Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. This week included the Scratch Night Performance, Father’s Day taking place and a weekend of the World Cup linking to my favourite sport (and no it’s not football). So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 9th June 2025!

Professional:

Acting Class:

This week in my acting class we continued to work on Meisner. This time we worked on exercises which were my favourite. Even though for autistic people reading people’s thoughts (which was part of the exercise) is tricky, I quite liked the challenge. As even if I don’t know, I can use what my mind is telling me in that moment. And let’s just say I need to go back to picking an activity for the next session that’s not too difficult but it can’t be too easy.

Performance:

This week was the week of the performance. And to say we only had 2 hours to bring the piece to life… I think me and my team did a brilliant job. We also got to see other pieces which were brilliant, and also got to see the associate of ginger dog giving his thoughts on each script, which I loved how thorough and detailed he was. Overall a really good night surrounded by great people! Keep an eye out on my YouTube for the vlog of the night, and also keep an eye out on my blog for how I got involved in the process in the first place!

Content Filming:

This week I managed to film the last part of content needed to not only film a sketch inspired by the charity shop sue session, but to also add segments of it into another sketch. The trickiest part was editing it, but I’m glad I can got it done during this week. Here is the full video of my charity shop sue inspired sketch.

Coronation Street:

This week I watched the show from 30th May and 2nd June. 30th May saw last few preparations for Julie’s funeral were well underway thanks to George, and Kirk was one of the many residents to send their condolences. And whilst the ceremony may have gone to plan, Brian finding out that Julie gave all of her life insurance to Eileen, infuriating him and Tracy stirring the pot is not helping, as it resulted in Eileen chucking champagne on her. And just when George was about to ask her to marry him, Jason arrived just in time to surprise her. And along with revealing that his girlfriend dumped him, he also came home to find out that George and Todd embalmed Julie’s body in order to protect Eileen. Just the welcome he needed lol! And after Eileen and Todd doing a wonderful speech, Eileen made it clear she doesn’t want to marry George, causing their relationship to be on the rocks. But they’re not the only romance that is having to be tested. Theo suddenly became very panicky, which didn’t go unnoticed by Todd, and it was revealed that the person who ran the service was someone who was part of the conversation therapy Theo went to in the past, hence why he didn’t come to the service. And despite Theo’s plea to not case any trouble, Todd decided to give Noah a piece of his mind, which for obvious reasons infuriated Theo. But after not asked Steve about if the community centre is free to use, I have a feeling what the next storyline will be. There was also more drama outside of the funeral. Brody was still angry for Mick not letting him see him, knowing he doesn’t want to come across as weak. And liu made it clear that she’ll deal with it, with Sarah finding out in the process. And whilst Kit managed to explain to Sarah that Micks attack was more for his benefit, Bernie managed to find out that Mick pleaded not guilty and also finding out that Kit was responsible. Abi was also shocked to see Carl working at the garage, then grilled him for taking a call on the job, little does he know that it’s in fact Fiona asking about the job which he did do eventually. He was also offered more work from Abi, knowing Tyrone is struggling to find childcare for Dorin, which seemed fine for Carl as Fiona then offered him another job. And Maria was also surprised to find out that Liam is still at the builders yard, with Ed managing him. But Liam is obviously going to get defensive when he found out Gary told Ed about Mick, but Ed reassured him that he was only trying to help d that Liam will come round. If that’s not the sign of a good guardian I don’t know what is. 2nd June saw an article about Eileen and George being in the paper linking to the situation with Julie, where she also got questioned by steve about her relationship with George. And after not being invited to Millie’s birthday party, theo asked Danielle on if she was the Ken who told the gazette, but managed to put 2 and 2 together when steve mentioned Noah asking about the community centre. But at least his relationship with Todd is back on track, knowing that he was only trying to help in the previous episode, and even thought about Todd during his visit to the cemetery with Sarah about baby billy. But he ended up playing peacemaker to Jason and todd after Jason and danielle flirted with each other, and ended up back at Eileen’s house (more specifically Mary’s room with her ben shepherd pillow lol). Knowing she did it knowing todd was Jason’s brother, danielle throwing the wedding rings down the drain said it all really. Despite making him and Theo stronger in the process, that was when theo ended up having to play