Shooting In Nature, Treatment For Festival An Emotional Time For Me!

Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. It has been a busy and up and down week for me. This includes working on the treatment as part of an application to submit for an upcoming festival, a day of filming in a beautiful manor next to nature, and a day where for myself, it’s a tricky period. So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 9th March 2026.

Professional:

Story First:

This week I looked at the treatment of my Story First writing submission. It was harder in some places, but easier in some, as I had to have a maximum word count for each section. But I feel like I’ve made a good start, so between now and the deadline, I just need to fine tune it, go over everything to eventually get it submitted either by the end of the month or the day before the deadline at the latest.

Autism Acceptance Week:

This week I managed to start editing my videos together. As I’m writing this, I’ve got 3 of my videos edited, which is a really great start for me. I just need to edit the rest of the videos next week, sort out my blog, plan my 5k walk and then I’ll be ready to go! Click the link to my just giving page into show your support, and now it’s nearing the time, I can’t wait for you to see which person and what show has inspired me as an autistic person!

Acting Jobs:

This week I applied for more jobs to develop my skills and potentially explore networks with other creatives. I’ve made the decision to delete some applications, as I either don’t have time to do the auditions or some of them weren’t right for me. But for every application I’m saying no to, I’m saying yes to another. I also know that saying no to the hood will help me make room for the great, so let’s hope I’m right about this one…

Acting Class:

This week we looked into the penultimate week of techniques used by Stella Adler. Along with a scene given to us from a previous week, we looked at another scene from “Prisoners” using what we’ve learnt to use in an audition process. It was a lot of analysis, but it was also beneficial and will help us get into a good space for just performing them next week. And

I’m really excited about it.

Intimacy Coordinator Workshop:

This week I had a workshop with intimacy coordinator Stella Moss. This was an eye opening session for me, learning about how it works, how the role itself comes into play, and the boundaries actors have when it comes to scenes of a sexual and violent. We also did some exercises, including verbal tennis/squash, one word stories and learning about the different types of hug. I did it solo, knowing that it would be safer and more comfortable for me personally, and I got alot of praise from her. With the option of another session happening, I can’t wait to see how these skills develop!

Showreel and Headshot:

This week I filmed a scene at Thurgatory Manor to hopefully add into my showreel. The scenery was beautiful, the nature there was calling to us, and whilst my scene didn’t feature it, we even had an actual car used from the original 1920 Great Gatsby film. I thoroughly enjoyed filming with my scene partner, and I have a feeling it’s going to turn out beautifully. I also had some headshots taken, and whilst it was only one look (which was ideal as my aim was to get a new main headshot for my showreel), I had a few that were my favourite! Yes it was a tiring day, but a very productive one! A new area to explore, brilliant creatives and a day to develop my skills.

Act On This Podcast:

This week I listened to a podcast from Downtown Abbey star Rob James-Collier. Once again this was a really insightful session, and yes he may have a jokey side, but when it comes to talking about the craft and the business side of the business, he takes it very seriously. Overall, a brilliant session to listen to, and I’ve definitely taken a lot of notes about taking risks, something which I need to implement into my own life.

Coronation Street:

It’s safe to say that a lot has happened on the street, where I watched the show from 4th and 5th of March. At the Platts, we saw Shona and David prepping for Harper’s surgery, getting a text from Dr Harper to wish then luck and made a joke after Bernie mentioned his love of pies. During this, David was reassuring her it’s going to be fine, whilst the rest of the Platts were talking to Gail, with Jodie suggesting to visit Shona and Toyah wanting everyone to be positive. I don’t think it’ll make a difference though, as David was asking how long it’s been since the surgery started whilst the rest of the Platt's came with Toyah bringing in food. But Nick talking about the food ended with an emergency from Harper, resulting in kicking out everyone. We then saw Jodie apologising to David, and soon making out to another mum she’s Shona. Whilst that was going on, David and Shona used a cinema analogy to talk about the surgery, and soon telling the family (who didn’t leave) that Harper is fine and that the surgery went well. David and Shona were then professing their love, with Jodie looking on clearly agitated by it. We then saw Jodie coming in to see Shona and David the day after the surgery, soon talking about why she’s here. Back at the house, Bethany was looking for the house for Lilys homework, and whilst Bethany gets a call from Max, Lily finds Jodie’s box. At the hospital, David got a call from Gail with Shona and Jodie teasing him about ABBA. Pretty soon, Jodie saw Nikki and got talking, only to be caught out by the real Shona. Jodie was then fabricating the story, which Shona believed and explained the type of people, which I think is what Jodie is. We then saw David, Shona and Jodie reflecting on how many surgeons helped Harper, using a Jesus’ disciples analogy, with David and Shona showing affection making Jodie jealous, and then convinced her to get some rest. It soo led to Lily asking about the box with Bernie’s head and Brian’s book, nearly getting caught out by Bethany. I think that Jodie seemed abit threatening, as even though she claimed it was a joke, I don’t think Lily was buying it. In the prison, Lou was asking for Debbie, who went to hospital. But she soon came back and revealed she had another TIA, explaining to her what it was, with Lou offering her services and reflecting on life after she revealed a relative of hers had a stroke. We then saw Lou taking to Sally, organising another visit with her, and soon visited Ronnie after she mentioned about another TIA, reassuring him she’s fine but Ronnie soon got to the phone after not being convinced. Debbie was then confronting Lou about “interfering”, cutting all ties with her. We also saw Carla enjoying time with Connie whilst watching interior design, with her and Lisa maybe catching a cold. But they were then talking about sympathy sneezes, reflecting on shona and David. Later on, Lisa was checking in on Carla and Connie, and allowing her to say Becky’s name after talking about the past, with Carla being fine with it, with Lisa soon teasing her on Carla’s exes. But the baby duty continues as Carla was working from home, only to be interrupted by Sally for Carla to fill in some forms, soon stepping in when Connie wakes up. Sally was giving Carla and Lisa tips, and I could see their disinterest (which was quite entertaining), with Connie crying again. I could also imagine what Michael and Izzy were thinking whilst having a drink in the Rovers, wanting to stay due to Carla being at home. There was also drama at Shuttleworths, as Todd was showing Summer the reviews, and Theo claiming to be easy on his birthday, with Todd revealing he used his allowance, and soon mocking him about a gift from Billy. We then saw George, Christina and Glenda talking about the case, with Mary saying what she told Dev, but a call from the solicitor spelled good news. George was then reporting to Todd about the case being dropped, with George treating Todd to sandwiches to celebrate. He was then soon asking Todd to help promote Shuttleworths, with Todd getting himself into a pickle and breaking his phone. George then came into the wanting to celebrate, with Mary being curious, whilst Todd found little cash on the pot, resorting into selling the jewellery from Billy, making out to Theo he got his present which is why he hasn’t been answering. Back at the Rovers, George was getting intoxicated, soon revealing it’s over. At Shuttleworths, Todd sold the jewellery and hiding it from Summer, with George then revealing Annie is still taking George to court, with Todd offering to help but George admitted that it’s over.

