, and after apologising to Min ho at the cherry blossom ball during slow dancing to her favourite song (which was so romantic) she realises that all this time she has fallen for Min ho, and even using what he said on the plane in series 1. And her instincts of not trusting Stella still are right when Stella comes out with not only a new look, but a comment that made Min ho realise that Kitty was telling the truth all along. But it looks like he’s in way too deep to get out of it. But there may be a possible reunion for Juliana and Yuri on the cards during the dance, but after doing some research, I don’t think it’ll be the case. Finally, episode 8 “Sealed with A Kiss” saw Kitty contacting her sister Margot and saying that her grandma will agree to seeing Jiwon grandma. Jiwon also noticed that Kitty and Min ho still have feelings for each other, even though Kitty initially got it wrong (but more on that later). Q also got into a pickle about wanting to tell Jin about his offer a sports summer camp, where in the end at the concert, Jim was happy for him. Jin also lied about his injury, but the reason why he did was thoroughly understandable as he wasn’t pressured by his dad to keep doing well. Yuri also hoped for a reunion with Juliana after liking a story on her Instagram, but her happiness was short lived when Juliana and Praveena got talking, leaving her heartbroken. And her troubles have gone from bad to worse when Alex mentions that her family are now broke. I just hope that season 3 will see them recover from this predicament. The competition itself got interesting as Dae noticed certain things, like Min ho not having his typical drink, and Stella giving out certain drinks to everyone, causing Dae’s backup dancers to be ill. And after telling kitty she was right about Stella, he also confronted his dad about it, and when his brother Joon ho arrived and plans to marry the girl he got pregnant, a talk about family from both him and Min ho made Mr Moon realise that there’s more to life than work. Kitty then formed a plan which included professor Lee playing his guitars and Dae’s performance going to plan. And Joon ho's proposal also made his fans so happy, again ruining Stella’s plan. But good on Mr Moon for apologising for his treatment of Stella and his past mistakes. And after Eunice wins the competition (despite breaking her shoe but carrying on), Dae’s dad reassured him they’ll be okay money wise after revealing he’s got a case going on following his injuries. And with Min ho’s help, Margot and their Halomani (the Korean word for grandma) reunited with Jiwon's grandma, making Kitty realise that Korea will always be a part of her. And after finding out her scholarship will be renewed, she then tries to tell Min ho her feelings following advice from Q, but he has an adventure of his own after deciding to go on his brothers tour. But I’m so pleased when he lets Kitty come with him, and with season 3 now being known, I hope they can finally realise their feelings for each other.

Malpractice:

This week I finished the second series of this thrilling medial drama. Norma insisted to George that despite Eric’s orders, she makes the decision to look elsewhere amongst the case but disguises it as primarily focusing on James, but he is under pressure himself when he spots fizz from the nightclub, and so did everything he could to get rid of the evidence of her details whilst also convincing the staff to send her to a different department, in which James then confided in Kate in, and speaking of the two, Bernadette and precious were suspicious of their relationship, and they were right to do so which I’ll mention later on. But the biggest suspicions came after Sophia requested a c section, and then after trying to get new mum Freya’s baby out using forceps and vonteuse, Arun then went ahead with the c section. And during her interview with Arun and Eric, got suspicious and pleaded her case. That was suspicious to me too. But outside of the job, George confided in his girlfriend on the reality of the job, and also she convinced him to revisit his last after receiving a letter. But Brian advised him against it, and she has her own problems when she opens up about Rubi and also threatening Ben, Rubi’s tutor, when really I feel Rubi wants to quit medical school. But they also dived into Maria carters past with slme alleged accusations, and when James finally met her, she told him to stay away, which had severe consequences after a news report came in. And in the peak of the case, Eric offers Kate a new job, but is accused of abusing her position after revealing he knew about the photos of her and James. And pretty soon word got around, which came to the end of their relationship for good. And on top of that, James got suspended for his actions with fizz, but you could see that he was trying to plead his case, knowing how tough being a psychiatric registrar can be. And George managed to pick something up when James mentioned a clue about Toni’s first birth, so convinced Norma to look at the bigger picture. But with Maria now dead from suicide too, the hospital will have a lot of explaining to do. The final episode followed on from that as James searched for clues, and noticed a key name being noticed whilst being interviewed. And his chat with Arun about the name Victoria hall didn’t go to plan, and it only led to him going downhill, with his sister being concerned. But following Maria’s suicide, Norma and George then decided to discuss the plan, which involved meeting for Glyn armitage and midwife Lina Hussain about the trust in general. But they may have to research harder when they refused to put anything they said on records. And not only that, Norma struggles to get hold of rubi following the suspension of her tutor Ben, with George telling her that whilst she’s only trying to look out for her, researching him was abit extreme. But he has problems of his own when his partner Gina has plans for a building under the name Asquith archer, with Norma telling him how important it is to the case. This and a lot of files from the trust funds but never spent also linked them closer to the truth. During it, James was in denial about his mental health, trying to reveal what he saw and what he thinks linking to Maria’s suicide and how the name Victoria may link to it. Then was referred to a mental health place to help him. But after spotting the name Victoria hall, he knew he had to find out what was going on. He then met a couple who knew Maria but are not willing to give evidence, so begged Sophia (who was offered her job back by Eric and Arun, but also Kate that he lied about his job offer to her given the fact of her relationship with James) to come forward. And whilst his original evidence didn’t help, she finally came in and was willing to say her piece, despite her getting sacked from the job. Now I’m not a medical expert, but let’s just say that what Norma and George had to say definitely showed Eric’s weak spot, which led him to be arrested. But it came at a price for George, ending his relationship with Gina. And before his hearing, James managed to apologise to Rosie’s husband following recent events, but whilst he can’t forgive him at the moment, they’re certainly on good terms for now. And his hearing was a positive one, as despite the events from the series, the judge could see the pressure he was under, and so a 12 month suspension was the best outcome. But I can’t imagine him going back with Kate anytime soon, and at least the staff gave him the send off he deserved. Meanwhile, Norma reunited with Rubi, realising her errors, and George pays a visit to the family of a son he couldn’t save, but after seeing the news, they managed to forgive him, stating they don’t blame him. So o think all in all a brilliant way to end such an incredible second series of this medical drama.