peacemaker between the grimshaw brothers. Whilst it seemed to have worked for abit, Todd made it clear he didn’t want Jason around for long. And Jason could see that Eileen is not happy with her life (and the look on her face when Glenda assumed that she and George are fine gave it away abit), and so gave her an offer to move to Thailand with her. And with Sue Clevers exit shortly, I think I know what the answer will be. But that’s not the only drama going on. Abi set some ground rules for Carl, but I could sense some jealousy when he started flirting with Tracy, and there was also some flirting between the two when Abi questioned him on Fiona. But there was no escape from Carl when he came to join Abi and Kevin at the rovers during their husband and wife time. There was also tension between Sally and Tim who had a meeting with the social worker, and after making her feelings on it clear, Sally questioned him as to if it was something to do with Mason. Maybe a part of it was. Or maybe it’s something he genuinely wants to do. But at least he has steve to confide into, who mentioned about the reality of his divorce. And Sean makes it clear to Lou that Brody and Dylan need to stay away from each other, but he could see that she and the kids are as much of a victim and when Sean reported it back to Gary, Lou then makes it clear they don’t want any tension between Dylan and Brody. I don’t think it’ll last very long tough… I also watched the show from 4th and 6th June. Sally was still obviously mad at Tim for going behind her back, but helping Glenda with some paperwork and a chat about fostering made her realise that it's something she also wants to do, but was scared to do so. So it looks like Tim and Sally have not only made up, but have a new adventure on their hands. Dylan's release from the STC is also the talk at the moment, with Dylan making it clear that he doesn't want a fuss. But Glenda noticed a confrontation between the lads, which she reported back to Sean. Whilst Dylan was annoyed, Sean explained he was only just worried about him. Debbie was also defensive when she tried to get some change out (but maybe thats the dementia talking), and she still refused to tell the truth behind what's really going on. But even though Ronnie insisted he and Leanne are friends, I wonder if their chat says otherwise? but Debbie has other things on her mind when Kevin starts to feel unwell (but more on that in a moment). I could also sense Abi was abit jealous of Carl, so decided to warn Tracy on his personality. But it was maybe a dangerous thing, as Carl tried to get Abi to admit her feelings for him. But their near kiss was saved by the bell when she got a call from Kevin about getting an infection. Despite Kevin not wanting the news to go round, it was bound to happen anyway. He also has a situation of his own when Fiona's troubles landed him in trouble with a customer, but Ronnie was there to thankfully come to his rescue. Meanwhile, Todd was still at loggerheads with Jason, revealing that Eileen is considering on moving to Thailand with him, which then led to George making an offer to her. But Todd has yet another thing on his mind when despite Theo meeting Asha and Summer went well (with an initial hesitant at first), Millie turned up and revealed that she wants to move out of her mums. The 6th saw the follow on from that, and after Millie asked him to move back with her for good, his explanation on why he can't and how meeting Todd abled him to be his true authentic self only made her storm off. Despite finding her in time, something tells me she'll be a handful after seeing a spoiler. But Theo's speech resonated with George and Eileen, as whilst she preps for Thailand, and the police dropping her charges against what happened to Julies suicide, she also thought about how her money situation means she can life there for the foreseeable. Glenda on the otherhand wasn't convinced that George wouldn't go throuhg it, and after a chat with Steve, George managed to lay his cards on the table, prompting Eileen to realise that Julie was right all along. Despite George being heartbroken, they managed to get back on good terms along with Todd and Jason patching things up, and she certaily left in style. And a huge good luck to Sue Clever for her next adventures, you will be missed as Eileen, but I can't wait to see what you do next. But meanwhile outside of her exit, Sean's attempts to get Dylan back in Education didn't go to plan, and his encounter with Brody sparked Daniel to intervene, reminding him and Betsy not to have another situation like Mason. Ed as well is also suspecting that Dee Dee regrets giving away Laila, but she convinces that her work and maternity scheme is her main priority. I'm also glad that she and Daniel confided in eachother after both of their friends cancelled on them, but she was in for a further shock when James comes home, revealing that Danny cheated on him. But being sympathetic, Ed understands her situation and to also get her to have James blessing after wanting to move back in with the Bailey's. And to add ontop of it, Abi tries to hide her unease when Kevin asks Carl for a job at the garage, and Debbie is sensing some jealousy of Ronnie and Leanne, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Sally.