I also watched the show from the week commencing 9th March. First off we saw, Jake giving Sam symptoms after not feeling right, soon being sick, spotted by Leanne. She was then checking in on Sam, secretly having ADHD medication, and soon confiding in Nick about him. We then saw Leanne offering to watch a film with Megan, querying about Sam, with Megan making out she doesn’t know. Megan was then chatting to Will, caught by Leanne thinking it was Daniel. Leanne was also sensing Sam’s temper, and soon got noticed by Megan. But it may hint the beginning of the end for Megan, as Leanne was asking Daniel about having a word from Sam, where Daniel revealed a phone call Megan had wasn’t with him. It then came to Leanne, Nick and Toyah talking about Sam, with Daniel and Megan coming in, and Nick suggesting to take him to the peaks, with Leanne making a joke to lightened up the mood. Megan then revealed in cancelling their plans with with Daniel, and Leanne sparking concern, which was then followed by the Battersby sisters talking about Ben, whilst Leanne reported her findings on Megan. And Hope was querying Sam on who’s his bully, encouraging him in his own way to stand up for himself. But it didn’t seem to work, as Sam trying to stand up to her didn’t go to plan when she manipulates him again. But with spoilers for next week’s episode, the truth is about to come out… Elsehwere, Theo’s birthday was taking place and Summer thanked him for everything, with Todd getting him a food blender. We then saw Todd making a booking and George recovering of a hangover. At the bistro, Theo was debating to call Millie, whilst being greeted by Gary and Maria and invited them to join him, where they were talking about presents whilst he calls Millie, which failed, soon lashing out at Todd. Once he calmed down, Todd was talking about the case, only for Theo to pay the bill to humiliate him. When they got home Theo was complaining about being “humiliated” again, soon getting violent after claiming to have a rubbish birthday. The following day, Todd made out that he was ill following Theo’s violent streak, and Theo himself was sleeping in his car and being spotted by Gary. The two then met in the cafe, who has a tracker on his phone, soon encouraging him to make up with Todd, little knowing of the situation and Theos true nature. We then saw Todd trying to work the blender, only to be caught by Gary, who tells him about sleeping in his van and ask if they want it. It then led Todd and Theo chatting, but it lead to a break up, where my dad thought it would be more explosive than that. But it was all part of Theos plan, as Todd listening to some mindfulness whilst on a run with George was reflecting on things, and Todd was bumping into Theo and comforted by summer. Christina and George checking in, with Todd ringing a bank to make out he needs a replacement card. Everyone at the rovers were supporting Todd, only to bump into Theo, who guilt trips him into the breakup and reported it back to Sarah. It didn’t take long for Todd to spiral, as he was soon intoxicating himself in alcohol, and James took him home, only to be tracked by Theo who got violent in his car. Summer and George were then talking about Todd, with Theo coming in about James, soon talking to Gary about Todd, whilst gossiping about the woman who accused George of fraud and over exaggerating the story to Jenna herself. Todd was then taking over calls about bad comments of Shuttleworths on social media, and whilst Ollie suffering a hangover from Jim’s funeral (which I’ll get into in a moment), Maggie was complaining about George, barring him along with Christina and Todd after trying to stand up to him, with Glenda leaving to stand by her brother. It was clear that Maggie had a 6th sense when Eva came in, who was just checking in on her and asking if the funeral brought back memories of Ben’s dad, demanding that Glenda stays. Whilst that was happening, everyone was having a meal in speed Dhal and talking about the events, only to be spotted by Theo, who tried to get into Todd’s good books again, using a dating app to rub it in. Megan was also having a chat with Maggie, claiming it’s a mistake, but didn’t say. Soon enough though, Glenda got her job back. There was also drama with the love triangle, as Lauren was noticing Amy and Maggie, and after serving Adam and Alya a drink, she claims she accidentally spilled a drink on Amy after Maggie got into her ear. Ollie later on found Lauren, coming for her coat, only to be seen by Maggie and apologising for spilling the drink on Amy. I don’t know what changed her mind, but soon Maggie was encouraging Lauren to show Ollie what he’s missing, claiming she was wrong about the two of them not being together. It seemed to have worked, as Ollie and Amy having a date at Speed Dhal, with Lauren coming in with Betsy’s support which Ollie noticed. During this, Maggie and Ben were talking about Frankie, reminding her of the past, only to be interrupted by Ollie who claimed there’s a miscommunication, with Maggie giving her thoughts