Code of Silence:

This week I finished watching this brilliant new series. In episode 5, Alison definitely did some more research into the past crimes, and we also saw James meeting a close friend from a previous case, where the victim was the same person in the article by the same gang. And we also saw Ashleigh’s discomfort when talking about her divorce, which Ben reassured her about. James also stated that they needed Alison’s involvement with Liam for a conspiracy case, and Alison herself met her dad to gain advice on her situation. This then led her to telling Ashleigh and James (who also found out that the past victim Danny heath was a snitch and that’s the reason why he was murderer), what she knew, with Liam overhearing everything which is bound to cause some friction. But her telling the truth made the decision for a conspiracy charge go ahead despite Alison not going to court. And they needed to go to the next steps ASAP when Ashleigh makes a realisation and later on Nia mentions that Helen and Joseph have got them on the tail. But Alison begged Liam (who raised suspicions from Braden) not to do the robbery, but he won’t take no for an answer, and also after chatting with Eithan about it, realises that he connected his ear peace to her hearing aids. But as soon as the robbery took place, James is understandably mad about the management staff, and Alison managed to get through to Ashleigh on the real place of the robbery after a slip of the tongue. This then led to Ben (avoiding his lover) to head there whilst the robbery was officially going. But it led to Alison going in despite Ashleigh’s orders, and a technical fault from Liam lead to a plan B, but it only led to Ben getting shot and Alison interviewed. James then revealed after Alison mentioned how Liam hacked her hearing aids that Liam went missing from the hotel and revealed that he may be the one that shut down security, revealing that the whole plan was his all along! The final episode followed on from Alison’s interview, and the team wasted no time in tracking down Liam and Braden, and also revealing that he’s in a coma following surgery, which Sara is struggling and also is hostile towards Alison knowing she was there when it happened. She was also informed from James (who got Alison to do once last thing for them), that she and her mum needed to go to a safe house, where a security guard and Eithan helped out and after reading the article, Alison’s mum asked about if she was using him just as much as he was using her. Meanwhile whilst Braden stayed at a relatives and revealed Liam's betrayal to him, James and Ashleigh got the interviews with Helen, Joseph and Chandra going, but only had their statements and not the questions. And I don’t like Helen mocking Alison for her being deaf. That was not nice. But it didn’t take long for Braden to be spotted, and James came round to pass on the information, and also asked her questions linking to Liam's fostering journey, which led to Charlie (the man from the article) being his real dad. And dawn (the woman from the previous episode) denying everything. Alison then gets a burner phone from Liam and secretly meets him to discuss their relationship and why Charlie got killed. And after a point scoring match, she decides to end things for good, grilling him on her hearing aids and refusal to cooperate with the police. She even tried to convince mark to cooperate, but it landed her in danger with Braden (who’d been located in the area), taking her hostage. And Liam seeing it knew he had to do something, but not before confiding in dawn of his plan and refusal to go to the police again. But somehow he eventually convinced Helen to take him to Alison, and also revealed why he joined them in the first place. And with his hacking skills and using BSL to convince Alison that the police are coming, they managed to bring them down. Despite tempted by his offer, she made it clear her life is at home where she felt as though she had something to give. And good on Liam for pleading guilty, and it was great to see that Ben had fully recovered. I’m glad that Joseph was arrested for fraud as well, and despite not it making a difference to Alison’s current situation, she got her payment from the case which will make a big difference for her family. And after James handed her a university course designed in the work she did, something tells me it won’t be the last of Alison.