Hollyoaks:

This week we saw threats being made, affairs happening and a new sensitive storyline on the horizon. Mondays episode saw the news of Freddie’s “suicide” spread around, with Robbie in particular blaming himself for it. And despite going against Vicky's word and saying he’ll make his statement, one of Banks’ henchmen Guy makes it clear that there will be consequences if he says anything more, which landed him in a state of shock. And after arresting Grace but letting her go, everyone in the village made it clear that she is not welcome, and also finding out that Freddie’s “dead” sent her on an even more emotional wreck. But everyone was more surprised to find Clare Devine still alive, with Mercedes making it clear she is not to be messed with (and there’s obviously some enemy history between the two). Meanwhile Jez seemed uncomfortable when seeing a clip of Victoria and Dodger still keen on finding her, and Jez distracting him by saying he needs a break and his shifty looks mean he’s obviously hiding something. But I wonder what he’ll do next when Grace hands her back to the Blake’s (with Dodger making it clear that if Clare finds out about this they’ll be more trouble). Tuesdays episode saw Clare on the rampage to find Victoria, but not before getting grilled by dodger and Donny about Denis’s dismiss. But it turns out in fact it was actually Jez who killed Dennis, with liberty getting suspicious. Thankfully he managed to worm his way out of this one by telling her that he still has feelings for her (which is wrong on so many levels). And it also had an impact on John Paul, who had a wedding venue appointment with Jez which he missed due to being with Liberty. And the teens are freaking out about the next steps following Clare’s threat, but Frankie managed to stand up to Grace and making it clear that she ruined her life. But grace is about to be in even more danger when Clare found out that she gave Victoria to dodger. And it’s great to hear that Lucas is coming out of his coma, but Tony could see he was stressing, and managed to reassure ste he’s not failing Lucas because of his relationship with Rex. And it’s also obvious that ste doesn’t want Dillon anywhere near Lucas, and after seeing some spoilers, things are about to get dangerous for him. Finally Wednesdays episode saw Clare reveal that she knew that Grace gave tori to Dodger, and Grace ended up making a plan to gain enough money from The Loft to start a new life. But Clare visiting Robbie asking him for a favour could be the ultimate betrayal. We also saw the aftermath of Jeremy and liberty, with Martha asking him if it’s genuine, which he managed to deny it. But after overhearing him, libertys seductive methods managed to cast a spell over him. But the biggest moment in the show was Lucas getting out of hospital, but not before a comment from Ste made Dillon spiral, and even Frankie’s convincing didn’t help. But thankfully Ste could see after Dillon revealed that he was the reason he was spiralling, that Lucas actually needed people like Dillon, and so asked him to move in with them. Misbah is obviously apprehensive about it, and she was every right to be, as Lucas finding out that Ste kept him away from Dillon thinking it would help ended up in a violent result. That along with the fact that he’s recovering from a major surgery is the start of a new storyline on the soap…

Eastenders:

This week in Walford we saw weddings, breakups, reunions and bad influences. Mondays episode saw Kat stressing out about what she saw on her laptop (when really it was Tommys doing after Joel influenced him). But still after some support through Jean and Mo (who let’s just say that I don’t want to be wearing lingerie from someone who’s already worn it), Kat did her best to seduce Alfie before the big day. But the first attempt didn’t go to plan as Kim interrupted them for Alfie’s approval on the banner (which a typo made was quite amusing for me), and the second time was when Alfie made dinner. I do get Alfie’s point of view after what he went through with his cancer (where getting into the “mood” requires a different approach) but Kats discovery makes her abit more insecure. I just hope the truth will come soon, otherwise there will be no wedding at all. But Yolande and Patrick also have problems in their relationship, as he offered to give her a massage after straining her shoulder, and she also refused to get Patrick to walk home with her. I have a feeling it’s something to do with the deceased Pastor Clayton and her experience (which I have researched on and it was very horrible to see). And George is also in deep water with Elaine, where a lunch to celebrate Kojos new flat and junior returning was ruined where junior revealed where George really was on the night of Christmas Day. This was obviously due to upset Elaine, expressing her insecurities once again, and George confusing in Cindy was not what she wanted to see after trying to find him and make a decision on their marriage. And after telling the kids to be nice to him, Vicki was also shocked to discover what Joel was really up to after getting with Avani, and he got on the wrong side of tommy when querying about his school work. Tuesdays episode saw the follow on from Elaine seeing George and Cindy together. And George for a grilling from Linda, but his comment back didn’t help, and I could see she was clearly affected by it. But Elaine herself got in contact with Drew Peacock once again, who reassured her that George loves her, and that if she can’t love herself how can she let anyone else love her? But hooking up with a stranger at The Albert is going to make things a whole lot more complicated. Kat and Alfie are also having their own dilemmas, and after Kat confided in jean, and Alfie confided in Patrick (who also has his own problems which I’ll mention in a moment), they managed to be open and honest with each other. Alfie was quite vulnerable on when it comes to the wedding night, but kat managed to reassure him that there was no pressure, and also gave him something which might help (which I won’t reveal as it’s a family show lol). But the mention of the website is where Alfie got confused, and after looking, the suggestion of Tommy got Kat worried. And she was every right to be, as Joel managed to help him with the best man speech after Tommy admitted he was dyslexic. But what Joel said about the meaning behind it was crazy and even though they managed to convince Ross and Vicki of their friendship, Ross is still on edge when Joel asks for friends round after the wedding. And Patrick and Yolande are having their own relationship problems, with Yolande admitting to Denise that since pastor Clayton, she thinks that he’s being distant, with the back massage in the previous episode saying it all. And Denise’s help only made things worse when Yolande thinks that Patrick is trying to control her body for her. Oh dear… Wednesdays episode saw the day of the wedding for Kat and Alfie, but Kat was worried about what life would be like to be a married woman’s again. First the twins vomiting on her new shoes after Alfie gave the boys too much sugar, then the limo getting stolen, and whilst Alfie managed to talk to tommy in his own way, Kat also had a word with him, but also mentioned how proud he is of him. And I’m glad that Jean stood up to Alfie after Harvey had a go at him for the limo. But that wasn’t enough as Kat voiced that she didn’t want to get married. And trouble was also in paradise for Elaine and George after her one night stand. Whilst Linda was understandably shocked, she’ll still stick by her mum and convinced her to come clean to George. And Goethe himself tried to win her back with the help of Phil (who’s soo advised him to not confided in his ex’s when he has problems) and his karaoke gesture did not help. And after seeing some clips, something tells me it won’t end well. And Yolande and Patrick were once again having difficulties, but Denise put Patrick on his place and after speaking about her traumatic experience, made Patrick promise to listen to Yolande and what she wants rather than him thinking what she needs. I just hope it works. Finally, Thursdays episode saw the follow on from Kats decision to call off the wedding. But after a chat either Jean (who gave her another slap but somehow laughed it off), and Alfie getting Phil to fix the bus and also confiding in his problems, they realised that they’ve both been a pair of wallies to cancel things. And Mo also  saved the day by being the celebrant where it all went well! And Patrick and Yolande's relationship was also back on track after Denise gave him a right talking to, and his proposal to her was just what she needed to hear. But it’s not the same with every relationship. Elaine explained to George why she did what she did, and even her present to him wasn’t enough to save their relationship, and despite Gina lashing out when she found out, I’m glad that she reassured her that despite what she did, she’s still a better mother than Cindy. And Tommy's speech at the wedding May have made Kat proud, but Joel brainwashed him into thinking that he didn’t listen to him, and a video he showed him of a guy and his views of women is also snippets of the dark path he’s about to take Tommy down.

Last One Laughing:

This is both professional as it’s good to keep up with the latest professionals in comedy, but also personal because ad the title says, I need a good laugh. Whilst the first episode got me chuckling, the second episode didn’t make me chuckle as much, but it was good entertainment to see these comedians not only make each other laugh but to also not laugh themselves.

Personal:

Exercise:

To say I’ve had a back injury the week before this new weekly highlights, I’m glad I got my fitness routine back to where it should be. I had 2 sessions at the gym along with my usual yoga routines, and I also managed to go on the bike twice. Whilst the aim was just to get back into the swing of things, I had some good timings to get to the 10k mark. These included Mondays time of 14mins 34secs and Saturdays time of 13mins 49secs. And the results of the full 20 minutes as seen below were for me personally a good result given I had an injury not too long ago.

Surveys:

This week I managed to get at least 2 surveys done. I knew they wouldn’t be my main priority given the fact I had a busy week this week, but because this is also a form of self care for me, I’m glad I added it into my week at least once.

Father’s Day:

This week was also the Sunday where Father’s Day happened. I’m very grateful to have my dad around, and despite the odd disagreement here and there (I mean what father and daughter relationship doesn’t have one), I wouldn’t want a better dad than him. But I know for some of you reading this, it isn’t always the case. So however you’re celebrating Father’s Day, make sure you look after yourself and enjoy it in your own way.