and moved onto Lauren, with Susie interrupting the pair. Soon enough Ollie confronting Maggie when he clocked her plan, and soon Lauren revealed why she turned Ollie down after trying to play it cool, only to be caught by Amy when they share a kiss. As mentioned in the next two sections during an emotional moment from Steve, things were about to kick off. We also saw David testing a baby monitor whilst hearing Connie crying, talking about what will happen when Harper comes home, with Jodie coming in. Whilst Lily was finding her PE kit, Jodie told her they deliberately lost the kit on purpose. But she’s about to get into more trouble, as Adam and Alya (who has her own drama but I’ll mention it in a moment) we’re talking to Jodie about David the dogs business. She soon brought the dog to work, with Maria talking about her time at the kennels and Betsy teasing her about “the past”, and Adam had a go at Jodie for David the dog again. After Michael was asking about David the dog, claiming that he’s Jodie’s “support dog”, Adam and Alya were having dinner at speed Dahl to talk about a client at Fabian’s, and offering to take her on holiday, and soon getting a call from someone. Whilst Adam was annoyed with poo on his car again, Alya was secretly meeting someone (who it’ll be will all be revealed in a moment). Soon David was making up a lie when Adam came round, reporting it back to Daniel, and the person Alya was seeing was none other than her old boss at Fabian’s Rich, who was also the person she got a call from. Daniel was then telling Adam to catch them, and whilst Jodie and David made the joke again, Adam got it and posted it on a community group with Alya getting out of the car to meet him. Soon enough Adam was reading out the comments to Alya and Daniel, being uninterested in Alya’s links for a holiday (whilst discussing holidays and making a joke). We then saw Jodie sorting Lily’s lunch, whilst also talking to David about the joke they made, recalling David’s incident with Ben. But it was interrupted when lily was showing the video, making Jodie worried about her “manic boyfriend” being on the trail after the post, and David offered to ask Adam to take it down. Whilst Alya was asking about the links, David and Jodie came to apologise, and Alya was quick to tell him to delete it after spotting her on it. We then saw Alya meeting Rich and talking about Jenna Mackie (the woman who’s accusing George of fraud), making her have a choice. Glenda was then talking about the client and Adam gave Alya a present, revealing Adam stole Rich’s clients but soon having fears and little knowing where she’s been up to. It was also an emotional one for Steve, and it all started with him moaning about a customer whilst Sally comes in and asks if he’s on a diet, opening up on if he’s ready to marry Cassie, only to get a call about the funeral and do the eulogy. Ben was offering his services to steve, and saw Amy going on a date, sparking jealousy from Maggie and Lauren. Sally and Tim were then talking about Jim’s funeral, and soon enough, Steve getting ready, with Cassie complimenting the suit and Ken offering his recommendation, whilst teasing Amy on her date with Ollie. Ben soon offered steve his tie, and asking Ollie about Amy, going noticed by Maggie and having another date (which was as mentioned in the previous section didn’t go to plan). Steve was then talking about the eulogy, with Ben and Tim coming to it, and soon enough Amy was complaining about Ben, only to be interrupted by Steve looking at photos of Jim’s and steve praising her counselling skills. Soon enough the day of Jim’s funeral came, with Leanne comforting Steve. Ben was also getting ready for the funeral with the help of Eva, revealing it to Maggie, who was not happy. Tracy and Cassie were then bickering about who was sitting next to Steve, and reflecting on Deirdre’s funeral in the process. Afterwards, the Reception at the rovers took place and Maggie was wanting to know the gossip, soon leaving quickly when Steve’s friends Declan and Davy came back. Everyone was then talking about the 17 people that were there, and Maggie asked Ben to let his friends leave and reminding him of his appointment, having a go at her because of the time and place. Whilst they were talking about more memories and Steve’s condition, a toast was interrupted by Lauren and Ollie coming in, causing Steve to leave. But the tension was soon brewing when one of Jim's friends met Maggie, reminding her of the past. Soon Eva found Ben in the pub, and reminded him of his appointment. It was also surprising for me that Tracy was having sympathy for Cassie for once, and also agreeing with her to get Steve to apologise to Ben. At the cab office, Steve and Tim talking about the night before, and Ben missed his appointment. Tracy was then reporting back her gossip in the Rovers, and Eva was begging him to get checked out, and asking if Maggie’s okay. Soon Ben got a new appointment, but a joke got Maggie worried, resulting in her coming to see Steve and ask about the hereditary condition.