Personal:

Exercise:

Due to my injury I took a week off from the gym and focused on yoga and walking. But Thursday and Saturday was where I focused on the bike. Now whilst I didn’t give it my all, just to get my body moving was enough, and especially having a back injury which can have a major impact on my body if I’m not careful, it was an achievement in itself. Have a look at what I managed to get done on the two days I went on it below.

Book:

This week I finished the book “How To Be You” by AudHD content creator and activist Ellie Middleton. After reading “Unmasked”, I knew I would be looking forward to this. Getting some tips and tricks on how to work with your neurodivergent brain and not against it made it really insightful. I’ll definitely be taking away some of those useful tips from this book for sure, and even implement them into my own life after saving certain ones.

Surveys:

This week I only did a couple of surveys. This was partly down to the fact that I had other things like content filming and preparation for the scratch night in my hometown (as mentioned in the Professional section of this blog), and so they were of lower priority at the moment. But at least I got little done rather than none, which is something I guess.

Cooking:

This week I made a healthy Mac and cheese. This was made with peas and asparagus, and I think it was a hit with the family. As seen below, it’s good to go with abit of flat bread to scrape off any remaining sauce.

Archery:

After a week off due to my back injury, I was so glad to be out shooting. It was cut short due to the weather and lack of people, but never the less I had fun. And this time I even managed to track down how many points I got, and as I’m writing this, I got NUMBER altogether. So despite some arrows hitting the wood, and one going off of the target, I’m quite pleased with myself.

Darts:

This week I had 3 practices of the darts. I may have only hit one treble maximum in my 3 practices, but I did have come close calls as seen below. But coming from the back of my injury, I take it as a win overall, and getting back into the flow of things really does help.

The Assembly:

This week Jade Thirwell from Little Mix came to be interviewed by the group of journalists, and there were a lot of interesting answers. Paul had plenty of questions about The X Factor, and Luka asked her about pyramids, given jades Egyptian background (which I did not know about). Joseph also asked about if her relationship with her mum, and Tikara managed to get a duet in with her. Essin queried her about being a Muslim catholic like herself, and Essin also opened up about her experience of not only being Muslim catholic, but also about being transgender too, which was very brave of her. Jacob asked a question about her worst days, and Ali asked a question about her boyfriend where Ali himself also gave some relationship advice which I’ll definitely take away. Sophie also asked jade on if she stole a song, which led to jade talking about her days when she did back in music college, and Nicola asked a simple question about her dentist. Julis asked her a question on the positives of Liam Payne, and given what’s happened, I could tell the look in her eyes when she talks about him, knowing that they get the pressures of being in the music industry. Jenny asked a question about trapped wind, and Paris asked if jade could teach her some dance moves, which I even tried to do, although the song to it wasn’t the most appropriate lol! And Cameron asked a question about her eating disorder, which she was very open about, knowing that now it’s mainly women who get questioned on it most. But the group’s performance of “I’m Coming Out” had me in tears, but in the best possible way. Jade seemed to enjoy it too, given that it was her favourite interview so far.

Celebrity Gogglebox:

This week I started watching the new series of the Celebrity Version of this brilliant show. the things that many of the celebrities talked about before they reacted to the shows that took place this week included Alex and Jess talking about their favourite biscuits, and Jordan and Perry talking about feet. We also saw Babatunde and Mo talking about pizza, with Mo explaining about his outside pizza cooker. Paddy and Vernon talked about how they sound when watching themselves on the TV, and Rylan talking through a face lift with his mum. We then saw Jennifer telling Beattie about how to prevent spreading a cold, and Nick informs Liv of his recent health check. The shows they tuned into this week included "Celebrity Bridge of Lies", with Ross Kemp asking Rachel Riley questions with names linking to food, and "Canal Boat Diaries" where they saw all things weeds, homemade museli and getting stuck under a bridge. They also watched "Faking It", where decorator Craig went full on in becoming a makeup artist under the name "Murphy", and managed to convince the judges that he was the real deal. Mind you he did do a brilliant job with the model. "Race Across The World" saw Melvin and Brian take the ferry to their destination, where they went from first to last, and on "Big Zuu and AJ Tracey's Rich Flavours", they saw the worlds most expensive pizza, which for me personally, I wouldn't be too keen on. Finally, "Silence is Golden" saw a contestants mum answer some very vulgar questions, which she managed to keep silent, and the ITV news saw Elon Musk leaving the white house.

Challenging Times:

This week the challenging times I faced included loosing my purse which has my debit card in. But I kept my cool, cancelled it and simply ordered a new one. This will obviously mean that I need to invest in a new purse too, but thankfully this one wasn’t expensive which was also a bonus. I also had to turn down an in person audition not only due to my injury, but because distance wise it was something beyond my control. However, along with the performance in my hometown next week, there is also another opportunity for some work experience from a company who previously said no to my original audition. So fingers crossed something will come of it!

What have I learnt this week? The importance of rest and recuperation. And whilst it'll be a slow process to get back to my usual exercise routine, I'm glad I looked after myself to be ready for the week ahead!

See you soon for another blog. Until next time...

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