Cooking:

This week I made a delicious steak dinner. Whilst the cooker was the slowest thing, I managed to pull off a delicious bbq style meal with some rice for my dish in particular as seen below. And I’m glad I did this meal this week as next week it’ll be back to basics. But it’s the basics that are the most delicious!

ree

Darts:

This week I had 4 practices of this sport. Despite a pinched shoulder towards the end of this week, I managed to get some good practice in. I also managed to get some good scores in the doubles and trebles area as seen below, and that is a win for me.

World Cup of Darts:

This week I watched the tournament that sounded over the weekend. I must say, there has been drama (particularly for team England), suspense and some all round great darts playing. And this tournament has helped me through some of the moments that weren’t so easy (which I’ll mention towards the end of this blog), which like acting, is also why I love this sport.

The Assembly:

This week I watched the final episode of this interview show with a twist. This time Gary Lineker was in the hot seat. And the questions did not disappoint. Jacob asked if Gary says to his children “I love you” when asking about his dad, and Jack also asked him who was  the worst person to work with, which was then followed about him and his exit from the BBC, which he was very calm about. Ben asked about the goal scorer of the 1986 World Cup, and Caroline asked about walkers crisps, as he was famous in the ads. Nicola (who gave Gary a cheeky kiss), asked about takeaways, and Paul asked him about the social media drama linking to the BBC and also asked how much he gets paid. Sophie also showed her Japanese language when he asked me him about Japan, and also got him to try and conquer one of his fears. Julice asked about a picture he had on a tv show, and also asked about his sons cancer, which Gary was very honest about. One interviewer (who mentioned that her mum fancies him) also asked who was his first crush,  and Ali asked about him not being sent off or booked for career. Essin asked questions linking to Saudi Arabia and also asked his honest opinion on make footballers coming out as gay, which Gary had a positive reassurance on him. Harry very cheekily asked about shoe sizes and vice versa, and Jamal asked about being in the flow state. Luka wanted to do a duet with Gary and also give him some partially melted chocolate, and Elijah asked about what he would like to be remembered for. And he honestly didn’t mind. And to end the episode, Jamal did a beautiful dance to Nessun Dorma.

Soccer Aid:

This week I watched a tiny bit of the match for Soccer aid. I only watched the smallest bits of the match, and despite not being a football fan, it's good for celebrities to come together to raise money for an important cause. And following Sam Thompson's challenge to raise money for Soccer Aid, it makes the cause even more important.

ree

Celebrity Gogglebox:

The week more celebrities (including Luke Littler), reacted to more of the biggest moments in telly this week, but not before seeing what they get up to before then. Rylan and Linda discussed their favourite crisps, and Krishnan and Jasmin talked about jobs. Perri and Jordan talked about cost of living, and Munya and Jamie showed off their new helmets. Ben and Cat each showed off their glasses, and Bantunde was adamant that Mos pottery won’t make antiques roadshow in the near future lol! Ginge was also surprised at Luke for not having tea and coffee, and Richie and Ellie talked about spontaneity and how they need to be more spontaneous. This weeks shows included the “1% Club” in aid of Soccer Aid, where I even got a rhyming slang question right before then and “The Yorkshire Bet” saw a sugar glider for the snip (which was abit unpleasant to be honest). “This Morning” celebrated Fish and Chip day talking about unique combinations and drinks with this traditional meal, and “Casualty” saw a simple A&E run ending with the van crashing into Holby General whilst someone was having a heart attack. “Clarkson's Farm” also saw Jeremy going to his first cattle auction with no idea what to expect, and Trump and Musk made the news on ITV again. But the biggest and scariest thing I saw was “Heretic”, where let’s just say that Hugh Grants character is someone I don’t want to come across.

Challenging Times But How I Worked Through Them:

This week one of the challenging moments was having to turn down an acting gig after initially saying yes to the offer. This was due to a mixture of personal reasons beyond my control and being wary of my back which I injured a few weeks ago. Whilst I did feel a sense of guilt, I worked my way around it by having something else to focus on, which was the World Cup of Darts. And this sport was more or less the same way with some of my other challenges I had this week. These also included turning down some extra work as part of a bigger project and also turning down this weeks archery due to a pinched nerve in my shoulder and also weary of my back injury.

What have I learnt this week? Finding the other things in your life outside of your main passion can help you when you least expect it!

See you soon for another blog. Until next time…

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