Hollyoaks:

This week saw a resident open up about the trauma they had following last week’s episodes, one resident digesting the news of her devastating diagnosis, and a plan set in place when another resident is in danger in prison. Mondays episode saw the aftermath of Diane getting the news of her results, which definitely left her distracted by everything. Her happiness of Tony coming back was also short lived when he announced that Dom will be staying over, adding the pressure to tell him the news. She was then dragged by Nancy to a yoga class ran by Prince (in which Theresa and Dodger teased him for, thinking it’s to impress Vicky), shocking Leela but in a nice way. But the class soon came to a half when Diane casually blurted out that he for stage 4 ovarian cancer like it was nothing, followed by explaining her symptoms and how long she had them. It all got too much for Nancy, and she and Leela convinced her to tell Tony the truth. But Tony found out for himself, sending Dom home in the process, and I can only imagine his reaction when she tells him she only had 6 months to live. I don’t know what work they had to do to get to where they are now, but I was impressed by Nick Pickard and Alex Fletcher’s performance, and I can’t wait to see how the storyline develops. Elsewhere, following last week’s emotional episodes, Theresa offered Dodger a support group to talk about what happened, considering it and also invited Dodger, who immediately turned him down. But Misbah used a different tactic to get him to open up, by him showing her how to make pizza. This then got her to open up about her experience (which I remember really well), and eventually led to him revealing his childhood, which really sums up why he couldn’t open up about his feelings. Whether he goes to a support group or not, opening up to her was a start. But they may have more trouble within the family, as Dillon went to see Lucas again, with the family thinking it’s a “mystery friend”. It’s clear they still have feelings for each other, with Dillon reporting back to Lucas about everything that’s happened with Donny. Lucas then got a surprise visit from James, and his plan to help Lucas break from prison was his way to get back into Ste’s good books, adamant he wants to serve his time for what he did. I don’t know if the burner phone was a gift from James, but it definitely helped when it came to communicating with Dillon. And after seeing spoilers, it’ll only spell danger. Tuesdays episode saw Tony, reflecting on his experience with cancer, speaking to the senior doctor after talking with Darren about Diane’s diagnosis (who was informed by Nancy earlier). When finding out he was also the person who took Diane’s test, he decided to take matters into his own hands, but not before the two were letting off some steam. It was then where they were caught out by the kids, who were shocked when Diane told a lie to stop them from worrying. Ro in particular was shaken, knowing how much alcohol affected him while he was transitioning. Soon enough Diane accepted Tony’s offer to look at the private consultant for a second opinion, but with Alex fletcher set to leave the show, I don’t think it’ll look took great. There was also trouble for HayRay, as Dillon overheard Lucas getting attacked. Thankfully Donny came to sort out the situation, but gave him some advice on how to spend his “best years of his life”. But Dillon was adamant he wants to be with Lucas, even if it means waiting until he did his time in prison. But there’s more danger on the horizon, when Sully finds himself in his room. And Theresa was teasing Mercedes about her connection with “Jake”, also querying about what Warren lacks in her throuple with her, him and Gemma. Finally, Wednesdays episode saw Nancy and Darren talking about Diane’s diagnosis and how to go about it, finding a little joke about how they’ll both get a motorcycle after thinking they need to live their life to the fullest, whilst also questioning if seeing a specialist will be a waste of their time. But the Hutchinson’s bond may be broken when the kids were being put on the spot by Nancy, who told Diane about making up a story saying they’re thinking about getting divorced again. But Nancy was understanding as to why Diane wanted a second opinion from a different doctor, and when they explain to the kids that Dom doesn’t have cancer, and that working on their marriage is the reason why they’re going to London, it only strained their relationship further. Meanwhile, Mercedes’ plans to put the spice in her relationship with Warren didn’t go to plan when he was with Gemma, thinking that his date with Mercedes was the next day. But he soon made it up to her, in more ways than one… and Dillon got a grilling from Frankie and Vicky about Lucas, with Vicky repeating what Donny said about “living the best years of his life”. But Frankie (who was supposed to be looking at flats for London) could see why Dillon wanted to wait for Lucas, but even she couldn’t hide her shock when Dillon mentioned his plans on going to South America when Lucas goes free. I’m glad Froggy didn’t listen to Sully, because I don’t think you can fake a video of sexually assaulting someone, but him saying he’ll kill Lucas forced him to take drastic actions. We then saw James come back into the picture, and despite Rex getting Dillon involved but not saying anything, the truth about why James is here soon came to light, with a breakout being the last resort. I did see that Oscar Curtis and Nathaniel Dass are rumoured to exit the show, whether it’s true or not, next week’s episode is going to be a tense one.

Eastenders:

This week saw the aftermath of a resident going into care, one youngster feeling the strain, and one resident taking things so far that it reaches breaking point. Mondays episode saw Priya worried for Ravi (but making out to Avani and Nugget he went for a run), who was actually at the gym, and Mark soon followed after Lauren gave him his whereabouts. He then gave an update on the informant case, making out that they’re cool with everything. But Priya was soon hit on his tail and demanded an explanation, and she soon caught Mark at the apartment, where she soon let slip about Ravi’s rivalry with jack and joe he got involved. But her having a go at Ravi tipped him over the edge, as whilst initially thinking he was going to run mark over, it turned out to be quite the opposite. At the Mitchell’s, the aftermath of Nigel going into a care home began to take its toll, with Lexi feeling like it’s her fault everything is changing along with news of jay selling the car lot. But a visit to see Nigel (in which Phil declined claiming he needed ti be with Sam for her radiotherapy), did the trick, even if he did mistaken her for someone else. I can also imagine Julie’s face when Elaine came with her and ended up promoting herself as council again. But I do wonder when Phil will come when Nigel asks about him. And after Priya couldn’t go to the induction, Lauren was wondering about the future following the news of the car lot sale. Penny motivates her to go for it herself. I can understand why Lauren was upset about Peter being against the idea after not getting a loan, but after Ian hesitatingly helped Oscar get a job for working with him at the council, he was surprisingly supportive towards Laureen idea of getting the business for herself. But his suggestion to get money off of Max to help didn’t go to plan. Tuesdays episode saw Ravi take Mark to the woods, where he reveals he’s the rat Marks been looking for. After admitting to killing Nish and beating Nugget whilst spiked, Ravi then promoted Mark into hitting him. This causes worry for Priya, and had to put Vicki and Ross’ takeaway night on hold to stop it. They then came to the aid of Phil, who at first declined coming with them, but Vicki making a stand against his family values couldn’t have come at a perfect timing, as after Mark admitted about threatening her, Phil came to stop Mark doing the unthinkable. But it wasn’t enough for him to get the job done, as Priya begging Vicki for Mark not saying anything is only going to make things worse. And I can only imagine what she’s feeling when she sees Ravi’s self harming scares. Elsewhere, Alfie returned from Australia, and was quick to comfort Sam after her radiotherapy session, offering his services if she needed to talk after his own experience of cancer. Cindy was surprisingly on Lauren’s side when Oscar asked about the car lot, and she gave Max a talking to when he said himself he wanted to be a better father. After initially asking Jack, Lauren was thrilled when Max made an offer to Jay, but I dread to think how it’ll run when Max is adamant he’ll be running things despite Lauren having ideas. Wednesdays episode saw Priya still worried about Ravi following her discovery of his self harming. It then got her confronting jack, eventually revealing that she knew about Ravi being an informant, but he also revealed about how jack offered Ravi out following the hostage at the pharmacy. After asking Vicki about Mark (who bless her is already scared) she gave good news to Ravi about Jack letting Ravi go, but it obviously didn’t sit down well, and refused to get help. Whilst she didn’t reveal the whole truth to Avani and Nugget, Priya updated them on his mental health, and an honest chat about who Ravi isn’t good enough (hence maybe why he wanted to continue being an informant) eventually led him to getting help. But they better watch their backs, as Mark told

Ross that he needed to catch the rat in 24 hours otherwise Vicki will be in danger. For the Branning and Beale clan, Lauren’s first day at the car lot didn’t go to plan, as even Peter’s present wasn’t enough. Max was definitely getting on my nerves when he was starting to “act like the boss”, claiming that he should have the say because he owns the place. But I could totally get why it’s a big deal to Lauren, and Max was slowly warning up to her ideas or how to make the place great. And Lexi was bunking off school making out she was ill, so had a spar day with Sam and Phil, which was what Sam needed after a gruelling radiotherapy session. But soon she was caught up by Callum, making her see how important school is. With Phil offering to take her to the doctor after making out she’s ill, I have a feeling it may be more than that. And I think I was right… and Thursdays episode saw Ravi go to the doctors, clearly still shaken up. I can understand Priya's frustration when the doctor mentioned when the referral will be, but at least some resources whilst they wait is better than nothing I guess. I thin Avani and Nugget could tell that something was up, and Nugget coming into see Ravi didn’t help. Ravi was then convinced that he’ll be fine with the meds after Priya tried to get hold of him, but the question I’m wondering is, if he’ll stick to them or not get addicted… elsewhere, Oscar was landing himself in hot water whilst helping both Elaine and Ian, but soon got caught up in a sticky situation, resulting in him getting fired. And Vicky begged Phil to get Mark to be out of the orders from his gaffer, which he did, but at a cost. Despite promising Vicki he would go straight, it looks like it won’t last long. It all started when Lauren was stressing about selling a car, and Louie drawing on her paperwork didn’t help. With motivation from Oscar and despite some harsh comments form Max, she may have been onto something when Mark wanted to take it for a spin. But it soon spelled disaster when someone mugged it, all whilst he was getting a sandwich. I was abit annoyed at how Max was more focused on the car than Lauren, but i dread to think how they’ll react when Mark was part of the mugging… and Phil was still on edge about going to the care home to see Nigel, but Julie’s words may have giving him food for thought.

Kiss Me, Kate:

This week I watched the classic Coke Porter product which was recorded in YEAR starting Adrian Dunbar. It was exactly what I needed, particularly for an emotional and busy time (which you can skip to “Mothers day” if you want to read that in more detail), and who doesn’t love a good musical eh? And I knew Adrian could sing, but wow he just took it to the next level. The definition of stage and screen right there, and for a man in his 60s, he’s still got the move!

Personal:

Exercise:

This week because of my cold I had to tone down on some of the exercises I did. But I gave 100% into what I had, so at least it’s better than nothing. I also went on the bike once due to my acting commitments (which you can go to “Showreel Filming and Headshots” to see the full section), but I managed to get to the 10k mark in just under 13 minutes. I think that was a mixture of knowing I wouldn’t have had a chance to do a second bike ride and frustration from my cold, which I’m very pleased with myself. But hopefully next week I’ll be able to get back to my usual routine.

Mother’s Day:

Got obvious reasons this day is not my favourite. But me and my family celebrated in our own way, and for me, I had a day off of my “muggle job” (as an early start for me on Mother’s Day is not a good combination), had a delicious meal as seen below and watched Coronation Street (which you can see in “Coronation Street”). So all in all a really great Dwayne to celebrate an emotional day.

Survey:

This week I completed some more surveys, with some on Tuesday and some on Sunday. As always it was a very relaxing form of self care, and I’m nearly at the point where I’m going to get some cash for one website. So in my opinion not a bad week for doing some surveys.

Darts:

This week I had 2 more practices of my favourite sport. The results for these sessions was finishing on tops (where I had 49 left scored), and after miscalculating the scores, finished on double 1 after 7 busy scores and 5 missed match darts. I definitely need to work on how many throws I have, as I keep getting little scored below 100. But in the second practice, I got my first 100 as seen below, which for me is a win. It has definitely kept me motivated to keep going and maybe hit that 180.

Premier League of Darts:

This week the tournament came to the hometown of Nottingham. Whilst I missed the first three matches, the rest of the night had alot to offer. Luke Littler and Gerwyn Price were neck and neck, and the semi-finals brought more drama on the oche. But Johnny Clayton was the one who won the night, becoming the first player to win two nights. And to notice that he wasn’t 100% due to injury (as he was limping alot), he did pretty well to get that win. And for anyone moaning “oh get over it, you’re literally just throwing an arrow”, it’s not just that, he may have been in abit of pain, therefore making it harder. If that was the case, he did get well to get through it, also showing an example of how even if you’re not 100%, you still need to give 100% into what you have in that moment.

Paralympic Winter Games:

This week I dipped in and out of the Paralympic Winter Games. I say dip in and out as because of one of my setbacks (which you can see in “Challenges I Faced & How I Overcame Them”), I couldn’t properly focus. But we got a medal from Neil Simpson in the visually impaired skiing, so at least we came home with something. But I know that the athletes that have competed in the games were chosen for a reason, so they’ll know that they have tried their best which is all you can do. I just can’t wait to see what they bring to the French Alps in 2030.

Gladiators:

This week I watched the last of the semi finals of the iconic game show. This week we saw Ella and Emily, and Finn and Hinley. “Destruction” saw a close call for the famed contenders, and Apollo breezing through it for the male contenders. I do hope for Bionic making a speedy recovery, as “Hang Tough” saw Finn win it, but like the good sportsman he is, made sure the gladiator was okay after sustaining an injury mid game. And even though he won, Viper was still sulking after beating Hinley. “Duel” saw Emily got beaten by Dynamite, and “Atlaspheres” had the male contenders combined into a “Steel Hammer” (if you knke you know). “Unleashed” saw Emily and Ella beat the gladiators, and Legend wanted to see what “The Normal People” were like. And “The Eliminator” as always was the highlight, with Hinley just missing out on a spot despite doing well to catch up with Finn after he got a 8.5 second head start, and Emily was the fastest runner up. It’s safe to say that the semi-finals are going to be interesting.

I’m A Celebrity… The Coming Out Show:

This week I watched the show where we found out what the celebrities got up to after they left the jungle. From early departures, to milk bottle revelations, it definitely had it all. It brought back so many memories when I watched it last year, and I forgotten what a brilliant bunch the pair were.

Googlebox:

This week I watched more of the show where it was watching people watching TV. But they had plenty to say, as Lee talking to his partner Steve, soon interrupted by Jenny, whilst Mary was doing Giles’ hair which was hilarious. Danielle was gossiping to Daniella about her flirty night out, and Jenny and Lee were sorting the washing. Pete was recalling to Sophie the story of his daughters hair, with Sophie recommending a place to learn, and Abbie was talking to Georgia about her meal she made. And Ellie was showing Izzy her tattoo (which looked amazing), and Simon asked if Jane noticed his haircut. They also watched some of the most talked about moments on the box set. “The Floor” saw two contestants guess dishes containing potatoes, with the Goggleboxers joining in, and “Married At First Sight Australia” saw Alissa and David, but a joke from got David questioning Alissa got me and the Goggleboxers hooked. “Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere” saw the famous interviewer meet influenced Harrison Sullivan, with his mum slowly not being impressed (and for obvious reasons I was also shocked by what I saw), and “Britain's Best Mattress: How To Sleep Better” showed a couple have sleep problems, and then seeing different kind of mattresses. “Will & Ralf Should Know Better” seeing Will backing out of doing a trapeze act, but Ralf’s motivation got him to do half of the first step at least, and the “BBC News” talked about oil prices going up following the Iran war. Finally, “The Capture” saw the team has caught someone after he tried to change his identity, with Isaac turner talking about deep fakes, and the leading lady spotting “Correction” in the victim, but soon came face to face with the guy himself, and “The Morning” saw Ben and Cat interviewing a woman fall in love with an Irish AI robot.

Challenges I Faced & How I Overcame Them:

Some of the challenges I faced this week was not getting into something which i auditioned for a few weeks ago. Whilst I did feel gutted about it, I also learnt that it’s nothing to do with me, but because the talent is so high I can imagine how many other people they saw in the process. I also know that a negative can turn into a positive, as you never know what’s around the corner. Another challenge I had this week was having my dads cold. I knew I wasn’t feeling right at the start of the week, and I don’t know if going to the gym was the best idea. But I just simply took it easy that week, and I still managed to get alot of stuff done in that time. I was also having to sort out my “proper job schedule” after being offered a film to record in a few weeks time. But when there’s a Will there’s a way, and if in the event I can’t get it sorted, I can simply work my way around it after looking at the timings of filming.

What have I learnt this week? Patience is it's own reward. Something that a fellow Actors Workshopper said which really resonated with me, particularly how I had to turn down a acting job which could've changed my life. But hearing him say that really got me hopeful that it'll all change.

See you soon for another blog. Until next time…

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
